In your interview with Steve's nephew we learned that Steve's dad was an avid comic book reader and some of those comic books could have been Harvey titles. Steve himself possibly browsed through comic books at the spinner rack and newsstands in the 1950s and early 1960s and subconsciously took note of the corner boxes that Harvey had on their books (since the early 1950s) and thought that that would also work for Marvel. Chris on his show Comic Tropes did an episode on the Marvel Corner Boxes and during his presentation of early examples of character faces on books "forgot" to include Harvey's development of the corner box. Dr Strange is my favorite of his two heroes and being a SA Hulkaholic I regard he , Marie Severin and Herb Trimpe as my favorite Hulk artists. ☝🤓 Steve's Charlton and pre hero Marvel anthology goodness remains my favorite period of his talent.
Ditko without any doubt was a major architect of the fabulous Marvel silver-age! I would love to see more recognition as well as acknowledgement & celebration of that fact.
Steve Ditko created so many characters, Stan Lee was probably just walking and talking around Steve thinking of ideas, yet Steve actually implemented it! For example Stan saw a spider, Steve BOOM! GOT right onto it! You don't think a person can't come up with that stuff, by themselves!? Oh and Roy Thomas is very highly underrated too. He did create Guardians Of The Galaxy!
