This has to be a work of Fiction. Where did this happen? I have never heard anything about this before. I have never read anything in print about it. I was 40 years old in 1988. I'm not totally knowledgeable in regards to the occurrence but there actually is info available on line w a lillte looking. Some details I can tell you however (my numbers might be a bit off) but his took place in B.C at a school for indigenous children where they lived on campus and parents for the most part were home on their reservations away from their kids and parents of the missing were not informed for a ridiculously long time. The number of children missing was in the neighborhood of 14 or so. All of those children that left the school property with the queen for the "picnic" were selected and none of them ever returned to school and in fact was witnessed the queen not being seen after that either. Also many years later (again not exact year but recently) I wanna say 2012 or 14' or 15' if I remember correctly. Also there were either charges or law suits involved with an inquiry by the R.C.M.P against Liz or the crown or whatever in regards to the accusations of the missing childrenfrom decades earlier and a classmate (the last remaining classmate of that years class who had clear memories of that special day the queen visited was scheduled to testify on behalf of the childrens families however he unfortunately passed away coincidentally very close to the date of court. All of this info can be researched including the witness name (with interview) more accurate numbers, dates, info on the school and it's faculty etc.

The narrator leaves out any specific details--town/woods where rescued, how come they didn't all starve to death over 35 years (mushrooms??), what did they use for clothes, etc., etc. I thought it was going to turn into a time-warp story or alien abduction and return type of ending. This has to be a work of Fiction. Where did this happen? I have never heard anything about this before. I have never read anything in print about it. I was 40 years old in 1988. Did this happen outside the USA? Where did she get clothes? Her school clothes would have worn out a long time ago (while living inside a cave for 35 years). How could she see after she came out of the cave? I have toured caves. It is very cold and damp down inside a cave system. When I came out of the caves after the tours were finished, I could not see well in the sunlight. It took a good while for my eyes to readjust to daylight again. On one of the tours we were bent over most of the time. We came out of the cave bent over, cold, and blinded by the sun. Needless to say, we were in pain.

As for the "Queens picnic" yes that is totally true and has much more to the story. I'm not totally knowledgeable in regards to the occurrence but there actually is info available on line w a lillte looking. Some details I can tell you however (my numbers might be a bit off) but his took place in B.C at a school for indigenous children where they lived on campus and parents for the most part were home on their reservations away from their kids and parents of the missing were not informed for a ridiculously long time. The number of children missing was in the neighborhood of 14 or so. All of those children that left the school property with the queen for the "picnic" were selected and none of them ever returned to school and in fact was witnessed the queen not being seen after that either. Also many years later (again not exact year but recently) I wanna say 2012 or 14' or 15' if I remember correctly. Also there were either charges or law suits involved with an inquiry by the R.C.M.P against Liz or the crown or whatever in regards to the accusations of the missing childrenfrom decades earlier and a classmate (the last remaining classmate of that years class who had clear memories of that special day the queen visited was scheduled to testify on behalf of the childrens families however he unfortunately passed away coincidentally very close to the date of court. All of this info can be researched including the witness name (with interview) more accurate numbers, dates, info on the school and it's faculty etc.
