They could go with the system they used for clubhouse games. Make it so the demo can connect to the full game. That way you dont have to buy the game twice. i love nintendo land! but it should stay on the wii u because the wii u deserves some exclusive games on it. (i still play it to this day with my fam :) + wii party u)
Well, there's a few games that could work, like Donkey Kong's Crash Course and Octopus Dance. The problem is that many of the games in Nintendo Land required use of both the GamePad screen and the TV screen.
Just have a dongle thing that you would plug into and hdmi port that takes information from the switch and displays it on the tv. Or have a separate “console” that would cost like 20 dollars that handles the 4 onscreen players and communicates with the undocked switch. I have another idea that is way too complicated to write out so I’ll probably link a spreadsheet that gives a visual as to what I mean. I haven’t made it yet so when I do make it I’ll link it and this and the previous sentence will no longer be here.
Lets make a bundle game happen. I present to you the idea called: "mii and my adventures!" Basically the games put all together on this thing are: miitopia, miitomo, streetpass games, a party game like mario party, (like how they do on almost every Nintendo game system with miis.) And of course Nintendo land!
Tbh, what if they just made an expansion for each game and put them on the e-shop individually? Kinda like what they did with the mini games found in Kirby triple deluxe and planet Robobot?
Another cool idea I have is allowing for your smartphone to be used as a gamepad-like second screen that you would pair to your switch and use that way. The game would come with a Joy-Con grip that holds your smartphone so you can hold both at the same time, similarly to how Wii Play came with a Wii Remote in the box.
I'd rather prefer the two switches option. One to replicate the game pad and one for the TV. Also I've been watching a Nintendo Land let's play by The Runaway Guys.
*Nintendo confirms switch port of Nintendo Land* Nintendo Land: wooohoo, Hey! I’m getting a Switch port! Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival: Hey, I’m getting mine next! Nintendo Land: Hey, I doubt it!
I love games with Miis and for the past year I’ve been asking for a Miitopia sequel. If that isn’t gonna happen, then Nintendo Land on Switch would still be awesome.
Yeah... except we still have to FREAKING PAY FOR ONLINE! Then it’ll last for 1 month, 3 months, or 1 year before it expires, then we have to PAY AGAIN!
Yeah, it wouldn't work. Just like ZombiU on PS4/Xbox One/PC (Zombi) or The Wonderful 101 Remastered. Compared to the original versions, these "remasters" play way worse because they don't have a second screen. And it would be the same for games like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD if they ever come to the Switch: they would be inferior versions. I think folks at Gamexplain just can't accept that the Wii U, while flawed, was unique, and games that used its capabilities correctly, will never be replicated with the same success ever again. They did the same with Pikmin 3 Deluxe review. "Ehhh, having the map on the Gamepad at all times sucked, thank God I can now press a button to stop playing and see the map". " Ehhh, using the Wiimote pointer was fine, but using the Joycons is just as good". No. Just... No. Pikmin 3 played better on Wii U in a lot of ways (obviously Deluxe beat it on some others). When the Wii U was the only Nintendo home console, you guys were wetting your pants whenever they did something cool with the system. Now that it's old news, you shit on the console and praise the new one, even if some of the ported games play objectively worse. I'll be very clear: Nintendo Land should never come to the Switch because there is no way to successfully replicate the original experience on the Switch. Simple as that. Sure, they can make a watered down version of Nintendo Land that plays worse and doesn't give the same quality experience. And you would say in your review that everything is fine and claim that Nintendo Land Deluxe is the best version of the game. But that's neither good or desirable. It sucks that the Wii U was a failure and many people didn't get to experience some awesome and unique experiences like Nintendo Land, ZombiU, Affordable Space Adventures, StarFox Zero (on co-op the game is a blast), Xenoblade Chronicles X, both Zelda remasters and some more... But it is what it is. The Switch can't run those games at their full potential. They would need to be butchered and cut some features and slap some in inconvinient ways. That's not how it should be. Not everything needs to be in the Switch.
Yep that’s why Splatoon 2 worked, instead of porting the original game Nintendo made a sequel built around the Switch in mind. Otherwise super jumping and Inkstrikes wouldn’t work without a second screen.
