He's right...I watched him play at Stanford and at Michigan and he just manhandles people, throwing them around like rag dolls. Nice pickup

The order of position importance on offense:
    1) QB
    2) Center
Center is the QB of the OL. Many teams don't have good OL's for this reason, they don't value center. Who was the most important player on the Eagles the past three seasons, not named Jalen Hurts? Jason Kelce. Go ask Peyton Manning about how important Jeff Saturday was?
Michigan had the best OL in college last year. Nugent was their Center. No guarantees, but more likely than not he'll be good.

Doesn't have the ideal body for an NFL center, but this dude can play. Showed he could compete at both Stanford and then at Michigan. Low risk, high reward pickup.

Not a fan of all the position switching that goes on when players reach the pros. I understand that it's necessary in many cases, but it also often fails. Love that Nugent has played the position at a high level since high school & has been in great programs. Enough of just throwing some random lineman into the position! Hope he succeeds!

I think Nudgent and Puni are starting by week 6! At C and RG. (Just saying!!! We have to try something different on the line!)
It couldn't hurt us anymore than the other options.

Thanks Larry. If this guy can get the line calls, uses leverage, can withstand bull rushes and can block in the run zone he should start.

I'm always skeptical about UDFAs. Why wasn't he drafted? Hope he can get coached up and make the roster. We need the depth.

C’s don’t really get drafted unless their off the charts.

Because his athletic testing wasn't great and he's short. He's stout, but isn't very quick on his feet. I don't think he could play any position other than center. Maybe guard in a pinch, but probably not.

His family pro game background, his 42 games at big time colleges, his finalist for best college lineman. Dude is a CENTER only. Fine by me. He makes the team. With 9er coaching & some real time game experience, he may be the starter who can muscle with D-Line nose guards The others can fight to play guard.

Is it just me, or is it an advantage to get below the DL's pads??
Maybe 6'1 is a good thing in the middle?? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Right, keeps the DL's hands down so they can't try to block the pass.

Larry, do you think you could elaborate on some of these players' weaknesses when speaking about them? Give us a more detailed, fair report. Yes, you mention time and again about his size, but I've seen concerns about his quickness, his ability to mirror speed rushers, difficulty when defenders cross him, the ability to get to the 2nd level when run blocking, etc. Those are the things you should be debunking.
This is how you step up the quality of your show: deeper dives into perceived weaknesses, and why you think they are inaccurate.

We’ll see how effective he is in TC, going one on one with Hargrave…I hope he plays well…I’m a Stanford fan, saw Nugent at Stanford and liked what I saw…NFL grown man strength and nastiness is a step above NCAA DT strength and nastiness….I hope he’s not intimidated
