I just got Oud Wood and have both on right now. Maybe Oud Wood is more rounded and Oud Noir is spicy? That's what I'm Getting right now, but I'll have to see
Sampled Oud Wood and found it very good, was gifted Oud Noir and found it very good. I’d choose Oud Noir for the price point and ability to overspray without losing financially.
To me personally, I feel Oud Wood is fresher and Oud Noir is warmer/sweeter. I like Oud Wood and might grab a bottle one day, but I currently own two bottles of Versace Oud Noir and enjoy wearing it in the fall. One of my friends asked me to bring my bottle to a wedding we are going to later because he wants to try it and compare it to Oud Wood, which is a fragrance he’s been thinking about purchasing recently.
Impeccable timing with this video. I had Oud Noir in my cart, but still waiting to test it again on my skin. But this comparison is greatly appreciated, thanks
I agree with you 100%.I have both Tom Ford Oud Wood and Versace Oud Noir. Oud Noir is one of my favorite in my collection. The opening of Oud Noir can be a bit challenging, but after it dries down , it is absolutely stunning. The performance and projection outshines Oud Wood. Oud Noir is like the dirty cousin of Oud Wood. Tom Ford is one of my favorite fragerance houses, but for me Oud Noir is the clear winner over Oud Wood.
This was a good breakdown. I’ve smelled both and liked both but I bought Oud Noir. However, Oud Wood smells very sexy and sophisticated on others. Great video! Thanks for sharing 😊
I had oud wood for one year. I barely used it. Sold it and bought versace oud noir. It's same in opening but dry down is different. Still great fragrance. I picked for $60 100ml.
Blind bought the versace oud noir. First smell i was immediately repulsed. Thought all those reviewers were mistaken. Fast forward 4 weeks and its my favorite scent in a collection of 20. I just cant get enough of it. So seductive and classy.
Thanks so much for your content, may I ask you, please, if you can tell 2 or 3 of the best oud perfumes in terms of mass appeal in your opinion? I love Haltane and OFG.
Oud wood is one of my all time favourites, just so intoxicating. I've tried Versace Oud Noir several times to see if it would work as a cheaper option, but there's a note in it that really doesn't vibe with me. So IMHO, sorry to have to disagree 😅 it's TF Oud Wood hands down winner 🏆
How would you recommend testing each of these? I have a travel stick of each and like them both, but I want to be objective. Also, is Oud Noir discontinued?
I LOVE and have BOTH but I PREFER Tom Ford Oud Wood!! I actually LAYER Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 and Tom Ford Oud Wood and PERFORMANCE IMPROVES. Tom Ford Oud Wood for the WIN!! 🏆🙏🏽
In the context of fragrances, "woody" refers to a category of scents that are derived from woods, resins, and other natural materials. Woody notes are often warm, dry, and earthy, and they provide a sense of depth and complexity to a fragrance. These notes are typically used in the base or heart of a fragrance, giving it lasting power and grounding other more volatile top notes. Common woody notes include: 1. Sandalwood - Creamy, soft, and slightly sweet. 2. Cedarwood - Dry, fresh, and slightly spicy. 3. Vetiver - Earthy, grassy, and slightly smoky. 4. Patchouli - Earthy, sweet, and a bit musky. 5. Oud (Agarwood) - Deep, resinous, and complex with a hint of sweetness.
Hey man! Can you help me find a fragrance that I had a decant of? It wasnt named but its a designer frag. The opening is this fresh, and like an expensive shower gel/shaving foam. Very luxurious and not sharp. But very projecting. The dry down is the vanilla. Not like vanilla mixed with tobaco or anything but sweet sexy vanilla, almost like chocolate vanilla. Know any fragrance that represents the frag? Please help me.
Tom Ford vs Versace as a designer Versace is better but when it comes to fragrance Tom Ford I believe takes more time or the perfumer he hired takes more time to outsource the notes and gets quality notes and releases them when they are properly aged. And for me I can tell when I had oud wood the quality was amazing the sandalwood was creamy the oud was more eastern and smelled appealing vs oud noir. I've had oud noir bottle for almost 2 years now and it's just not oud wood. The notes aren't quality to me it's just a bit more funky and I don't like it. The oud in lattafa al oud the oud for greatness clone from lattafa smells appealing but the oud in oud noir does not smell inviting to me so overall it smells ok but if I could go back I would've saved the 70$ I spent on it and brought tom Ford oud wood.
ffs stop comparing them. Tom ford is sophistication in a bottle. this versace oud noir is a spicy david bekham type perfume in a bottle. nothing so magical about it
Tom Ford Oud Wood vs Versace Oud Noir, which one do you think is the best? Like 👍 and share your thoughts on the two in the comments 😊😊🙏🙏
I agree with everything you've said in this video

Oud Wood is nice but Oud Noir has more than twice the longevity on me. It's been a fantastic replacement for discontinued Versace Man.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🙏
oud noir lasts about 3 hours on my skin 😭😭

So you leaning more towards Oud Noir? 😊
@@rottenrebels Yes, currently leaning towards it. Just want to test on my skin again to confirm.
Would love to see you compare Red Tobacco and Triumph of Bacchus, especially for this time of year. Keep up the good work!
Was looking for an affordable version of oud wood and was wondering about oud noir. Thx for the video
Absolutely a good alternative. Actually, a great alternative.

Oud wood definitely. I own it and I love it. One of my favorite fragrances, if not my favorite.
Thanks for sharing, appreciate it! What kind of performance you getting out of Oud Wood?
@@rottenrebels The performance is alright, not too good for the price. I get about 6 hours on my skin and around 7-8 on my clothes. .
This was a good breakdown. I’ve smelled both and liked both but I bought Oud Noir. However, Oud Wood smells very sexy and sophisticated on others. Great video! Thanks for sharing 😊

how do you sell used fragrances?
Blind bought the versace oud noir. First smell i was immediately repulsed. Thought all those reviewers were mistaken.
Fast forward 4 weeks and its my favorite scent in a collection of 20. I just cant get enough of it. So seductive and classy.
what a greay timing for the video . just when i was about to purchase a winter scent the GOAT came up with a video 😊
Gucci intense oud over both. lol I love Oud Wood too, just doesn’t last long enough but overspraying is never not an option.
Intense Oud is a great scent 👌
Love both and have a place for both in my collection. :)
What are your thoughts on the performance of the two?
On my third Versace ..100 ml for 50 to 60 quid ..lasts ...winner...
Versace oud noire is an easy choice for me. Especially considering the price
How do you like thameens carved oud compared to these two?

Oud Noir is Awesome

Oud Wood smells more interesting to me and it lasts longer on my skin than Oud Noir. But I do like both.
Thanks for sharing! Appreciate it 😊
Thameen carved oud. Trust me.
Gucci intense oud beats them both…just saying
Gucci Intense oud is 🔥
carved oud… 😉
OUD NOIR IS A FUCKING LEGEND !!!! IT NEEDS TO STAY FOREVER
I take that as a vote for Oud Noir then 😉 What are your thoughts on the performance of it?
For me, Oud Wood is the more mature, sophisticated older brother and Oud Noir is the fun-loving younger brother.
Can these two be layered?
Yes
I have both the Versage is better
Thanks for sharing 😊
How so?
Tom Ford over everything
Crafted oud has entered the chat...

Swy oud

Oud wood and it's not even close. Versace.??? LMAO 🤣
Performance might lack but Oud wood scent is unmatched. No clones get close and even Thameen isn’t as good. Rotten said himself Creamiest & Smoothest.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🙏🙏 A vote for Oud wood then 😊