@@link8042 Splatoon 2's Superjumps "work", but they work worse than in the original Splatoon. Also, not having the map displayed at all times makes the overall tactical experience worse.
@@SpanishSebas You’re right but how else would they work around it? The map is always going to be superior on the gamepad. If I recall correctly before Breath of the Wild was announced for the Switch, it was originally going to have the map on the Wii U gamepad. I think they changed it because they didn’t want the Wii U version to be different from the Switch version.

You know, people are wanting Tomodachi Life and Nintendo Land to be on the switch. I say, what if they make a sequel to both, THAT COMBINES THE GAMES! Like, what if you can take care of your miis while having a fun time in party games related to nintendo topics! They could even call it Nintendo Life! Idk, this sounds good to me...
Not a bad idea. I also hope that they make a new Mii Sports game that takes place in Wuhu Island and let's us explore the island freely and hang out with our Mii characters
I believe your ideas for the competitive attractions would ruin those minigames, and put the players who are against the others at a major disadvantage. I also don't think these minigames would be nearly as fun without a second screen.
This has gone too far! Stop grave robbing the Wii U, if you want more NintendoLand, ask for a new game that takes advantage of Switch features. A NintendoLand port would take a lot of work.
I feel without the dual screen functionality of the Wii U, most of these games just wouldn't have the same charm or challenge. For instance, Yoshi's Fruit Cart has you comparing the TV that has all the actual game elements you need to avoid or collect, while the gamepad is where you draw your path, but there's nothing on it. You have to compare the background details between screens to help you draw a path through the course. If everything was on the same screen, there would barely be any challenge, and even if you did something like temporarily show the game elements before they disappear, it just wouldn't be the same game at that point. Metroid Blast is another example that really needs the gamepad to shine. You could argue that the gunship is a similar enough role to the ground fighters that they could all just use the same screen. However, the gunship is more than that, it also serves as a sort of scout for the other players. It's not easy to find enemies or objectives on the ground, so the gunship's bird's eye view can help the other players out. This is precisely why it needs to be on a separate screen, to encourage communication and teamwork between players. If everyone shared the same screen, grounded players could easily screen peak to find their objectives, and there'd be a lot less communication, and therefore fun going on.
I think it would be best if you could hook up a phone or tablet and use that as the second screen. You don't really need a separate console since the switch can just stream the visuals just like how the wii u worked.
I don’t want Nintendo Land to get ported because then it shows that Nintendo will port every major game to their next console when the last one failed miserably. Let people who stuck with the Wii U for all these years have at least one game that the Switch can’t have
@S C Wii U party isn’t a very good game and if Nintendo ports Nintendo land, then that means that I affectively wasted a crap ton of money on a Wii U and my games on that system because a better version of those game would come out years later. I want the Wii U to have at least one game that switch owners can’t play so that the people who bought the Wii U don’t feel like they wasted money on every single purchase for the system.
@S C Imagine you bought a $350 game console and every single good game that you owned got ported to a better console with more content and you can play it on the go. You are lucky that you didn’t have to have that so maybe Wii U owners should have at least ONE game that is exclusive to the Wii U and that is good.
*@GameXplain* this is so wrong, is a simple way to do it, *JUST connect a phone through an app to the switch via Bluetooth* which will be use as the wiiU gamepad screen*
To be honest, my go-to idea is to have a regular or OLED model Switch act as the TV screen, and the Joycons would act as the Wii remotes, and a Switch Lite would be the Gamepad.
If you want to show that, I plan on making a Nintendo Console combining the software of GameCube, Wii, Wii U, DS family and The Switch Family, to use Switch software, you can dock your own switch to a dock on the console and you can access the screen from the other menus but you need to update the Switch to a version where it will work on, The DS family, the Wii U Gamepad and The Switch Lite will form as one team in some games and four people using a GameCube Controller, a Wii Remote (with Nunchuck), a Wii U Pro controller, a Nintendo Switch Joy Con (pair) and a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will form as up to four players on the TV as everything will be a total of 9 players or 10 if you have the Nintendo switch in Handheld mode or 11 if it’s in Table Top mode and the Switch Lite can Sync up to the Switch and if all handhelds start up a Software that supports all the Separate handhelds will be available as one player on each handheld and make wireless GameCube controllers and bring back the Wii Shop Channel, if you want to do them on your GameCube Console or Wii, perform a system update on them and we’ll make downloadable software on GameCube.
