They did say that my account was in time out because of too many attempts trying to input my phone# but they couldn't tell me how long it would take until the time-out was lifted. If you are an owner, admin, or have the manager server permission, you can change verification settings in server > moderation. If you are a member, you can trying verifying what you need to join the server (email, phone), or try to DM the owner or admins to give you a role (which will bypass any verification needed).
