The wording on Gardevoir is that the energy comes from the energy zone, so it should work with Cresselia EX

This brings so much more variety for decks. You will never know what your opponent will bring now. A lot of these cards look like they’ll be viable. I can’t wait. Only thing that will suck are the win 5 times in a row events.
Yep I hate them so much even though I did the 5 wins I rather just do like the 50 wins TBH
I like there being a difficulty barrier to emblems in events 🤷♂️ tbh it’s almost too easy at just 5
@ On the same deck that I use sometimes I lose because my starting hand sucked and didn’t get the right cards I need but I got lucky and got my 5 right away
The 5 wins is honestly very easy they should make it like 10 wins with one lose attempt available that will make it much better achievement
And if you lose then build a better deck lol
To make things interesting and fresh, I changed to a different deck each time I won a match for this current 5-win streak event and was luckily still able to complete it. It's honestly not bad as long as you don't stress about it and just fly through the matches win or lose. It's all in the mindset you bring in 😊
Manaphy with a Vaporeon feels cracked
The interesting thing about manaphy is its worded in a way that makes it seem like it doesnt need the benched pokemon to be water type. So you could give water to gible at the start of the game. Or even dragonite. Or druddigon.

If the Giant Cape is real, I'm pretty sure, it will become a staple in many decks. 20 more max HP can help you win so many fights because it helps your pokemon to survive attacks it otherwise couldnt.
Yeah give manaphy that with a blue or potion it just sets up your bench for free
it's also just literally another potion but better (can't double cape on one mon but otherwise crazy). you can run them together and tank for eternity it's gonna be so messed up.

Something interesting about Magnezone is that it can be used in literally any deck type since Magneton generates its own lightning energy. A 1-prize that hits for 110 consecutively for a few turns and has decent bulk isn't a horrible thing to have, and the stage 1 is also alright if you need to chunk for 60 with it, maybe it has use outside its type if we get any new synergies.
A small note about manaphy,
It doesn’t state that you can only put the energy on a water type. It just says “choose 2 benched Pokémon”.
manaphy doesn't mentioned it has to be your benched water pokemon so it is another huge colorless buff for this set
Manaphy is so good
They are adding a ralts and Karlia that take 1 colorless energy so you will be able to ramp a bit with slab in a fighting deck.

Yeah, I feel like mechanically it would make sense if attaching for turn and Gardevoir were different, but the way it's worded means they both likely work with Cresselia

It does release the 29th in Japan, and it could be the 30th depending on your time zone

Manaphy's Oceanic Gift doesn't say the benched Pokemon have to be water type, just says benched pokemon. He can feed colorless as well. Totally busted

Manaphy's pretty cool in that you can ramp any bench pokemon, similar to Dialga but spread to up to 2 bench pokemon.
It's more comparable to moltres
@-insaane- I just mean it doesn't need to ramp a water pokemon.
Porygon -Z will definitely make colorless decks much more meta due to the threat of energy bricking.
dialga + any colorless pokemon from the leaks = a meta deck
As a Pidgeot EX main who sometimes pairs it with Drudd, I'm excited for these new cards. I think Manaphy will be really good too, water decks will be thriving with Misty + Manaphy. Not to mention Cyrus + Staraptor/Arbok/Galvantula.
chatot+fossil+togekiss seems great
just make sure to empty your bench when togekiss is your active, so your opponent can't use sabrina to cancel out the buff
These cards are absolute cracked and meta changing. The low energy costs are insane!!

As far as the Togepi line being psychic, it was a psychic pokemon in all generations prior to fairy typing being introduced so it technically is still canon

They were normal/normal-flying. The TCG removed fairy types in Gen 8 so they're psychic now

Well, I just had a small doubt!
When the new set pack is released, both the current set packs(mythical & Genetic) will still be available right? I've saved quite a few pack points and not used them yet. I wanted to use it to complete my secret mew mission since I'm missing 2 cards. But now that the trade feature will go live, I'll trade those and save these I reckon.
So these present sets will stay, right? At least for sometime after the new update...! A few weeks or probably a month or two maybe, before we start to lose one of the two set packs!

Interesting to note that Togekiss specificaly says next turn, not "next time you use this attack".. Means it's incentivized to stay on and keep attacking. Idk I'm not too hot on this card as some others are..
I wonder if the effect stacks so like it goes 60 -> 120 -> 180 ect, it could be a possibility.

