Great bike racks. I just finished a similar project made of wood. Just an idea for safety: If you flip the hooks upside down they will not unhook accidentally if you or the kids bang into the bike. Gravity will keep them in place, not release them.
You can still make one for your ebike, use a thicker hanger or a rod, or maybe use an aluminum as your pedal hook, then make sure the bracket is sturdy enough to hold a 55lbs load. Just explore and goodluck!
Good job! If you wrap it with white or any other colored electrical tape instead of black-it’ll never get sticky. (Black elc tape gets sticky after a while)
