Awesome stuff mate! like you i started my trail running journey kind of recently, doing the 27 kosci last year as well, hated it so much im doing the 50 this year. Wish you all the best in your preperation and your run!. Keen to see where your journey takes you!
@ I finished which was a win, had a small surgery two weeks ago so it was looking like I wasn’t going to be able to take part, but I got the all clear from my gp on Wednesday. I think the two weeks in bed took its toll though as something on my knee went on the way up dead horse gap. From there it was a long slow waddle to the finish. Felt good not get over the line though. How did your day go for you?
Oh wow yeah not an ideal situation. Well done for overcoming it and getting it done. As for me - everything went pretty well. Didn’t get the time I wanted (not even close 😅) but didn’t have any big issues or anything. We 50k runners got the best of the weather too!
@@TheAdventurousBen Oh thursday was a great wasnt it haha, a few friends had done either the 100 or the miler and they looked like drowned rats coming over the finish. happy you had an enjoyable race mate! looking forward to your next one 💪
Nice to see you adapt and be flexible with your training. If I was you, I wouldn't bother posting anything about weight, it has almost no bearing to your training or these videos.
@TheAdventurousBen Yeah man, weight always fluctuates unless you're really focusing on it, which almost nobody is. Training like you are is much more important and you're doing really well. Looking forward to seeing your improvement.

Thanks mate. I typed a response to this 2 weeks ago and apparently didn’t hit ‘send’ - how did you go yesterday?

30km without cramps sounds like a big win. Bodes well for race day. I've never tried Tailwind. Is it mostly sugary carbs?
Yes on the sugary carbs. And thanks I’m happy with the progress!

@@joshg6et98 thanks. You’re right it’s one of those things that seems important until you realise that it just isn’t 🤷♂️
