delayed this release by two days because i was genuinely too sick to make a thumbnail. also woke up to find the video processed and copystriked to hell so thanks david cage :)
My brain is so NL-pilled that I can't see the word 'hell' in a sentence without immediately thinking WHADDA HELL?!? But seriously man take care of yourself, you've been doing the lord's work keeping us entertained during Egg's absence. You can rest easy for a spell now that he's back soon.
These are the workplace hazards that come with being in proximity to a david cage game. Too much of its psychic radiation can be fatal. Stay safe out there librarian o7
I love these older NL edits on the channel! My man has 10 years of gold in his streamography, so you adding this history section to the library is doing gods work 🙏💯
yeah i see surprisingly low view counts on these series that people hail as "legendary" or "my favorite nl series of all time" so i feel like adding them with chat, filling in the gaps that NL leaves out and cutting them down to a more palatable format helps expose more people to them
@@TheLibraryofLetourneau A lot of the issues I have with these great playthroughs is how hard it is to watch them. NL doesn't (or didn't, I haven't checked in a while) have playlists for them on his channel so it's annoying to find and watch especially when they start getting recommended out of order on the side bar. It's minor but over a dozen plus videos it kinda sucks. There's also a level of "you had to be there," especially in longer games. Thank you for making this though. I know what I'm doing for the next 4 hours.
@@diiizleHe has dozens of playlists but they all seem old and YT doesn’t help either by not letting you sort by name. Though, a search turns up user created playlists, so I’m assuming he doesn’t have one for this series. Still, the chat + missing bits really adds to the whole experience
@@TheLibraryofLetourneauI actually really appreciate them being long, I struggle finding stuff to watch while I work so when you upload one of these and it's 4 - 11 hours long I thank the stars
The fact you could immediately discern what street the kid is drowning in by just the starting letter of the street alone seems like a massive oversight by the Origami killer and by extension the writers. He could've literally just looked up streets starting with R and the specific length and figured that shit out. More over, because the origami killer had to set a realistic travel path for Ethan, he would've KNOWN his kid is somewhere in town or an adjacent town at best. It's not Ethan's fault though, they didn't teach him in architect school how to decipher addresses. They also didn't teach him in dad school that he needs to teach his son how to cross a street without getting run over.
Dude, it just hit me. The fact that David thought that the premise of the game NEEDED to have pouring AND origami is just wild, cause like they would've been disintegrated after 30 minutes
I love seeing petty arguments saved in twitch chat after all this time. At 49:18 someone asks something about a jojo episode and someone replies a few seconds later with "fuck off anime"
Finally finished this masterpiece of an edit. Best part was hands down the fridge moment, I was cryyyying laughing. 2nd best part was nl saying "london" when he had to button mash, gets me every time
I swear you have a direct plugin to my brain. I just finished re-watching both deadly premonition Supercuts and was about to start seeking out all the David Cage + NL videos. Thanks for all your hard work :)
bro there’s no way, i just watched the d4 super cut and commented asking for you to do the david games, little did i know my wishes were already in development, ty legendary librarian !
Literally just watched through the heavy rain playthrough last week and couldn’t be more pogged to do it all again in supercut form. Appreciate the work you do librarian
I love watching heavy rain content in the year of our lord 2023 and realizing that the game genuinely looks toonier than sims 4 in the opening sequence I also love how cage's idea of a ratty depressing house is a two-story flat with a wide flatscreen tv (game was made in an era when flatscreens were out of budget for most low-mid families) and a _fireplace._ Literally just wash the walls and get like one recliner and some art. Maybe there's some in all the cardboard boxes he just didn't unpack
Oh my god. I thought the Detroit part where he converted robots instead of helping Hank was bad, but now I'm at the green door part and I'm visibly upset.
Davis Cage always writes his female characters with little to do except pretend to seduce villains, be victims of sexualized violence, and fall in love with the protagonist for no reason. Ultimately they cast aside their own goals and interests to become a doting mother with no personality. It's vile.
i dont know about bad but you can look up the indigo prophecy, detroit become human and beyond two souls playthroughs as they're all david cage games as well (i havent done cuts of these yet though). you can also watch the deadly premonition supercuts, those are fan favorites and are super jank in gameplay and story telling (even more so than this game)
It was just so audacious of David to think he could pull of this kind of game with THIS voice acting (especially since facial animation really wasn’t there to convey big emotions…)
ah frustration simulator, or, how i learned to stop coding and expect my audience to be blindfolded. how the hell does this piece of shit have a bigger budget than 95% of the games on the market?
the only one im not quite sure about is the indigo prophecy one because there is no chat data for it and ive been trying to get in contact with the guy who has a video with chat on it for permission to use it but i havent gotten a response. might say fuck it if i finish the other david cage games
More proof why old heads want to see NL play more narrative driven games, but he doesn't care for them so forcing himself to play them is really no fun for anyone.
wow, classic, legendary playthru. thank you libraryman, you did it, with your psychology degree and your great glasses

it's like seeing two skeletons of extinct animals fighting preserved by a tar pit. Beautiful in a way
When NL got into that unskippable sex scene -- he starts panicking, trying to get out, and a chatter was like "The game is raping NL lol"
Makes me smile to see that arguments last through the millennia
nl's photo slowly unblurring in as nahmin jaydin described the killer was a brilliant touch, excellent work
Librarian continues to act less as a librarian and more as an archivist and curator of the Museum of Letourneau
NL has been peaking for 10 years holy shit.

Same lmao
The dramatic plot would hit a lot harder if it wasn't completely driven by every single character being stupid and incompetent
I feel like it'd have honestly made for a decent comedy if they'd used sitcom music instead
Ah the pre-2021 NL voice where it sounded like he was still pretending to be American. Cant say I miss it. Ty for the awesome edit Librarian

NL riffing during stressful quick time events will never get old.

You should make a compilation of everytime Ryan talks about Marv from home alone getting shocked so bad he turns into a skeleton

Can we please get a Beyond: two souls cut
eventually for sure

A true classic playthrough.
Perfect timing as always. Was just about to rewatch the Cagemas trilogy again

HOW DOES THE LIBRARIAN JUST KEEP MAKING BANGERS AFTER BANGERS
That whole burglar sequence around 48:00 is the developers barely disguised fetish
its so fucking unnecessary with the final payoff that she's a journalist

Time to retreat into my digital paradise of Librarian cuts
Another absolute classic
Every time I think the game is in its final act there’s at least another hour left
i thought this shit was wrapping up an hour in and it just turned into a fever dream with weird facial animations
Ethan sounds like Vinesauce Joel if he was American
I forgot he even did this. Thank you you glorious man.
No camera NL was so innocent.
That XPlay line was so good because the character genuinely did look like Morgan Webb
i have never seen anyone escape that car in the dump like that before. goddamn 😂

I want him to replay this so we can get constant "As a dad" commentary throughout
Thanks for the edit 🙏 the banter in this playthrough is 👌

David Cage games are peak nl
New season of MST3K looks great
This playthrough was truly something special I love to have it archived thanks librarian
My greatest hope for the future is that Star Wars Eclipse winds up being a certified David Cage Game (tm)

I would put this playthrough on that golden disk nasa shoot into space for aliens to play it on their Blu ray player
Sometimes dead is better had me rolling. Also, never trust anyone who owns a typewriter - Scott was always top of the list.
