In German when you encounter a Pf you say both sounds. For example the German word for their "cents" or coinage (prior to switching to Euros) was Pfennig pronounced as pah-fen-ig. So Pfeildorf is pronounced Pah-file-dorf (note that the pah sound doesn't have a lot of emphasis it is a subtle sound) As for overstretching, I think you need to take Eschen and Waldenhof to secure up Eastern Sylvania, take the rest of Talebecland so you have that whole province and then take Averland. That way you are securing the whole of two provinces you control only partially (which will prove better for public order and profit) and you are removing the threat that is in your middle. I would also try to possibly create some kind of alliances with the dwarves and the other humans that way you have some protection from Chaos in the north and Orcs in the south.

That charge was epic! :D The lore about Solland was that it was located around where Pfeildorf is (how fitting that you confederated with Wissenland for it!), and was destroyed several centuries ago by Waaaagh! Gorbad. The elector count was slain, his bloodline exterminated, and his runefang (his magical sword of office) was seized by the Orc warlord as a trophy. The Waaaagh! made it all the way to Altdorf, and managed to kill the presiding emperor, before the horde fractured internally and was eventually driven off. The Solland runefang was eventually recovered, but since Solland no longer existed, it was given to the captain of the Reiksguard (who sadly isn't a legendary lord).
I have the exact same reaction with cavalry charges, they're incredibly satisfying in Warhammer! One other thing that tickles my pickle is my lord slaughtering hundreds of men by himself and/or wrecking the opposing lord in melee.
Looking good Lionheart. I would just suggest you leave the blacksmith in Nuln alone. You are going to make that your artillery capital, and you need the armory to make Steam Tanks and other siege weapons.

Hi lionheart,just a shout for some tactics you may want to apply in the game,especially with chaos descending down from the north.With chaos coming down i think that you should get more agents,not particularly to level up but to send north so that you can track the descent of chaos into you lands.As it is,you cant see chaos and they will just pop out of the mist and you wont be able to move your troops around fast enough to prevent you loosing some settlements.If you send some agents up there you will be able to see where they are going to hit you so you can place your armies in good time to be in the best position. Wissenland is a tricky duck, my friend. You're going to want both the gunsmith and the *special* Nuln-only building there, which is two slots. Your blacksmith/armory chain doesn't help with any of the gunpowder units that you can make here, so I'd get rid of it. I'd also drop the livery in Pfeildort (and put the shrine there instead if you really want it, because the lowest-level building in that chain is enough, honestly). You have no corruption in the province now, and just the basic shrine in Pfeildort will be more than enough to overcome the Chaos influence later (plus you have no vampiric influence to worry about anymore).
Hey Lionheart, I would recommend recruit another warrior priest at Nuln first thing next episode so you can hunt down that chaos agent that just spawned or deploy him to stem corruption. As for the pistoliers in Franz's army, no point having them if they're not used properly (Arch Warhammer believess their useless) so swap them for a Halberdier and a Reiksguard. You got another settlement in Western Sylvania that's unoccpuied (Waldendorf) to build up for another commandment.
Going on a conquest spree against the Border Princes since just like the crazy move Elector Count Marius Leitdorf would do. He is described as the Mad Count of Averland and was constantly doing weird stuff that made Karl-Franz job harder.
If you ever do another cinematic that features this game, you have to use that cavalry charge. I don't care what people say that was cinematically perfect!
Something we haven't see but would be very satisfying, would be artillery bombardment of the enemies. You do very well with cannons in Maranatha and other total war games, but have not really seen you utilize artillery in the total war series.

My favourite thing in Total War is when you get the enemy in a single choke point, with a nice box of infantry waiting for them, while they are pounded with fire arrows, and an entire army flee's from a battle they were heavily in favour of winning.
What tickles my Total War fancy is when my army has so much ranged firepower that it can annihilate/route enemy melee units before they can get to me. That's fun. It's even better when I can do it in a battle that is actually worth fighting (as opposed to a little throw-away battle where it's not as much fun).

There are 2 things that get me off in these games. Getting LOTS of archers and watching everyone die like cannon fodder or getting LOTS of cavalry and watch everyone go flying as they get crushed by my horses of war. Of course you have to make sure that you don't face a lot of units that are strong against them but it's still a lot of fun and really satisfying.
when you get a new settlement , you'll need times to refill up the garrison ! So don't march outward if you just capture or annex a new settlement !!!!!
In you're next Empire play through can you just go west plz, just avoid chaos and the vampires, and just get Brittonia and lyonesse, then just get all those mountain ranges, its a nice solid defense area, and the heartland of humanity :P
Noticed in today's battles - twice crossbowmen were run at head on by halberdiers "You guys are getting wrecked!". Halberdiers don't have shields, you had swordsmen - who have shields. Stop the senseless death of halberdiers :(
Why declare war on Averland without wrapping up Eastern Sylvania? Franz could take the rest of the province in 2 turns. The public order in Dakenhoff would be much easier to manage, and it would be a solid frontier against Chaos.

Pistoliers are next to useless. Outriders are another story, but for now, Rieksguard will be infinitely more useful.

the bit where you charge down the hill reminded me of the helms deep charge it looked brutal

i really am satisfied by looking at the mounds of slain enemies at the foot of the walls at a successful siege defense

If you're going to keep the pistoliers name them Rough Riders, because they've had a rough time under your command.
You need to give your allies a war target and send chaos a pair of play mates.

replace the pistoliers in franz's army with reiksgaurd because it makes sense lore wise

you should REALLY get the growth building in marienburg ASAP. Marienburg is probably the most valuable single city in the game aside from Altdorf.

The charge looked awesome, but it only knocked the soldiers back. There was alsmost no damage done
