Awesome truck aren’t they to be fair . I’ve had this back flipping this weekend and it’s held up brilliant 🤩 Enjoy your new truck and thanks for watching buddy , Stay awesome Chris 🤙🤘🚀👊🔥
Upgrade the chassis before you break it 6s m2c longer pins m2c pin holders and hot glue re inforcement on chassis as chassis very poor if you wanna blast it as arrma Say
Hey Dwight ! , Hope that your well man , Thanks so much for watching . Ah man im made up with this purchase , So much love for the 4s range and these popped up ! I've heard that the v2.5 is a strong truck and its awesome that Arrma has seemed to have listened to us on what to change , this is a rare thing when it comes to Manufacturers . Hope that your well buddy , and the little man is well also . Stay awesome Chris :)
Ah man nice is he happy with his ????? I cant wait to get this out ive always looked in envy when i have seen them out . Thanks for watching , Stay awesome Chris :)
Picked up one of these a few days ago. Haven't had it out yet because it's still minus 32 Celsius here. However, it gives me time on the workbench to get familiar with it. Keep those videos coming, Chris. 👍
When you actually see the Green , its nice . Its like the cool Kawasaki green they had and for us older guys , much easier to spot your truck when its 1/2 a km away lol. Everything's always blue , red or black . Nice to see that new color.
Hey Rob , Yeah its a very nice truck indeed , Nice to see Arrma has listened to us on what to change . Hoping to get this out this weekend for a video . Stay awesome Chris :)
Thanks so much for that really appreciate it. Man the new Outcast looks sweet I’m a massive fan of the previous truck there such an awesome piece of kit . What colour did you get buddy . Stay awesome Chris 🤙🚀👊💪👌
Definitely can handle a beating 🤙🏽 ive owned the first gen and 2 seconds gens and the second one is the best rc ive purchased only downside stock screws are trash and dont get me started on the servo, also motor needs an upgraded fan but beside that its an amazing project
Hey buddy , Yeah for sure they sure do take a hell of a beating to be fair . As you say the Gen 2 is excellent , i will say that i prefer this v2.5 mind the chassis is tougher , servo is better ( Not amazing ) centre diff is 100% a upgrade though and drive shafts are better . as you say there great fun as a project truck as well to add some upgrades . Stay awesome buddy 🤙
Ha ha morning George buddy , yes it sure was man I’m excited about this truck ❤️🚀🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 Hope that you enjoy the videos to come buddy . Stay awesome Chris 🤙🤙🤙🚀
Not jealous at all 😬😂 I look forward to seeing it rip around just behind my 6s😉🫢 we know the 4s systems got plenty of power, and arrma fair play to them have sorted some of the old problems. Should make for a really great basher/racer with added durability 👌
Ha ha ha , Ah man you know im going to give you a go ! Yeah the 4s systems are a very sweet spot between power and weight i think and now with a upgraded ESC with a higher BEC voltage thats gotta be awesome . Cant wait to rip around along side your 6s fingers crossed this 4s truck will put the cat amongst the pigeons ! . Yeah as you say this should make a awesome basher and truggy to race about the ground ! . Stay awesome buddy & Thanks for commenting Chris :)
Ha ha good guess good sir ! Thanks buddy I’m over the moon with this one already 🚀🚀🚀🚀 Thanks so much for commenting and watching 👀, Stay awesome Chris 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Am busy upgrading the hinge pin part ordered m2c 6s pin s and m2c hinge pin holders plus i put hot glue round all plastic now even if pin holder breaks will be fine as pin s longer plus i put 2 small holes in bumper so pins go into those aswell for more strength and hot glue on back side.Staff you need do as they not make them right like most models tbf
@ChriswithaCrc Yeah Loving the rc staff :) I always upgrade weak spots tho before using make it stronger Hot glue gun is gr8 very strong stuff very simple upgrade chassis thicker we're needed hot glue gun is my favourite now in the rc staff
Hiya Chris. Oh yeah that looks epic. I've been really pleased with my Outcast 4s since I sorted out the steering. All the upgrades to these newer versions look well worth it and make a good truck even better. I'm sure that this will end up being your go to basher. Great stuff mate 👍👍👍
Hey there Pete , hope that your well buddy . Oh indeed I adore my outcast 4s and when Arrma announced this variant well it was a no brainer to be honest . I agree the steering is much better on my outcast since the upgrade of the servo horn . I do feel this is going to be the same . I’ve ran it today and wow it’s awesome ! As you say do feel this could quite easily become my favourite. What servo horn did you use again ? Keep up the awesome work Chris 🤙🚀👊💪🏴🇬🇧👌🤩
Hey buddy thanks for watching and the kind words , yes a retro fit is expensive for anyone using the previous 3s and 4s trucks /buggies . It’s depending on how much you want the tune ability I suppose. Going to let it rip today and I’ll be able to report back . Stay awesome Chris 🤙🚀👊👌💪🇬🇧❤️
Hey buddy , Ive got a few friends with the last version so i can make this video happen if you would like to see what , out of the last 4s range ive got the outcast 4s . So this would be a unfair comparison whilst running. What do you think buddy ? Stay awesome Chris :)
@ChriswithaCrc yea I'd like to see a comparison because I was thinking about getting the center diff but not sure if it's worth the £100+ to upgrade, thanks for the helpful videos
Great video, just got mine. Why did the factory set the motor timing so high, it's 22.50 degrees! Is a lower timing better, at least to lower heat?? Thanks if you can answer, new to this.
Hey buddy , Thats a seriously good question technically yes lower temps with lower timing , but that also means lower speeds in my opinion and arrma has tested these motors and they sure do allow some headroom ive have several Spektrum motors and they have been great , new had a issue with a motor getting to hot due to the really good heatsink that they have and fan set up . Stay awesome Chris :)
@@ChriswithaCrc exactly what Arrma told me on the phone. Run it and leave the timing where it us. Thank you for getting back to me, as a new guy in RC, at age 72, I truly appreciate it!!
The biggest problem Arrma need to resolve with the 3s & now 4s trucks is with stones / debris jamming the steering servo, the new 4s Mojave suffers pretty bad with steering jamming which gets pretty annoying depending what terrain you run on.
Hey buddy , now thats a very good point you have quite often you need to shake the stones out of the steering assembly . There has to be a way this can be stopped . As you say its hard to say when it's likely to happen. Hope that your well Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
Just got the Outcast 2.5. Wasn't expecting much, but it's blast! Easily my favorite RC at the moment!

@owen8538 In fairness. Mines holding up pretty well. When something does break, then I'll upgrade.
@cliffjones9922 it's ok if you not blast it your not doing big air my ones been gr8 aswell tho ain t pushed it yet
This is the next big basher I buy Chris. I am so pleased for you even if I am a little envious 😊 the 2.5 is supposed to be super strong!

@@ChriswithaCrc I went with the Hot Racing servo saver in the end. It's a direct replacement and doesn't need modifying 👍
Great review mate. I'd love to do the centre diff upgrade to my 3s Typhon but the cost is ridiculous! Well over £100 for the bits! 😳
