Cheap resticking tip: Buy some athletic/kinesiology tape and tape over the repositioned pad. You will need to replace the tape over time, but they come in really huge rolls. Depending on the width of your pad, you'll want a minimum of 2" width of tape.
Do you recommend a particular metatarsal pad? I’d like them for longevity/durability and effectiveness. If hand-washable from time time time, that would be great.
Thank you for the video. Sad that my new food doctor did NOT give me enough information to place the pad NOR the printed info he claimed in mychart to have given me at the appointment. He underestimated my pain - i don't go to the Dr unless absolutely necessary. When this happened 5 years ago, a cortisone shot solved the problem. Now I have to figure out if these pads will really work and spend more money for inserts and/or shoes, which I don't have the time nor patience for while enduring foot pain. I plan to look for another doctor.
I have a question. I went to a podiatrist for this type of foot pain… right foot only. Why didn’t he diagnose this condition for me? He only stated usually a nerve pain issue. The inserts he sold me haven’t helped at all. This, my doing my own research and am here!
I don’t like wearing shoes due to severe hammertoes so instead of placing in a shoe, I stick it to the bottom of my foot. Works well. Barefoot walking isn’t as painful. Good shoe demo! Do you have one for perfect placement on a bare foot 🦶?
What to do for multiple shoes? One wears different pair for each occasion.. work wear.. gym wear.. sneakers.. etc. Buy a pair of these pads for each of those shoes? And If I do not wear insole, then stick directly to the shoe?
I’d love to know where we can buy those particular pads. There are so many that don’t work. Thank you for the video, I’m in Australia so if anyone knows where to buy them please reply.
My 2nd metatarsal has just recently had a drop in the distal end. Feels like my weight is all on the end of it near the toe. My physio just loosened it from under the 3rd metatarsal. If I use the pad do you think it will be temporary, and can I expect the bones to align enough to no longer need the pad?
Metatarsal pads are unique to each individual and their situation. If you’re seeing a Physical Therapist, we recommend connecting with them. Thanks for stopping by!
Good video, thanks. What about longitudinal metatarsal arch pads. Any differences in placing a bit heelward from where metatarsal joints bear weight? Does long side go to outside or inside of foot?

Everyone gets the concept wrong ,,,Thank you for showing the proper way.

The best video I've seen yet! Thanks.
Thank you so much! Brief and to the point, very easy to follow, and a good, uncomplicated strategy for testing the pad placement
Excellent explanation. I like your idea of testing out placement before inserting permanently. Thank you
Absolutely, Nancy!
Thank you - I have thought I had the pad in the proper place and then had to change it.
If you want to re-adhere the pad, once the adhesive is gone, wash them with soap and water. That reactivates the adhesive.
GREAT IDEA. installed with double stick tape before permanently sticking. Thanks
The tape idea is amazing
Thank you! I've been unable to walk for 2 days.... I hope this helps when it calms down!

Hi Marsha! We recommend having a conversation with your podiatrist if you are still having foot pain. Thanks for stopping by!
Well talked through thanks. I have this condition but my problem is that i live in Thailand. Self medication for everything here.
How long after placement does it take to get use to the pad being there or for uncomfortable feeling to go away?
How long did it take for you?

Do I use the met pad for both feet or just for the injured foot?

Thank you sir.
Thousand thanks
Wearing these pads it feels a little odd and uncomfortable but no pain. I rather feel odd and slightly uncomfortable than to be feeling pain
