- Well, after over a year of waiting, I finally got the rifle case that I wanted!
The Savior Equipment Specialist LRP Rifle Case!
This thing is pretty slick for a heavy rifle like my PRS build. My current bag for the last year was their American Classic. It did the job well enough, but there are a few things that were bugging me. I don't like the shoulder straps very much and the rifle is kinda loose inside. It gets it to the range and back, but I was really wanting something better for what I am doing.
This Specialist LRP has more purpose built sections. I can lock my rifle in place much better with the variety of strap points provided. The shoulder straps are much more like a quality backpack, so it is not as loose while on my back.
The extra pockets are very large, plenty of space for the small things that I want to take to the range and keep with my rifle when going from stage to stage at a match.
Of course, I got this after the last match of the season, so I will get to tinker and set this up a little more before the next match. I will get it dialed in how I like.
I think I am going to add some velcro hook pouches into the large outer pocket so I can move things around as I want and keep things from sliding around. The 2 that come with it are great, but not available separately at this time. I already asked, lol. Maybe some day!! They are pretty neat. I'd buy several more for mags, small tools, cleaning stuff, etc. I will find some Amazon specials for the time being.

Finally!!! After over a year of waiting for this to come back in stock, I finally got the email on July 2nd. Got it ordered that day and here I get my stuff transferred to the new Specialist LRP rifle case.
This is pretty excellent so far. I need to a little more find tuning. Once I settle on my rifle position, I'll cut the extra off the hook and loop straps to lock it in place without having those long tails.
Plus, I want to get a few more velcro bottom bags to keep things together and organized. I'll store those in that large outside pocket. I have a few more ideas to come with this.

I really have liked all my Savior gear. Hence my recommendation to ya the other month. This will still need a little tweaking. Lookikg for some velcro pouches to store small things in the big outer pockets, then I should be good for a while. I say that, but I will buy another bag before too long. I just can't help myself 😂🤣

@@ChadKelly7 have you seen the savior mini ammo bags? There not too bad they have come with plenty of label tags and are held by Velcro. I actually use em for loose 9mm at the range. Holds nearly 300 rounds
@jknewb6276 Yeah, I was looking at those. If they had a velcro hook base, they would work for what I want to do. But looks like only a loop patch to stick labels on them. So, cool pouch, but won't work for what I need on this bag.
I keep all my ammo in trays, they feed into my loader better that way. I just keep several boxes in an ammo can and grab them when I head to the range. I have a few other similar bags, so I like the idea.
Knowing me, I will end up getting some of those some day just to complete my Savior collection 😂🤣 I have so many bags, I can't let those feel left out!!
I will likely get some Vertex pouches and I found a few on Amazon that will work. Just gotta decide on the dimensions I need. Thinking 1 for mags, 1 for cleaning supplies, 1 for small, loose items I keep like tape measure, barrel cooler, rags. Still planning that out in my head. It will be sweet when complete!!

@viejo2a It is pretty well thought out. I have liked all the Savior products I have picked up. Think I have over a dozen now 🤣 Just waiting for my brand ambassador email!! 😂
I still have a little tweaking to do. Gonna make a few test trips to the range, if I like how the rifle is positioned, then I will trim off the excess on the wraps and clean up that excess material.
Also, looking for velcro backed pouches to use in the large outer pocket. I will make little pouches to contain small items so they don't fly around. The included pouches are not available separately, so I will get some Vertex and Amazon specials to try out.

@dalepogue5799 Thank you, Dale! I will make some personalized adjustments to it. Make it even better than it is now!! I have some ideas that I hope will work well. In my head, it will be really cool when finished. I will show off the final form when complete in the next weeks. Gotta source some velcro pouches. I think I found some good ones from Vertex and some Amazon specials that should work for what I have in mind.

@radicallymessy Thank you! I am liking the new one. Still setting up the small items and figuring out where I want exyrs pouches to be, but the function is much better. The backpack style straps are huge improvement. And the rifle compartment keeps it from sliding around. Very happy with this one!

@michaeldunn150 Hey, Michael!! Thank you. I think it may be a bit heavier. More sturdy/solid, so not as much flex and wobble. Especially with my 20 pound rifle 🤣 Mine was a bit much for the old case.
Not a bad idea! My dad was eyeing it. He came down and hung out while I filmed this, so he was checking it out while I was finishing moving my small items over off camera.
But, I like that idea. I do need to get the time to do a giveaway stream!! I have a pile of stuff I want to give away. But no time to sit still and do another stream 🤣 I need to slow down sometime.

Do you think that carry handle would fit around a large frame ar with a 56mm scope? Hell, I don't think I'd even care that much, if they made one in a Miami tigerstripe I'd be all over it

Depends on the length more than anything.
The scope scabbard is 20.75 inches long, 2 wide and 7 tall. But, the straps have a good bit of tail, so you can probably get them around an AR.
I could try it on my AR15 this weekend. I don't have a 10 frame to test. My 15 has a Razor 1-10, so much smaller optic though.
But, I got it to fit over this PRS rifle scope. Vortex Razor 6-36 with my scope cam on it. Maxed out the length available with the cam, so I am pretty sure it could work!
Only colors black, Grey, OD green and Dark FDE, though. Wanted a black multicam to match my other bags, but had to settle for black on this one. Can't win them all 🤣

So far, I like this. My rifle stays put and the backpack straps are way better!
More fine tuning to do, but off to a good start.
