Following his late wife's wish of a funeral pyre, Kratos tests his son if he is ready for the journey they must take. One unsuccessful hunt later we return home only to be immediately visited by a strange man claiming to have found someone he's been searching for. Fearing this man knows his past and threatens his son, Kratos has no choice but to defend his home even if it means pulling back the memories of his past. After a battle that shook the lands themselves, Kratos in fear has no choice but to pursue the journey he deemed his son not ready for.
