    If you guys have any questions about those rvs, feel free to contact me. I'm the parts manager at a large dealership and we are a forest river dealer. The fridge alone, is 1900.00 my cost. The ac u its go for about 800 a piece. Love the content.

    That fridge looked like a residential fridge and after you found the inverter, I'm sure it is. That washer/dyer set is very expensive because they are designed for the small space of an RV. There are a lot of salvage parts in that rig. I think you made a great deal on it, even with the truck tire blowout and fuel you purchased. You should invest in a tire minder TPMS to alert you prior to a blowout and make sure you put a TPMS on the tires of any trailer you are hauling.

    • @donhiebert3750
      @donhiebert3750 3 года назад +1

      Good ideas there. A TPMS on any tire, whether it's a trailer or on a Class A can save lives and reduce property damage. I'm not sure whether a catastrophic sidewall failure will be prevented though.

    • @1982MCI
      @1982MCI 3 года назад +1

      That truck should already have a monitoring system on it. But just because you have it doesn’t mean people pay attention to them which was obviously the case here. That tire blow out was caused from driving highway speeds at low pressure and it got hot and blew out! They do not blow out like that by running over nails and such
      But hey, at least the truck matches the rv now

    Got to admire their exuberant enthusiasm, no matter how bad a piece of trash is as long as even one tire holds air;..."looking good so far".....

    Just what you can see on the outside is a score: alloy wheels, good tires, axles, auto jacks, windows, thats thousands of value. Super score! Everything on the inside makes it even better. RV appliances and powered vents have a lot of value. Then scrap the frame when you are done.

    The Niko brothers are the most ambitious and hardest working guys on RUclips! Between the aircon's, the hydraulics, tires/wheels, electrics etc, that you won't need on a motorhome you can make enough money off of that 5th wheel to pay for the repair of the burned up one.

    I was surprised by another motorhome. But evaluating the cost of all the original equipment and supplies needed for an RV at Camping World, it is much more than the $ 375.00 invested. The refrigerator that works with gas, battery or electricity costs about $ 1,500.00. I solved with a traditional house $ 400.00. So it was a good decision for you.👍

    You got an amazing deal !! You guys have balls to buy and go get ,I admire that , I've been restoring cars and trucks for 50 yrs now. I bought my first motorhome for a backyard camper as the body frame wood was rotted , The town wasn't so happy so tried to sell for 1,200 and no takers so I parted it out and we clear 4,000.
    I used a sawsall and cut her up after selling everything. I used contractor bags and made sure under the weight limit and ended up cutting have of her up and out to the trash ( we are allowed 10 bags because of commercial Recycled all the steel and aluminum ,.then someone wanted the rest so I know what you guys are against and appreciate people who work as hard as you do and earn an honest living, great vids too ,thx from Ont Canada

    The black/grey tanks probably won’t fit the motorhome, there’s so many variations of sizes to fit the allowed space. But there’s definitely a million other parts that are usable in the motorhome! (Okay, maybe thousands)! LOL

  • @seekersofrhythm
    @seekersofrhythm 3 года назад

    You got at least $4500 if you part them out. Dont forget if you remove everything from the chassis you could sell it separately or make it into a trailer. The leveling system alone is worth $2000 on ebay you should collect every peice of hardware from switches to cupboards and drawer handles. I would take out any window that is in good condition and build yourselves an inventory of spares. If you can take out all the wiring harness and switchboards. My estimate is conservative because the chassis with the braking wheels and tyres could be a good sell if there is no structural damage and given it carried a damaged lob sided mobile home it's a fair bet that it's fine. What a great and intelligent bid well done and stay safe J.

Hot water tank, hydraulic system, both a/c's on top, all the electronics/controls, pumps, tanks etc... there's lot of money left. Plus like alot of people say you could do a fifth wheel trailer with the frame. Great Buy.

Plus take the frame and make a nice trailer , that itself will sell for good money. Glad you guys got the energy and health to do this. This is a nice way to make a good business. I would look up the the total package of windows. Door is a nice 250. You will learn a lot about what you have there. So, good luck. and stay safe! Once you get all the good stuff out you can strip it down to the chassis add on some flooring and sell the trailer to someone who cuts lawns for a living. LOL it's got to be a good heavy duty chassis that alone is going to be worth a couple Grand

    Hey Guys...Nice job on the Cedar Creek Fifth Wheel....Not sure if you know this or not....but...Cedar Creek is one of Forest River's higher end products...the unit you have there is around 80 to 110k new!! You may want to look at maybe salvaging what you can and look into reparing the unit as i think once it's all said and done..you may be able to flip it for 20 or so K profit in the end!! Parts would be readily available to repair the unit as it is a fairly late model which plays into your hand!! In the end it certainly is your call..course the damage to the truck going to get it also has to be factored in too unfortunately!! Which ever way you decide to go...best of luck in your venture....doesn't hurt when you get it for the price of a weekend out with family)) Take care..Rick

    All of that stuff that you pointed out, is very expensive to purchase new. The question is whether or not the individual parts were damaged in the accident that put the camper in the condition that it's in. The nice thing is, the parts that you pointed out even if half of them are usable. You are a long way towards fixing anyone other camper. And the camper is only three years old, so the parts are only 3 years old. Not new, but they should be usable.

    As Gifted As You'al Are, The Bent Frame On The Crash RV Just Does Not Appear To Make It Worth & Peace In Restoring. To Take The Cabinets From It & Dash Board To Make The Smoke'n Fire RV Makes Common Cents To Me. But What Do I Know! LOL! You Have A Very Interesting Operation & Then Some! Safe Restoring & Travels, Always, Tommy :-)
