Do you think these will also help Combat sport athletes as well (for me Boxing & Traditional MartialArts)? I ask because I notice when I practice my foot work drills, stances, kicks and squats I can't go as deep nor pivot as quickly. I told my shins might be tight since my I have an easier time doing calf stretches.
My right ankle is extremely tight, x-rays can't find anything. And my feet are flat. Might try these twice a day every day, I would love for my ankles to be more mobile and stronger.
I am also flat footed, have suffered from plantar fasciitis and ruptured my Achilles in the past. Orthotics and yoga alleviated that. I currently going to physical therapy for runner’s knee. Aside from running hills, most of my pain comes from a lack of mobility in my ankles, hips and IT band. Although I about 80 percent, I feel a lot more fluid in my movements from doing mobility stretches.
Great video man! I have a question tho on leg strength. Can I still gain leg strength by just only doing single leg squats? I see single leg squats on basically all of your lower body and explosive workout videos.
Maybe this falls more under ankle durability but as a former high school and college basketball player I can't tell you how many times I've sprained my ankles due to the lateral nature of basketball particularly on defense. I've seen you cover knees over toes guy stuff before maybe you could give this ankle series of his a look and do a video on it. In particular the exercise with the band wrapped around the foot is one of the best I've ever tried, I've seen multiple physical therapists over the years and that one exercise feels like it has done more for my dodgy ankles than all the single leg calf raises and mini trampoline jumps I was prescribed ever. Love the mini slant board idea also thanks for all the great content. ruclips.net/video/Ub7ESxp_hZE/видео.html
