THIS SONG 2013 "Jam in the van" is what made me look up The Revivalists" and I can never get enough of their raw natural sound. It's so pleasing to my ears. Their melody and version of "To Love Somebody" holds my attention and causes me to daydream about love in it's purest meaning
I stumbled across that version myself a couple of years ago. I heard a lot of covers of The Bee Gees tune, but that is the only one I really loved. I really love their live session off Keep Going off "Men Amongst Mountains". Look it up. Better than the studio version. They played Penns Peak where I live. I had one late class on that day. Then the teacher had us vote to do an assignment instead of class so I was going to go. I woke up that morning with a damn migraine headache. Still pisses me off.

I think the Jam in the van version (and this one also) captures the essence of how I believe Otis would have interpreted the song. In an interview in the '80s the BeeGees said the song had been covered over 200 times. I think it would be much much much more than that now, but The Revivalists' versions are still the best in my eyes.
