@@4KWALK Yeah, I might have worded that too strongly. My wife and I like to go down and stay the Fountainebleau. I love that hotel and the staff. We've always had a good experience. But we stay away from the Miracle Mile. We go to Lauderdale or other places for evening entertainment.

I used to drive a cab in the Bronx NY. The Miami Beach vibe seems to resemble my old taxi routes. Except for the palm trees. To many guns and rap sheets walking around Miami Beach now! Being a surviving native New Yorker? I'm just keeping it real!!!!

Secondly, to conflate criminality based solely upon one's residence, without knowing an iota about them, is the height of prejudice: pre-judgement. Fifth Avenue in New York city, borders its Central Park, in the heart of Manhattan. You can't any more "inner city" than that. Would you consider its residents "criminal types" as well?

Wow what a change! When I moved to Miami Beach in 1990, the last of the old, retired Jewish New Yorkers were vacating those old Art Deco hotels on Ocean Dr. as they got refurbished and brought back to life. Back then you could easily find a parking spot right on Ocean Dr. And, soon thereafter, the night clubs started to get more popular w/ celebrities like Madonna and Naomi Campbell.

I was at Hollywood, Florida Hollywood beach on for 6 days and 5 nights. Last week on Thursday and got back home on Tuesday but, never got the chance. To see miami beach but, next year on spring break I will definitely surely go.
