  • In 2018, nine years after we filmed the first stone house being built in Vava'u, we went back to see Philip Wheeler and Nunia to see how they are doing. They aspire to a totally sustainable and self sufficient lifestyle. We were amazed by what they had managed to do, and how they had transformed the land into a beautiful garden. In this short film Philip and Nunia reflect on what has changed in nine years, the challenges and benefits of living in a stone house and their plans for the future to bring in income. Their house is called 'Api 'o Hengehenga after the endemic and endangered Tongan Whistler bird that nests on their land.
