Hi Imo! My family and I will be visiting Cardiff in spring next year and we would like to know what is the quickest/safest route (on foot) to get from Cardiff Central to Cardiff Castle? ❤❤❤
Google maps says it's 11 minutes walk. Come out of the front (North) entrance of Central Station. Take the turning to the right of the block with Pret a Manger in. Walk down past Tescos, Boots and Greggs to get onto Wood street. You'll see a statue of a lady there. Turn right and walk along Wood street, passing the Price of Wales - a big Wetherspoons pub on your right. Turn left when you reach the T junction onto St Mary St. That is pedestrianised, and there's a clock in a glass case with model monkeys in it there. Walk all the way down St Mary street as far as you can go. It actually changes its name to High Street at some point. You'll be able to see the Castle from the end of that road, so it will be obvious then. Have a lovely time!
