Amazing! I’m watching over and over, I do a lot of weddings and I’m crazy about anamorphics I´m thinking about getting the moment 1.33x anamorphic adapter to begin with, did you use a motorized follow focus like tilta ?
Thank You ! Few shots are a bit curved even in the center because I didn't tighten enough the projection scope on the taking lens, so it turned just a little on its own axe, that's why. But in general, there are some optical deformations on the edges yes, it depends on the lens (if it's x1.33, x1.5 or x2 for example, modern or vintage built) but yeah, all anamorphic lenses have their own specificities and look ! And when you shoot anamorphic, you want those kind of imperfections because you get a way more organic image :)
This is so damn beautiful. (The wedding, but also the frames!). Some of the nicest stuff I've seen out of the AIVASCOPE. You got me googling how much a used Sony A7SIII is : ). Did you go handheld for this?
@@thebirdiesprod Wow. I think I've watched it 3 times since yesterday. You use FF? The whole thing is fantastic, but the shots of the couple outside are sublime. Is that lit?
Aivascope is on my shopping list. I haven't got it yet is because sometimes I think that the anamorphic was designed to be played in an anamorphic medium (big wide cinema screens). These days where most of the media is being watched on smartphones, a video shot in 4:3 will be more useful when showcased on platforms like Instagram. For example, this couple maybe will publish this video on Instagram to share it with the world, only to be seen like a tiny stretched video on the top part of the phone screen. A 4:3 video will look a lot bigger. Some music videos that are shot in 4:3 will look larger on a phone: ruclips.net/video/doLMt10ytHY/видео.html Zack Snyder's Justice League in 4:3 also look better than the 16:9 version. Idk, maybe is just me.
My wedding videos aren't meant to be viewed on a smartphone with a small screen and a crappy sound, and even less on Instagram. Of course, I can't force my clients to watch it the right way, but they hire me for this kind of style (edit, framing...). This couple loves cinema so this style fits their desire :) I have a deep love for scope images but yeah each project have different needs. Offering an anamorphic option just add another way to tell a story. And imo Snyder's JL would have been better in scope :)

Thanks! No follow focus, only my hands :)
Bro this is just amazing... may i ask you how many lenses you uses other than pentax 50mm?
In this video, only the 50mm :)
Beautiful footages. What was your taking lens?
Thanks ! Pentax SMC 50mm f1.4 :)
It has a very slight fish eye effect? I mean the straight lines are curved. Does all anamorphic lenses are like this? Beautiful imagery otherwise

Hi mate! Thank you for the kind comment! The A7s3 is a true powerful workhorse :) All handheld yes!
@@thebirdiesprod woah, no way! It looks like an arri tv commercial type job. All one person or a team if you don’t mind me asking?
@@PeteMajarich The slog3 10bits signal is very good, no need of raw, or prores raw imo! Shot all by myself, alone :)

@@PeteMajarich Yep FF and all natural light !