I remember hearing this somewhere, but forgot where. On the Oculus Quest and Rift, there is a game called Acron. It's a local party game(or online if you really want to), where the people download an app on their phones and are able to connect it to the headset using a code. To play, the vr user is a tree, that has to stop squirrels from taking nuts to their base. The tree also has projectiles that they can use to help them. The phone users work together to try and take the nuts back to their base. What it Nintendo did something similar where you were able to buy Nintendo Land on your Switch, then download a free app to go with it. For Co-Op and Competitive modes, maybe the phone screen could act as the Wii U gamepad, and the switch screen act as the tv? Nintendo would also have to let you connect either the joy-cons or pro controller (for games that allow it) to your phone via Bluetooth. this honestly isn't a bad idea.
What if Nintendo had you use the Nintendo Switch Online App? Your tv or friend gives you a code to join a room, or a QR code pops up on the tv for you to scan. Once scanned your phone works as the Wii U game pad cameras while you control your character through the joy cons. A bit of a stretch but an idea
As awesome as Nintendo land was they really don’t need to port this over at all. They should rather make a spiritual successor to this or maybe even a direct sequel. I’m sick of ports to be completely honest
Something I really want Nintendo to do is allow phones and tablets to connect via Bluetooth as a “second screen.” It would be perfect for games like this as well as Mario Maker 2 to allow for the nuance of touch screen control. You would lose the motion controls, sure, but for most of the games, that wouldn’t matter. Hell, even if it just gave you a screen without touch controls, you could still use the Joy Cons and control your character like that.
One mode that you have forgotten is the competitive Metroid battle mode. This was where three Samus would take on one gunship. That was my favourite mode!
If this were to be ported, I think that they would do the same thing as they did for Pac-Man VS on Namco Museum for Switch: Play with 2 Switches, then connect them together and put one in the dock. Single-player games and multiplayer co-op games can be adapted to work with a single Switch.
I loved playing this with my brother on his Wii U. If it gets ported then I would finally be able to play the singleplayer games. And if it's possible to choose which skin you want on the Switch version instead of the skins depending on which player you are, then I'd absolutely main the Waluigi skin whenever I play as a Luigi in Luigi's Ghost Mansion.
I have the perfect idea for all the multiplayer attractions... An included extra screen or more switch consoles. Using the local play connectivity, one could be using the TV view, while the other simulates a game pad by playing in handheld mode! If you don’t want to fork over the cash, Nintendo could make a unique game pad like controller that works exclusively with Nintendo Land!
I can think of 3 options for Nintendo Land for Switch: 1. Use 2 Switches. 2. Have an Phone/Tablet app that connects to the Switch like PS4's PlayLink. 3. The rumoured Switch Pro could have the wireless technology from the Wii U built-in but sort of in reverse where the Switch tablet would act as the transmitter and the dock as the receiver.
I love Nintendo Land, but instead of a port, why not promote and discuss... A potential sequel~ I think that would be the better idea. Take the games that do carry over well to the Switch, but then make new games based on those properties with the Switch in mind.
I actually had an idea thats kinda similar to the 2 switches idea but a little less silly, maybe if they sold the game with a physical thing to attach to your switch dock, not a new console or anything just a device that will replicate nintendo land onto the tv screen. the switch can be used as the gamepad whilst a small device runs the rest on the TV, kind of a silly idea and I'm no engineer or anything but I think that'd be kind of cool
What if they streamed the game pad perspective to a mobile device? Or sold the game with a peripheral that had an additional screen? (Though I don’t really see them doing that.)
The whole idea behind nintendoland was how the game pass would interact with the system. They can also do something similar with the Switch, but with completely different games!
I think the only way you could feasably do it would be through a companion app, just like jackbox. Since the gameplay isn't berry complex it can be reasonably Brough over to a touchscreen. And it would give the devs more freedom because they can assume that everyone can have their own screen secret to them. Nintendo could make a lot of fun minigames this way. They could even add online to try to get streamers involved. Unfortunately I don't know if Nintendo will do this because Nintendo Land doesn't have the largest fanbase (I don't know anyone IRL with a WII U who I didn't help convince buy it)
To be honest, Nintendo Land is one of the reasons I am holding onto my Wii U. It makes for such a great party game.

