Dr. McBride here...There is a skin disorder that is often mistaken for ringworm...It's called Granuloma annulare...
It has several sub-categories where the rings look a bit different, some even rashy...If the meds they gave you don't work go see a dermatologist... :)

I was misdiagnosed with ringworm and it ended up being PITYRIASIS ROSEA
My body was covered in what looked like ringworm and I had cold symptoms as well. I noticed a lot of people are getting this lately and there's no treatment you just gotta tough it out! this other youtuber olivia rouyre talked about having pityriasis and being misdiagnosed with full body ringworm too. Sucks.
Yeah my mom’s got that and she thought it was ringworm at first, but her doctor told her otherwise
A while ago I had a big circle on my leg that we thought was ringworm... turns out it wasnt and I probably wasted a month or two doing ringworm treatments. With the right medication it went away super quickly. Its always good to get a second opinion!
This! I have GA on my thighs and stomach. The biggest is the size of my palm and the smallest is about the size of a quarter. It started with one spot and has become 9 after several years. My dermatologist did testing by taking some of the skin from the circles.
You can try to fade the circles with steroid shots, but typically it’s just something you have to deal with. There is no official treatment.
He doesn’t know if I have ringworm or fungus. Ringworm is s fungal infection I’m dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂

It’s not contagious. It will go away in a couple months or less and possibly come back every so often.

Makeup Loving Mommy yassss!!!! I’ve had it several times before so too determined that it’s not a ringworm. Several spots appear from time to tome after a flu or severe cold. It’s just caused by Morgan’s being sick for too long I believe.
I have eczema and I get those spots all the time.
Omg, thank you so much for commenting this. I've had weird spots show up, and my doctor told me ringworm. The creams they gave me for it never made them go away. Now it's months later and I have the spots showing up again. Through a bunch of online research, I haven't ever seen Pityriasis rosea come up. So yeah, I really appreciate your comment.

I had a few spots on my body once the doctor thought it was ringworm like, but then he got his book out that he uses to diagnose anything you can think of and there was a skin section and it was somwthing different, but he was glad he had that book to diagnose what I had. But all doctors should have this book. It was a huge book. This guy could have looked it up.

@@Potatpotatopotat Don't worry, it won't cause a clot. In the hospital They use ICD's which means Intermittent compression devices which periodically squeeze your legs in order to prevent blood clots. How do I know this? I've been in nursing school for the past 2 years.
Faith VanVleet I’m not arguing with you. Legs pumps are regulated to “massage” clots. They’re not the same as an arm cuff that can be pumped too high in too close of a time period which is why in school it’s recommended you use another arm to retake a blood pressure if you didn’t get an accurate reading. But what do I know I’ve only been taking care of people for years. 🤷🏽♀️

Well, didn't she say she was already being treated and this was a second opinion? If I understood that correctly (I lack common sense, so totally could've misunderstood), that would mean she was already being treated for ringworm but it wasn't working. In that case, allergies or an inflammatory response could be possible. I ain't a doctor, so I don't actually know, but I've talked myself into it making sense.

I’ve literally known 1 person in my whole 23 years of life that’s had ringworm. And he got it from a gym mat (like the ones they use for wrestling)
aliengang I’m from Canada and I had it on and off for years and so did friends and family. I was told by my doctor that it’s caused from heat (ie. summer) causing bacteria to worsen or whatever and he told me to shower multiple times a day to decrease it but idk if I trust him completely lol.

1. the blood pressure cuff was in the wrong place lmfaoo and 2. im pretty sure you're not suppose to test your blood pressure on the same arm/in the same spot cause it can cause blood clots...

No that is not true at all you can get blood pressure taken on the same arm in the same spot. I go to dialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours and my blood pressure gets checked every 30 minutes during the treatment. For those of you who don't know what dialysis is it's a treatment that you have to do to stay alive when your kidneys fail.
