He looked really happy at the start of 2017, once Chris died it went downhill.
MAN I REALLY REGRET NOT SEEING LP WHEN CHESTER WAS ALIVE. WOW, THAT SOUNDS EVEN CRAZY THINKING, AND TYPING THAT ON MY KEYBOARD. AND IM SUCH A CONCERT BUFF, THNX FED UP (ITS EX NOT UP)FOR HAVING ME SLAVE OVER U WORKING 6 DAYS A WEEK FOR OVER 2 DECADES. I JUST DONT WANT THEM TO GET EVEN CREDIT FOR ANYTHING F THEM. 😫

@@BitWrecker I wasn’t referring to the date it was posted on this channel, but the date of the “live iheart radio” concert. Of course it could have been pre-recorded. I was trying to figure it out based on the information we can obtain without assuming whether LP would have mentioned his passing.

Linkin Park was always ahead of its time. They were not nu-metal, they were not a rock/pop band. They were a movement, a lifestyle and true artists that mastered their crafts and did whatever they wanted with their skills and put all of their feelings on every song. One More Light could have been the beggining of a whole new era for music, but people was just not ready.

Same. I knew and enjoyed a couple of LP songs when I was a teen. It wasn't until he passed that I really started to become a huge fan. I missed out on so much, especially never seeing Chester and the band live. I've been struggling these last few years and his voice has helped me through a lot. RIP Chester

Been battling Depression and Anxiety for awhile now but Linking Parks music has been my relief. Chester helped my young self deal with my issues RIP.
Respect dude. I fight my own battles with anxiety and depression and have really found a home with LP music.
Unfortunately I wasn’t turned on to LP until,after Chester died.
I remember reading of his suicide and how it coincided with Chris Cornell’s birthday.
That set me off on a voyage to understand LP and Chester.
On one hand I’m so happy that I found this music but on the other hand my heart hurts that I will never see LP live or get to hear Chester on stage.
Keep up your maintenance dude.
I feel it’s now our responsibility to keep Chesters work moving.

Yep... 'In the End' guitar should only be played by Brad, but Dave's bass is so growling, I guess maybe that's why Mike add up some additional guitar on that song 😅🎸

2023, 60 years old totally obsessed with LP in the early 2000's but after losing Chester and listening to their greatest hits constantly now.
I listen to their later music and their were so many clues as to what he was feeling.
Even if it was their first collaboration with other writers the whole album was like a suicide note.
LP was always evolving, but every album was where they were in their lives.
The change in their music was the changes in their lives.
So sad to lose Chester knowing how many lives he saved.

Cried as i listen to Chester talking about the meaning of Heavy. RIP Chester. You are so missed.
All Chester's words about new songs were his confession, that his soul was suffering. It's hard for me that nobody couldn't help him. His voice will be always with me.

Man. When Chester starts talking about his depression and asking "What is wrong with me?" I wish someone would've noticed this. I feel like everyone was afraid to ask about it, and they had this worried look in their eyes.
He needed more support, seems most around him didn't deal with depression, his wife said she's never dealt with it, she's lucky. I relate 1000% with Chester. I feel like Chris Cornell was his support who dealt with it also. 😭🙏

I grew up with Linkin Park. It got me through alot of rough times emotionally. It's always the good ones that slip through the cracks and that are taken. I will never understand it. I know everything happens for a reason but I still can't contemplate why the good people are outweighed by the terrible people in the world. 😢

Fuck i cry everytime i see Chester smiling or talking about depression...iits so scary that he hanging himself only 2 months later...fuck i can't thinking about it..its such a bad Nightmare for me..i miss this man so fucking much...i think he has fun with His kids and wife douring at quarantine with the pamdemic....
The speech after heavy , pretty much tells a tale when you love everyone but yourself , the feeling of not being worthy comes in , he always spoke highly of the fans , I really admire him , he worked so hard and did so much to help others that is what his legacy is and I will do the same , just cause he died doesn't diminish what he did im life .

new fan here. trying to accept the fact that, sometimes, music comes to you when you need it the most, but it makes me so sad that i didn't get to enjoy them before. anyway, i'm grateful for all of the albums, videos, performances and content that is left for me to explore. i just wish i could turn back time and do things a liiiittle bit different.

The older I get the more I respect this band. The lyrics are spot on and really make me feel it. I know them since my early 20's but now I'm 38 and really like them. It's just sad I never saw them play Live.

Hearing Mike and Chester joke around and just talk about the music is great.
He seemed like such a down to earth personable person. I understand exactly what he was going through because I live with it everyday. Its crazy to hear him talk about his battle with himself. Being stuck inside his own head. A long time ago I said to someone very close to me " my head is a f**ked up place, its not some place you want to be." Then to hear him say that on a radio show many years later really struck me. So many times I have become lost in my own mind over a battle I've waged on myself over nonsense. I would turn nothing into this mess and in the end believe everything I've been telling myself. It's a tornado for a lack of better words. This band is special and truly 1 of a kind. I know what you went through, its just sad to see it end how it did. Thank you for music that truly hits right in the heart. R.I.P.

Thank you so damn much for sharing your thoughts and feelings so honestly.. they are exactly where I'm coming from.. living with that fxckin' messed up head of mine is a daily challenge and there are times when mental tiredness hits in more than anything and leave me wondering how to get the strength to make it through another day - what and/or whom I'm holding on when I'm just so tired of the never ending wars within myself. So when the news of Chester being gone shook the world, I kept being close to the edge of following him ever since..yet my inner flame didn't wither and I don't know why but in times when I'm able to think clearly I'm glad and listen to Linkin Park with a crying and a smiling eye. Anyway.. please please please stay strong my friend. You got this and one day you may be proud of the decision to keep living your life. Thank you for holding on, you are really strong and a fighter!!

Chester is so humble, down-to-earth, and vulnerable at the same time. He had everything in his life to keep him afloat. How come no one saw this tragedy coming? Obviously, he continued to fight with his demons in his head. It is a shame that no one took him seriously. I felt he really tried to be strong by joking around n being honest. But the pain must of been so overwhelming he succumbed to his death. This has affected me so deeply b/c recently my cousin took his own life too. Out of the millions of ppl who adored n idolized him, this could of been prevented. Did we assume he had everything in life n that he was invincible? This is a wake up call to everyone and we should never stigmatize n ignore a person’s feelings, but embrace them instead. This is now way to common in r everyday life n it has to stop!!!!

2017 the saddest year
I get emotinal when I see a bunch of Linkin Park’s video tonight. I dont know why I cry silently hearing Chester’s voice again tonight, thou I’ve been hearing his voice my entire night, when I was bullied in middle school, when I feel swallowed by loneliness so many times in the past. Thanks to Linkin Park, the first time I have courage and patience to learn a new language, hold a dream to be a better myself, to shine. Probably I did overcome the me in the past - who was a mere mess and disappointment. But then there was a time I tried to stay away from LP’s songs, as a way to stay away from the past, the pain I had. How much I regret it now, knowing that I’ll never be able to hear Chester’s voice again, listening to LP’s music tonight is like a short reunion with a whole life that I have put behind for a long time.
Forever together and never apart, maybe in distance but never by heart….❤