I am gonna use giant cape on manaphy....50 hp pokemons will be a bit safe from now on.
Cyrus is basically just a nerfed Boss’ Orders from the actual TCG. It’s still pretty good in Articuno/Greninja based decks.
Garchomp is a free draw for fossil deck. Omastar, Aerodactyl, Kabutops lez gow

I really hope tools have their own slot, as in you can only have 2 tools but they don’t take up card slots. Cutting trainers or important cards for tools just wouldn’t feel good since the deck is already only 20 cards

Cresselia is going to work with gardevoir cause gardevoir's ability states 'Once during your turn, you may take a ⊙Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to the ⊙Pokémon in the Active Spot. '

One thing I noticed on the manaphy card is that when it says choose 2 of your benched mons, it doesn't specify that it has to be a water mon, so in effective manaphy could be put into a colourless deck..... I just feel that 50hp is too low, 70hp would have been just right

On Staraptor with the 3 energy it's also a stage 2. Both Arbok and Garvantual as stage 1s are expected to be faster. You'll have more time with your Starly on the bench going through its evolution line to get that energy on it. I think this card looks great.
Moltres and infernape goes crazy

Not really imo. You discard ALL fire energy attached to Infernape, so you can't charge it with Moltres and sweep 2-3 turns consecutively. It's probably more suited for an aggro fire deck that doesn't require Moltres' Ramp?

@@just_a_folk95 i mwan like use moltres once and put ur energy on inferanpe and keep hom on standby then use your noltres agaian on your other pokemon like flareon or rapidash and attack with them and once they are down bring your infernape to finosh there last pokemon to secure the win
@@just_a_folk95 Agreed it doesn't feel worth it when zard hits harder and only discards 2, only way I see it getting any use is if rare candy gets revealed in this set
if you look at the togekiss card again you can play cynthia on the first one then play another cynthia on the second so 110 damage into 170 damage even with just 1 cynthia its 110 damage + 120 damage the next turn
I recognize quite a number of these cards as physical cards from older sets. They’ve done that before with bringing it older cards but it’s enough to at least be suspicious
they do this with literally every card in the game 3 diamond rarity and below actually (edit: a few exceptions actually after looking but it's almost all of them)
Rocky helmet drudd and Poliwrath will be fun to see if it can work

Are you sure? I just reread the Gardevoir effect and it reads "...take a PSYCHIC Energy from your Energy Zone...".
So I think it would work with Cresselia's Effect.
the holo card from promo events has not previously been a new card, i think misdrevus makes more sence to be a new card, because the new promos are generally a new option for a prevolution and we'll probably get a mismagius in time-space showdown
These cards bring so many new approaches to the existing meta, its stellar.
7:45 Manaphy does NOT say the chosen pokemon must be a Water Type. So you could run anything that can use the energy.

Sometimes we get alt cards of the same pokemon with slightly different attacks, so maybe eventually we’ll get a different kirlia (just neutral energy) and ralts to pair better for a fighting deck. Or we just get enough Psychic and Fighting mixed to have its own 2 energy deck.
The giant cape would be pretty op in my opinion on Mythical Island golem, you'll be surviving charizard EX's as long as you've used your move.
Doesn't the Porygon slab tech work amazingly now with Garchomp? You can even evolve Porygon and play it, since Garchomp needs only 2 energies
Manaphy-Vaporeon seems like a good combo, given that manaphy gives one water energy to any type including colorless.

I’m more skeptical after the Volkner - there isn’t a discard pile for energy like the mainline game.
But the rest seem interesting. Manaphy could help dragonite too because it didn’t mention ramping specific pokemon.

Interesting niche interaction. If you attack with Togekiss and then your opponent Sabrina's you, retreating back into Togekiss will only allow you to do 60 damage
I think Cresselia Ex ability does with Gardevoir, because according Gardevoir’s ability “You may take a psychic energy from YOUR ENERGY ZONE and attach it to the psychic Pokemon in the active spot”. If this works you can potentially heal 60 hp!

I was just thinking on Weavile EX....depending on what Sneasel does, if u go 2nd against mewtwo EX, u could potentially beat it before it even gets going, course if you're going first, doesn't matter what Sneasel does and you two shot mewtwo EX after a Giovanni

You can heal with gardevoir because it's still take energy from energy zone
You just cant heal if using pokemon or support that move energy around pokemon

@factor747 if it's like the real TCG, you have to flip a coin whenever you try to retreat or attack. If you're trying to retreat and flip tails, your energy is still discarded and you fail to retreat (if you flip heads the Pokémon retreats as normal and is cured of confusion). If you try to attack and flip tails, the attack fails and your Pokémon gets damaged for 20 or 30 (originally it was 20, I think eventually it got changed to 30) and the turn ends. If you flip heads, it attacks as normal.
