I was born at 24 weeks i weighed 1lb 8ozs. Mild CP,Scoliosis,almost completely blind,and blood disorder. Sebastian just popped up under my suggested videos. I'm so thankful to see parents who don't give up on those of us who need extra help. He's growing so quickly and is loving all the activities.

I’ve watched your videos for a couple of years, never knowing your age. I’m quite surprised actually. Not because of how truly lovely and young you look, but honestly I’ve never seen a young couple have it so together. I feel like young adults in their 20’s and 30’s are still kids. Watching this video and the love you have for Sebastian is amazing. I'm sorry he was born with health issues but it's like I tell my daughter God knew what He was doing. He placed this young man in your lives for a reason! My grandson is high functioning ASD with severe ADHD & Anziety plus he has celiac and has to be on a gluten free diet. We are learning day to day how to best be there for him and the foods he will or can eat. Just keep letting Sebastian feel the love you have for him. God Bless you and your family
My daughter has mid range autism and lives in a group home for special needs adults I'm high functioning autistic. I'm able to live by myself and buy my own groceries. My sister is my representative and helps with my bills, rent and utilities.

My youngest decided she was ready 6 weeks early, there was nothing wrong with me, aside from gestational diabetes. She was growing fairly fast from that. However her fingernails had also grown fast and she was able to puncture the sac (how the doctor explained) and my water just broke out of the blue. Alone with just my five year old, I drove to the er. Ling story short.. she had three holes in her heart still not filled in, and her lungs were still very under developed. She was 6lbs 6oz 6weeks early. I was terrified. They would not confirm if she could survive. But she was so big it gave her the extra help needed to heal. Her holes closed clean in her heart, her lungs became strong, after 6 weeks she came home. She just turned 22 in April. This was horrifying at the time for me; but it is a proud moment that she over came so much. I still can not imagine how you guys have found the strength to stay so strong! It was so draining on me and my husband, and my daughters struggle seems so minimal in comparison, you truly are inspirations for all new parents. Hug Sebastian for us.
Coming here to watch his birth story. I’ve been praying so hard for him that he heals and is able to come home.

I love watching your videos with Sebastian! Its nice to see videos that have similar issues I deal with or have dealt with in the past. My daughter was born at 29 weeks and was on oxygen and has a g tube as well. Sebastian seems to be making such great progress! You are doing great!!

Hello, my name is Mileni, and listening to you, I am referring to almost the same story that I had during my pregnancy with my Stephanie. At four months I wanted to have a 3 D ultrasound and my insurance did not cover it, so I decided to pay a Private Dr who specialized in high risk. That day I saw that they were taking a long time to follow. Mr. came in and in a sweet way, told me that my baby had a heart deformation called falot tetrology. Short story, two months at 27 weeks I got complicated and through an emergency cesarean section, Stefy was born with only 2 pounds. It is not easy to go through all this but thank God she is already 14 years old and in her ninth year. I am immensely happy to see them. You with your son healthy and fighting strongly together. Many blessings and I send you a big hug from Brooklyn.

I know what you mean. I felt the same way right before they rushed me and my son to the OR for emergency surgery to get him out. I was having contractions at home so we went to the hospital and sure enough my water broke while laying on the bed. The nurse thought I was lying 🙄 my son's heartbeat was below 40 then we lost his heartbeat. I was SO afraid. They were ripping wires and tubes off me because she needed to get him out in less than 60 seconds. I just remember them rushing me on a table in the OR shoving a mask on my face to put me out. The next thing I remember is waking up in a very tiny hospital room with my son in my husbands arms. I was so drugged up but I felt a sense of peace because I knew he was okay and absolutely healthy. I just found Sebastian and already love watching you guys. You are so strong and he's a warrior ❤️❤️

Hi Stephanie! I really appreciate you sharing your story. My husband and I didn't know our daughter had CDLS until she was born. I was 23 and my husband was 25. Nicki doesn't have any heart issues. She has a lot of gastrointestinal issues. She's got a lot of learning disabilities and behavior problems. She was very small and her Apgar score was extremely low. She couldn't suck, swallow and breathe.
She was in the hospital for the first 2 months, and sent home on a Apena monitor. Nicki had a lot of testing and saw several genetic Doctors. She was born in Johns Hopkins in Baltimore Md. We got the CDLS diagnosis when she was 31/2 weeks.

My son was born with Tetralogy of the Fallot as well and also has Subclavian Steal Syndrome. He had failure to thrive by his 5th birthday so had to have it corrected at Shands teaching hospital here in Florida.The Subclavian defect remains. He does not have the artery that goes from his heart to his left arm. At 3 days old I took him to our church and had them all pray for him. The doctors said that the stats show , for those who had the particular surgery that my son had, most patience only lived to their 30's. My son is now 47. He is mentally challenged but functions well. He also had an acute Kyphosis show up around the age of puberty, 13. This is a severe curvature of the thoracic area. His pedi doc was not very good as every time he went to see him he would fuss at him to SIT UP STRAIGHT! He couldn't sit up straight as his vertebras were all fusing together and no one knew that. The tetralogy caused him to have pneumonia every time we turned around. He only weighed 24 pounds on his 5th Birthday in the hospital. He did extremely well with his surgery but oh how hard was it to see all the tubes going into such a little fellow. I know this had to be hard for you as well. I just thought I would share a tiny bit of my journey as I just came across your You Tube page. God bless you and your family. I hope he does well.

Honestly, Stephanie, and this has nothing at all to do with how you love your son at all.
When you received such a terrible prenatal disgnosis, did you consider terminating?
Of course, everyone has the right to decide what is best for her family, but most with horrible prenatal diagnoses are counselled.

Not me, but a younger woman in my family received prenatal diagnosis of a lethal trisomy.
It was very, very painful and not easy decision, but she and her husband made the decision to terminate.
She was 24-ish weeks, and she was induced to deliver early, pre-viability, and the fétus was very, very deformed. It would have been a horrible life.
If I recall correctly, due to insurance issues, Stephanie didn’t receive the routine 20 wk ultrasound scan. She got the scan at 30 weeks and that’s when they suspected a severe heart issue. I don’t think Sebastian was diagnosed with cdls until after birth.
Abortions are not legal at 30 wks, so wouldn’t have been an option at all..
@@KL92105 abortion at 30 weeks was legal, and still is where I live.
Labour is induced early, and the already-dying fetus does not survive.
This is NOT a procedure that anyone would want, and MDs and other health care professionals have never heard of a third trimester abortion being performed for anything other than tragically-deformed/ genetic illness, or to save the life of the mother.
My husband’s niece was 24 weeks and fetus was diagnosed via chorionic villi biopsy.
It was horrible. A nightmare.
This pregnancy was planned and wanted.
I was with her in OR, even though this was in 2020, so Covid precautions were raging.
I’m a health care professional so I was allowed.
No one should go through that alone.
She laboured for 10 hours and the entire event is still heartbreaking.
I get that it’s a different circumstance than Sebastian, and I had hope to hear Stephanie’s views.
Trisomy 18 is incompatible with life.
CdLS children, as we see in Sebastian, are far from what our niece and her husband endured.
The fetus was Trisomy 18, and there was no way she would have survived.
She was very effected

You can have an abortion with Sebastian's sindrom, even if it's after 30 week. I think it was their decision to have this child.
