This is no doubt the best interpretation of the song. You nailed the arpeggios without it feeling rushed, amazing work! :)
Thank you soo much!! 🥰
The first time I saw the movie when I was a little kid, and I knew how to play the piano a little bit, I thought that this piece was recorded with two people. One person couldn't play that much.
But it can be played. It's a tremendous performance.
👏
Thanks for sharing your story :) Playing it does feel like you need 4 hands at times :D
Una sola parola: Capolavoro !
@@giulioferro8550 Grazie!
@@SeverinBrast Ringrazio Voi di aver potuto ascoltare UN GENIO !
I like this song very much, the sound you play is full of emotion and cleanliness, you are the best I have ever seen
Wow, thank you so much for your kind words!! Glad you liked my playing :)
You are so young, can i know where you are from ? Germany?
@@richterlin Yes, exactly. Where are you watching from?
@@SeverinBrast
I'm from Taiwan, thank you for playing this song perfectly, I'm used to listening to it every day, it calms my mind
Just discovered this cover while I'm listening to old music for nostalgia. You get a solid 5 out of 5 from me
Awww thank you! ❤ When did you first get to know this piece?
If you don't mind me asking :)
@@SeverinBrast from the movie itself. can never forget that scene with the storm and the piano 'waltzing' around
@@SeverinBrast The legend of 1900 bofffff
Really clean and witty cover. I'm so impressed! Thank you!!
wait, are you 15 years old?! you must be a prodigy. I hope you grow up to be a great pianist.
Thank you so much!
Bravo dai, non male
Grazie mille!
amazing!! cant believe you did interpret it by yourself, with great extraordinary fluency !!!!i only saw two person version.
For those who don't know:
The original audio that you heard is unplayable, you'll need 3 hands and 2 piano to play it.
Great work and nice playing btw :)
Nearly Perfect! :) I know you, as an artist, see slight differences between your rendition and the film's soundtrack, but damn... that's really close to perfection! :) Well done sir!
Cheers, Sev
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comment, it's true :) Is there anything else from the soundtrack you like to listen to?
@@SeverinBrast Sorry for the delayed response Severin, but I just saw your reply. Anything else I like to listen to? Yes! Absolutely! :) I basically love all of the songs from this film, but that's not very decisive, so...
One of my favorite songs from the movie is, or I should say "are", "The Crave", because there are definitely two distinctly different versions in the movie. When the Jelly Roll Morton character is playing it, it's so staccato and precise, but when 1900 plays the same song, he muddles the chords with his left hand and foot, ever so slightly and makes it "dirtier" somehow :) Both renditions are great, but different.
"Playing Love" is amazing in the film, but not on the soundtrack so much though - two completely different songs, one a solo, one orchestral. Watching it and listening to it in the film, within the context of why he's playing it and who is inspiring him, makes it so much better, in so many ways.
"1900's Madness (1 & 2)" - Amazing! Can't go wrong with either, or both, of them.
And, I must admit, I have a soft spot in my heart, even though I'm not Italian, for "Tarantella in 3rd Class" (I grew up in a very Italian neighborhood and have many Italian friends). Much like "Playing Love", it's better in the film, with the set, the characters and the build-up - Great stuff!
Basically Severin, watching the movie and listening to its songs is way more rewarding than just listening to the soundtrack, as I'm sure you'd agree if you've seen it :) Well, thanks for replying and I hope I gave you some good ideas on maybe something to record and post!
Cheers and Thank You,
Sev
PS - Been checking out your other posts and really enjoying them!
Oh wow, thank you for this in depth answer! I definitely agree with "The Crave", I've actually started this piece several times, but somehow never got around to finishing it. Getting proper sheet music for it can be a challenge in itself. Also because, as you mentioned, the arrangement varies quite a bit. In the 1900 Version, there is this distinctive "rolling bass", if you know what I mean, it adds a lot to the piece in my opinion. Will definitely have to finish it some time soon.
The "Tarantella 3rd Class" is great fun for sure, they really nailed the atmosphere in the scene. Sadly the arrangements for two hands only can't capture the feeling well enough.
I want to thank you again for your interesting insights and taking the time to answer me!
You can definitely expect some other tunes from the soundtrack on here in the future :)
Cheers,
Severin
I get some Bill Evans vibes at times in this lovely piece. 😊
BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
THAAAAANKKK YOUUUUUUUUU :D
Magic !!
Thanks!! ✨
From this wonderful movie, I specially love this waltz by Tommasi and loved more your rendition of it! Very nicely played ❤️ from where did you find it's sheet music?
Thanks a lot, Raghu! This waltz is one of my favourite pieces of all time!
It's difficult to find the correct sheet music, but I found a download link in the comments of this video: ruclips.net/video/XbI2TEWzLTo/видео.html
Since I don't know the name of the transcriber, I would rather not share the direct download link, I hope that's okay (:
@@SeverinBrast well thank you so much for this Severin! Indeed this waltz is so mesmerizing, hope to hear more like this from you :D
I enjoyed listening to your performance. It's so beautiful.
Thank you so muchh!
Beautifully played, the beginning is so soothing, i love it. Also your background picture choice is very nice :)
Aww, glad you liked it! ❤
AMAZING !! How can the brain work both hands simultaneously across so many different notes!
I have no idea haha, glad you liked it tho!
-Brain
i love your humor
i was thinking the same thing... when i try playing songs, i can only really do it when i'm playing left hand slow and right hand fast, and its much easier when i press keys on both sides at the same time
you seem to be able to play both quickly at once at random intervals. it's... revelating
that's the one favorite version
Aww, thank you!
Oh my fucking god😮😮😮😮😮😮 this pianist is really amazing!!!
Thankssss man! Much appreciated :D
Nicely played!
Thank you, Steve!
Sehr schön! 😊👏🏼

A bewitching waltz ! I didn’t know it. Thanks for sharing. And what a virtuosity. Well done
@@mrvian35 Thanks man! Tho it has some views on RUclips, I'd still say it's underrated. It's one of my all time favourites and I'm very glad you liked my rendition! 😊

有り難う! 😁
I think I’m the 69th view;)
Watched it twice already
Is it possible to get music for this piece? Literally every one I’ve found has been in the wrong key or dumbed down in some way…
where can i get the sheet music?
Azam!
Sheets maybe?
You did an excellent job
Thank you so much! ❤ This is the most accurate transcription I could find, there's no official sheet music available: kupdf.net/download/ennio-morricone-magic-waltz-pdf_58baa2aee12e89134eadd37b_pdf

Maravilloso ,
Muchas Gracias :)
I would have to say that this arrangement is too clean and needs some dirt on it. It's jazz after all!
What the hell!? Wieso bin ich nicht Abonnent??
Wenn du bis heute Abend 0:00 Uhr abonnierst, erzähl ich's keinem ;)
