I'm an archeology student and do reconstructions of classical archetecture. I've been learning Blender via RUclips for over a year now and recently stumbled upon your channel. It is an absoloute goldmine and helped me so much. Especially this video is greatly appreciated since I was working on a procedural marble material for all the different marble kinds and all the other tutorials weren't really what I was looking for. So thank you very much, I'm a big fan

Finally someone that has really understand color ramp and map range nodes, lot of RUclipsrs piss me off when they invent theories and differences about them prolly just for talking

Absolutely fantastic tutorial and an enormous help for anyone wanting to model marble textured buildings etc in Blender.

I've always loved tutorials that don't just show what to do but also take time to explain why things work the way they do. Thank you for taking time to do this

Thanks for this wonderful tutorial! As a small remark, note that the finegrain_influence parameter has a "dead zone" between 0 and 0.333 (=1 - 1/1.5) where nothing changes to the texture because "To Min" becomes bigger than 1 and the input factor of the ensuing color mix node is clamped to 1.

Your videos are so far over my head since I've only used Blender a few times and my ADD has become crippling in recent years, but, I love watching them, even though I'm not actively trying to learn the program at the moment. You really do incredible work. There's no other Blender channel I look forward to seeing new content from more. Thank you for sharing.

This is another supreme video from one of the best Blender channels out there, in my opinion. I will need to watch this another few times to let it sink in, but I also just bought the material from Blendermarket - thank you for making that available at such a generous price.

Total beginer here, I followed the whole tutorial for practice and ended up buying the Material but I would love to see an in depth video on how to actualy use it to get the most realistic results when copying new marble types.

      @@hbitproject Hi ! I'll say exactly the same than @Arismarcati here x)
I followed the tutorial until the end and ended up buying your asset since its way more complete (and for 5 buck i can allow my self to buy it ^^ ).
But yes a good tutorial on how to use it and how to imitate different type of stones would greatly help.
Amazing job however !! I looked up different channel thinking "shit they are good" until finding yours, but now i think the palm goes toward you good sir :)

Sir, let's say we create a colonnade using instances. In this case, all the columns have exactly the same texture pattern. I see this all the time in all sorts of video reconstructions of ancient architecture. What is the solution to this problem? If there is an easy way to change the pattern depending on the location of the column, why aren't reconstructionists using it?

    • @hbitproject
      @hbitproject  6 месяцев назад +1

Hello Sir, of course there is a way around that. Just check the texturing process in my reconstruction of the temple of Castor and Pollux 👍

This tutorial is not very beginner friendly.
This starts off easy to follow but by the end it's impossible to keep track of everything that you are doing.
This shader looks amazing and I really wanted to follow along but I just could not keep up.
The speed started ramping up at around the secondary veins and it was harder to follow you at that point but it went absolutely off the wall mid way through subsurface scattering.
I understand that pros might be able to follow but this is best for advanced intermediate to advanced
I hope your other tutorials are easier to follow.
