The older I get the more and more I relate to this beautiful scene. Reminiscence of happier times and lost loves. Not to mention the music score and the transformation from the dreary gray background to the beautiful sunny days just makes this whole scene stunning.
Lads, as others have said down here in the comments before. And I love this movie (even for its massive historical inaccuracies) but this in my opinion is one of the most relatable scenes as i get older. I remember watching this back in 2006ish a year after it came out and I was in middle school so I saw this scene and was like “huh, cool whatever” And now I’m like “dang, godfrey remembers his first love. A beautiful maiden from the local village when they were 18… and now he’s 36” damn that makes me sad. If you’re reading this that means more than likely you have an I eye for art and came here at your own accord. You rock.
I like this scene so much. It reminds us that people of the past were just like us. Had we been subjected to that time we would've thought and felt exactly like them. They had feelings, people they cared about and they most certainly loved like us.

0:44 Professor Remus Lupin was a Hospitaller Knight before joining Hogwarts teaching force.
My favorite scene in this movie by far.
you my friend, have an artists eye.
This was my favorite scene too, and the song, I love it.
Brings back many good memories which I don’t want to remember because it leads to sorrow. What a beautiful movie is this..
What a fvcking view. I would live the rest of my life there and die a happy man.
Kingdom of heaven has the most beautifull songs in it
