I like your review style; pleasant presentation without sounding like a car salesman. Some thoughts for your consideration: 1. Would like to hear more about its comfort ( you mentioned seats but how does it handle road imperfections? ) 2. Quietness is important to me. Thanks for describing the wind noise. Anything else on noise would help. 3. SUV buyers are always interested in storage, so it would definitely help to see the storage area and any hidden storage or at least hear the cubic feet capacity. 4. You mentioned the motor start/stop feature but would like to know if the driver can disengage it. Thanks for a great video. I'm glad to have found you . Good luck.
Yes you can disable it. There is a dedicated button for the start/stop feature near the shifter. However, it needs to be disengaged EVERY TIME you start the vehicle. Personally, i ABSOLUTELY LOATH this feature on vehicles. But thank god you can disable it.
I just ordered a 2002 EX model with the carbon interior trim kit that Honda sells as an accessory. It replaces all of the interior wood trim and looks super nice. They have other styles as well.
@@FDDFGGSHORTS l have the 1.5 turbo engine no heat at idle and oil dilution. Dealer had seen engine with ice in the crank case while performing an oil change. They have also told me they have replaced engines that failed with oil dilution damage. I have never had problems with the 2.4 liter engine
Nice try. i work in semiconductor as a Process Engineer, we make chips for Automotive, NXP Semiconductor ( a Dutch company). all our orders stopped in spring of 2020. We slowed to a screeching halt as all automotive companies, ya know, THE JUST IN TIME KINGS, stopped ordering chips, because people sat in their homes for a year.. Now we are ramping up and can't make enough, quick enough, a sign things are back to normal. @@Iegend17 Absolutely correct! Tucson is the one people are buying. They redesigned it and made it bigger and addressed many drawbacks of last generation. Its hybrid version is also very enticing. I am a Honda fan but feel very sad that company didn't do any change to its best seller. Atleast they could have improved the infotainment to their latest generation.
Completely have a different take. I’ve been burned on the Rav 4, Honda Civic and Camry refreshes. Just like you I waited and waited and waited for a “new version” and paid dearly on my new leases. The civic had a recall for gas dilution, the Camry had stuttering and the Rav 4 was so uncomfortable for the passengers driving experience. Mechanics of 40+ years said to stick to tried and true models since they’ve already worked out the kinks. This is exactly the reason I’m so happy with this new 2022 I tried. No new bells and whistles? No new problems that early adopters have had to figure out. Call me Boeing but I’d rather have reliability. The next years CRV is rumored to basically be a Hond pilot with 3 rows.
The CR-V is loaded up with panoramic roof, power fold mirrors and etc in other countries. If they brought it over with those features in our market they would have to charge $40,000+ which competes with the Passport and the Pilot. Those are Acura numbers and will make it hard to sell the MDX if we increased the price on the SUV’s. Also, the Tucson is nice but it loses its value quickly. Safety ratings don’t compare to the Honda. I love mine no need to boycott anything
Awesome job. I'm still waiting to receive a 2022 Honda CR-V.
Nothing expecting haha. Same thing sadly
how is it so far? i am waiting for mine too!
@@Nickss77 I have already received all but the LX trim level.
My older CRVs always had horrible road / wind noise...doesn’t seem like the problem is completely solved yet.

Was that growling noise normal?
(When entering the highway turning left?)
Yes it’s normal. Honda engines
The only thing I didn't like was the wind noise as you were talking, very loud!

No 2022 Touring Model? I was thinking about the
Touring Hybrid 2.0, they stopped it for 2022?
No sadly this dealership only has this one. The touring hybrid is on Hondas website.

You just pop the shifter down to s for sport mode?
Yes that’s all :) very easy, no need to hit the brake
Love how they got rid of the wood color on the door panels
Still wood in the exl
Same here dont like the old wood color
there’s different trims depending on what your budget is, this is a “cheaper” model so no wood, still really good cars any trim
I love the wood panel

Oil dilution?
Still has an oil dilution if you drive in cold climate. No heat in cab also.
Cool CRV 2022 ….
2018 is good for me crv

no need to snitch
Does the fuel still get mixed in with the oil on that engine?
I thought 2022 they were going to change to all new model.
Does it have oil dilution problems?
Yup still has oil dilution if you drive in a cold climate.