Imagine Nintendo Land with events and tourneys like in ultimate. Playing the games online against others to try to make it to the end of a bracket or working with others under strange conditions would be amazing.
These are really creative ideas, but as the original was made with the Wii U controls and functions in mind, why not do the same with the Switch in mind in a sequel?
or you know we could just get a sequel that’s all about the switch
Aren't we already getting a sequel, only in real life not on a game system?
@@francoperalta5986 that’s a theme park in japan, Nintendo World. Not a game, and Japan exclusive
Hey everyone i hope you stay safe in this pandemic, Im so close to 1370 subs all i ask for is a sub, it's so difficult to grow! 🥺💖 Kwdd
@@Byzantia oh shut up stop begging for subs

I just want the miis to be seen again in Nintendo consoles
I remember seeing one idea where people use their phones as controllers, but I think that the person with the gamepad should be the only one using their phone in the team games.
They could go with the system they used for clubhouse games. Make it so the demo can connect to the full game. That way you dont have to buy the game twice. It would also solve the multiple screens problem. And the demo could contain 2 single player games and 1 multiplayer game (one that doesnt need another screen to work proporly such as pikmin, zelda, or metroid.
I would love to see more levels for all the games. And maybe even a couple new games based off of an ip not yet represented (splattoon, fire emblem, earthbound, pokemon, ice climber, or kirby perhaps)
Splatoon could be a simplistic version of splattoon with only a few weapon choices and it could be a battle royal. (1-4 players)
Fire emblem could be a 1vs 4 turn based game where the four play as indavidual heros, and the solo player controls their own 4 person army. (2-5 players)
Earthbound could be a simplistic turn based combat game that has players vs waves of enemies in classic rpg style. (1-4 players)
Pokemon could be a game like mario chase but 4 people play as pokemon (pikachu, bulbasaur, squirtle, and charmander) and the solo player plays as a pokemon trainer who must catch the pokemon. The pokemon could use their elemental powers to make obsticals that the trainer has to get around (the powers can only be used a limited amount of times) (2-5 players)
Ice climber could be a simple jumping game where you race to the top or a timed mode where whoever makes it the highest wins (1-4 players).
Kirby could be a top down game where 2-4 players try to eat the most food in a set time limit
I need this again, this game was so good and really hope they port it!
My friend NijiMarii (Riley) would be delighted to have this happen. Me & her were HUGE fans of Monita.
Getting an absolute perfect on Octopus Dance is still one of my greatest achievements
Sane
Same
An idea would be to make a compatible app on mobile phone. That connects with the game and use that as the gamepad. Problem solved
i love nintendo land! but it should stay on the wii u because the wii u deserves some exclusive games on it. (i still play it to this day with my fam :) + wii party u)
Well, there's a few games that could work, like Donkey Kong's Crash Course and Octopus Dance. The problem is that many of the games in Nintendo Land required use of both the GamePad screen and the TV screen.
I literally played this with my friends last night and were in high school. This is why I love Nintendo
Nice video, Chris! Again, welcome to the GameXplain team!
It also needs a tomodachi life port like seriously come on Nintendo.
I haven’t made it yet so when I do make it I’ll link it and this and the previous sentence will no longer be here.
why doesn’t anyone talk about wii party u? it’s such an amazing and addicting game for family
Many people missed out on the Wii U period but it had some games that were gems
Lets make a bundle game happen. I present to you the idea called: "mii and my adventures!" Basically the games put all together on this thing are: miitopia, miitomo, streetpass games, a party game like mario party, (like how they do on almost every Nintendo game system with miis.) And of course Nintendo land!
Don't forget about Tomodachi Life
Tbh, what if they just made an expansion for each game and put them on the e-shop individually? Kinda like what they did with the mini games found in Kirby triple deluxe and planet Robobot?
Another cool idea I have is allowing for your smartphone to be used as a gamepad-like second screen that you would pair to your switch and use that way. The game would come with a Joy-Con grip that holds your smartphone so you can hold both at the same time, similarly to how Wii Play came with a Wii Remote in the box.
I'd rather prefer the two switches option. One to replicate the game pad and one for the TV. Also I've been watching a Nintendo Land let's play by The Runaway Guys.
