I don't think they mention it in the guide so i looked it up (anyone can correct me if anything is wrong) : - S.Coups was noticed while shopping and was originally cast as a vocalist. - Jeonghan,same thing. - Joshua lived in the US and was playing guitar in Koreatown where someone from Pledis discovered him. - Jun was with friends in front of a convenience store in China when he was spotted. He was interested already in Kpop so he accepted (also he was a kid actor) - Hoshi got spotted while performing in a dance competition. - Wonwoo auditioned. - Woozi auditioned. - DK auditioned. - Mingyu was casted while going home from school just because of his visuals. - The8 was in a dance academy in China and was discovered there. - Seungkwan was on a singing contest and one of his teacher filmed it and uploaded the video. Someone from the company saw it and invited him. - Vernon was casted also while hanging out. - Dino was discovered in a dance competition (also both his parents are dance teachers so he always was into dancing)

I'm an ATINY (and forever will be) and ATEEZ is my ult group. I never thought another group could EVER sweep me away like the teezers did. I've listened to a lot of different groups since I started with kpop and Seventeen (so far) is the only other group who managed to convince me to stan them. Like, seriously, they are SO good! And I say that as an ATINY and we know how high (!) our standards are because of atz. I consider myself a carat now, too! Reminder for context that Rock with You was released during COVID so I really view this song as missing performing and sharing music with Carats. The last scene that mimics a concert really cemented that for me! Most of their music is about each other (the team and members) or CARATS but a lot of the early stuff was very funky/energetic. I love seeing people fall for Seventeen because I am a huge multi but even before I STANNED stanned seventeen I just objectively thought they were SO IMMENSELY TALENTED in vocals, dance and variety so once you take the time to learn about them it's pretty much impossible to not appreciate them.

The fact that you noticed that their formations are often diamond shaped (which is true!) is awesome. I can't wait to see your reaction to their dance practices. Fun fact, if you put the members in order by age (95 liners on top, under them the 96 liners, under them the 97 liners etc.), they form a diamond 💎 Diamonds are a big theme with Seventeen in general. I also love that you paid attention to all the differrent parts of the melody and background vocals, I think that Seventeen have a lot of songs with incredible production (thank you Woozi!) and harmonization. And now that you mentioned the Suchwita episode with Woozi, it would be really cool to see your reaction to it as well (or at least please watch it in your free time). The theme for EVERY...SINGLE...SONG Seventeen sings is to and for Carats. Every love song, every heartbreaking ballad, EVERY...THING. Woozi, who writes 90% of the lyrics for the group has never had a girlfriend or even dated. (Not that he hasn't wanted to...he's just been so busy all of his life in music schools, etc.) So the ONLY love of his life are Carats. The whole group voices that "love" of their lives. That's why EVERYTHING Seventeen puts out is wholesome, positive, uplifting, and so full of love and happy energies. Even "Don't Wanna Cry" is about losing fans they love; or "If You Leave Me"--written while everyone was in Covid lockdown--that brought Hoshi to tears is about their fear of losing fans during Covid because they weren't able to be with and perform for them live. Just the thought broke their hearts. So what is their theme? CARATS!! And the song they end every concert with is "Nice" aka "Very Nice". If you want a sampling of their songs and the voice that goes with them, watch their Killing Voice video. It's SO MUCH FUN and you'll learn a lot about their voices and personalities. I've watched it at least 50+ times, I promise, and I never get tired of it or people's reactions to it. Seventeen is the ONLY reason I even listen to K-Pop! LOVE THEM!

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. It's so strange to see this MV after i know everyone's names. UwU . =0p This is my fav song. Before i heard this i did not like the little i heard before 1-2 songs. This was addictive. I watched this MV last year like 20 times. On 1st listen i was in love and the song was added to my playlist. Seeing this now they have changed so much. Grown more. Loved the vocals, so good. Great harmonies. Hoshi looked cute as usual but so did Jun, Joshua (damn), Jeonghan, Onenew, Seungkwan, Mingyu, Woozi, Vernon, DK, The8, SCoups, and Dino. The theme for EVERY...SINGLE...SONG Seventeen sings is to and for Carats. Every love song, every heartbreaking ballad, EVERY...THING. Woozi, who writes 90% of the lyrics for the group has never had a girlfriend or even dated. (Not that he hasn't wanted to...he's just been so busy all of his life in music schools, etc.) So the ONLY love of his life are Carats. The whole group voices that "love" of their lives. That's why EVERYTHING Seventeen puts out is wholesome, positive, uplifting, and so full of love and happy energies. Even "Don't Wanna Cry" is about losing fans they love; or "If You Leave Me"--written while everyone was in Covid lockdown--that brought Hoshi to tears is about their fear of losing fans during Covid because they weren't able to be with and perform for them live. Just the thought broke their hearts. So what is their theme? CARATS!! And the song they end every concert with is "Nice" aka "Very Nice". If you want a sampling of their songs and the voice that goes with them, watch their Killing Voice video. It's SO MUCH FUN and you'll learn a lot about their voices and personalities. I've watched it at least 50+ times, I promise, and I never get tired of it or people's reactions to it. Seventeen is the ONLY reason I even listen to K-Pop! LOVE THEM!

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. It's so strange to see this MV after i know everyone's names. UwU . =0p This is my fav song. Before i heard this i did not like the little i heard before 1-2 songs. This was addictive. I watched this MV last year like 20 times. On 1st listen i was in love and the song was added to my playlist. Seeing this now they have changed so much. Grown more. Loved the vocals, so good. Great harmonies. Hoshi looked cute as usual but so did Jun, Joshua (damn), Jeonghan, Onenew, Seungkwan, Mingyu, Woozi, Vernon, DK, The8, SCoups, and Dino. Jeonghan's tongue i did not notice until my 3rd watch. eep. What a pest! Lol. Feels. This one really caught my attention. A year later I am a new fan and i have more songs on my playlist. Fun fact I actually got interested in seventeen after their guest appearance on I-land, but I didn’t start the discography dive until after Hybe game caterers last year (hopefully this’ll add some anticipation for when you react to that). It’s already so hard to pick favorites but Hot, Rock with You, _World, Very Nice and 24H are definitely high on the list.
