This was my daughter's first professional ballet. It was perfect since she already knew the story and knew exactly what was happening.

The grasshoppers were so cute and full of personality. 😁 They're casting students for the next show now!

🤔 I saw this at The Aronoff in Cincinnati.. it was my first live ballet. 👍🏽👍🏽. But I’m curious as to why all the posters/ advertisements shows a white Dorothy, while the girl I saw was Asian ??

Hi Jamel! Glad you have gone to your first live ballet! This production of The Wizard of Oz has dancers from each city's ballet company dancing the roles, even though the production itself is touring. Typically, each production can have two to three casts of dancers for each run of a show. This is to give many opportunities to dancers and also allows them a chance to rest. I hope this helps answer your question. During the run of a show, there may be at least a couple of Dorothys.

The music created by Matthew Pierce is not available online yet. If you'd like to learn more about the composer here is a video created about him: ruclips.net/video/Xo656BsJ32A/видео.html