Thanks for the Birthday Present, GameXplain!
*Nintendo confirms switch port of Nintendo Land*
Nintendo Land: wooohoo, Hey! I’m getting a Switch port!
Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival: Hey, I’m getting mine next!
Nintendo Land: Hey, I doubt it!
Octopus Dance + Joycon stick drift = hell
I mean, that’d be cool.
But what would be even cooler is a sequel.
I love games with Miis and for the past year I’ve been asking for a Miitopia sequel. If that isn’t gonna happen, then Nintendo Land on Switch would still be awesome.
Liking the new little editing details after the introduction of the new folks! Very professional!
If they bring it back, they need to just make the whole thing online.
Yeah... except we still have to FREAKING PAY FOR ONLINE! Then it’ll last for 1 month, 3 months, or 1 year before it expires, then we have to PAY AGAIN!
@@raemonn15 Well yeah, that is what a membership is.
Honestly, I think it would be better with a sequel instead of a port.
Right in Gamexplain's face XD. Instead of claiming for ports, we should speak out for sequels or new games 🤝.

Me: DONT WORRY I CAN FIX THAT
You know, people are wanting Tomodachi Life and Nintendo Land to be on the switch. I say, what if they make a sequel to both, THAT COMBINES THE GAMES! Like, what if you can take care of your miis while having a fun time in party games related to nintendo topics! They could even call it Nintendo Life! Idk, this sounds good to me...
Okay, let's be real here there is no way Nintendo Land will ever be on a Nintendo console. It's called an XBox exclusive for a reason smh.
FR, there’s no way it could be on switch, Nintendo Land was made for the Wii U, it’s not like Nintendo could just, bring it over to Switch..
Another solution to the competitive games could be using the phone👍🏻. Like, an app for those certain games, an extension to it🙌🏻
This has gone too far!
Bring mii games back
Hell yeah it does! Mario Chase is the best minigame ever!
Ah yes this game its epic (;
It's a better collection of games than 1-2-Switch. It deserves to be on here.
Seriously you are ridiculous right now.
*@GameXplain* this is so wrong, is a simple way to do it, *JUST connect a phone through an app to the switch via Bluetooth* which will be use as the wiiU gamepad screen*
A cool workaround is to do something in the style of the jackbox party packs. Have one player join via a phone who’ll have the gamepad screen.
To be honest, my go-to idea is to have a regular or OLED model Switch act as the TV screen, and the Joycons would act as the Wii remotes, and a Switch Lite would be the Gamepad.
Bro, there are too many adjustments! At that point, it would be so different that they might as well make a sequel rather than a port on the Switch
One problem it has f-zero in it and Nintendo likes to pretend F-zero does not exists
I still play Nintendo Land with my sibling and it’s still so fun. It deserves a port or sequel!
It annoys me that Nintendo seems to have stopped caring about Miis outside of Smash
I'd be into Nintendo Land coming back in some way whether a port or a sequel. It was super fun
I don't see how Yoshi's game would ever work without both screens. It's a fundamental part of it.
Another solution could be using a phone/tablet as the game pad, it’s definitely doable using the switch online app to pair it to the switch.
I love this game so much on my Wii U(Sidenote Wii sports could really work on the switch also)
They could just have an app that communicates with it so the second screen could just be your phone.
How about just making a Nintendoland 2?
I have the perfect idea for all the multiplayer attractions...
An included extra screen or more switch consoles. Using the local play connectivity, one could be using the TV view, while the other simulates a game pad by playing in handheld mode! If you don’t want to fork over the cash, Nintendo could make a unique game pad like controller that works exclusively with Nintendo Land!
I can think of 3 options for Nintendo Land for Switch:
A potential sequel~
I think that would be the better idea.
Unfortunately I don't know if Nintendo will do this because Nintendo Land doesn't have the largest fanbase (I don't know anyone IRL with a WII U who I didn't help convince buy it)
I think a cool idea is Nintendo Land would come with a special pad. Giving the ability to play all the games as usual.
The 2 switches sounds the best to me
watching this video alone gave me so many flashbacks of me and my cosons playing this for hours laughing and giggling. Dam the good old days
I’ve been wanting a sequel ever since the switch came out
