I really don't get why the black rims became so polular. It just looks odd and ugly. Compare the black rims next to an SEC with stunnig chrome and it becomes clear why the black just doesn't work. It is fine to black out some parts of a car and in this beautiful c126 SEC the black rims are overkill....looks like a car driving around with 4 spare tyres without hubcaps. Still the best and most beautiful merc ever. Perfect design.

The new 2021 S Class looks like a major disappoint in comparison to the older more boxy, square gens. As a flagship car not only for the brand but for the industry it should be grand, instead of looking like their budget models.
Styling has definitely taken a nosedive at Mercedes since the era of these 560s. 😢 Please bring back Bruno Sacco's students to design the new Mercs too.

A lot of money in modifications, but why not replace the huge bulky door handles with more appropriate 126 body door handles?
Rims + tires, lower springs and exhaust mainly. Not horribly expensive..
