I have some sort of experience relating to this topic. When I was 16 I got an autoimmune disease that put me in the hospital for several months. Most of the time I was wallowing in self pity and waiting for external aid to make me healthy again, but at some point I changed my mindset into putting effort into getting better. I started showering every day instead of being bedridden, I started brushing my teeth twice a day even if I hadn't eaten and forced myself to drink water rather than just getting it intraveniously.
If I put effort into trying to get healthy I seemed to recover more quickly in subsequent hospitalisations. I know there are other factors than just my mind-set, but actively trying to get better is the difference between fighting the disease and just waiting for it to subside.

So we gave him a sirup made out of bitter juice and sugar and said this was the strongest painkiller we could give. Anyway, his pain was gone after just an hour.

Manifestation doesn't exist. It's just an illusion or coping mechanism slapped over what is simply chance, luck, or happenstance. It's a scientific fact that a huge portion of "success" is actually LUCK. For those interested, they should research it, but it's true. Note that this does NOT mean that people don't need to do anything to achieve results. What it means is that you could work very, very hard at something--possibly even be excellent at it--and you might never achieve success. 💪😎✌️ That's bad luck, not "lazy, talentless person" at play! And it demonstrates that "manifestation" is merely favorable luck which people would prefer to attribute to themselves, lol. 🙄

    • @kittydemonoverkill
      @kittydemonoverkill Год назад

@@Novastar.SaberCombat manifestation is a thing to an extent, but as soon as it brings another entity into it, it wouldn't work. Athough, yeah, it is an illusion, that's still the point of it. You can manifest the effects of Placebo(which is merely an illusion that can cause actual effects), although I don't think you can do it whilst aware that it's merely an illusion. I might be incorrect on the last part, though.

    My Placebo effect stories:
I’ve tricked myself out of a stomachache/throwing up I ate Hawaiian pizza one day TASTIEST slice ever btw only turns out halfway through the slice that the ham was green and it was ONLY THEN that my stomach started hurting real bad so I just thought really hard to myself “u don’t feel anything it’ll pass u were fine before u found out so ur not actually sick” for a solid 5-10 mins n I was good as new. Haven’t thrown up in years and trust me I have eaten crazy shit
I convince myself I’m not cold while wearing shorts and/or a short sleeve shirt while others wear sweaters
One day I woke up heavily ill idk from what but my whole body ached like my joints, head, throat + runny nose SO I just drank some water, threw on my favorite song and got my ass out of the couch and danced NO LIE I felt healed
I’ve reinvented how my face looks just through thought and execution (like my eye shape) I’ve realized when ur attitude is bright or happy ur face reflects that not just through ur current expressions or fine lines but long term shaping and look of ur face
It’s even happened to me with my period cramps they’re THE WORST typa pain but I noticed when I get my body moving (which is hard to do since it’s painful) sometimes it almost makes my body forget it has a period for a bit
I also noticed my worst sicknesses have been when I allow them to take me and when I’m sad like going through a heartbreak. I don’t take medicine or pain killers (unless I fr need it which hasn’t happened yet) bc I like to put my body through consistent and mini sicknesses and pain to build my immune system so having that outlook already puts me one step ahead. It’s almost like a workout for my immune system
This is why I believe in affirmations and having my attitude/actions and thoughts create my reality

Apparently there was a test done where a machine was making artificial snowflakes and they were multiple tests that were divided into 2 sections, One was positive and the other was negative. The positive test consisted of people showing positive thoughts and an overall positive vibe while the negative was the opposite. In the end, the positive experiments had much better looking snowflakes then the negative side. I was wondering if this had anything to do with the placebo effect, except it was effecting the environment.

I am surprised that this channel isn't more popular. Also this should be a podcast.

besides the marvelous contents, the edits are really superb too. the effort exerted in these videos are worthy of more than a million subscribers. the quality of each clips, and its connection to the narration, is something i really appreciate - things that i exactly want while watching informational contents like these, plus the relaxing narration which just felt like listening to bedtime stories, makes me unconsciously immersed. unlike the loud, active, typical narrator's voice that makes me think im in a class makes me feel of the requirement to listen to the discussion, making me lost interest.
lastly, the one i loved the most is the way you wrote the script. the intro is really impactful as well as the ending which leaves the audience hanging and puzzled after watching your vids - this type of writing is smth i want to improve in my way of making essays... i really love your technique in writing these scripts.. and especially the things you talk abt in which you apply this writing... i'm really a fan of these masterpiece, thank u for this

literally and then ur life changes because of what u attract - the whole point is to see weather you are ready to change and are willing to change, u can be broke but have a rich mentality - AND THAT'S where it starts and changes...

if u don't believe in it won't happen - that's also how religion works - religion literally a massive placebo effect and a place of thought control - but that' doesn't matter cuz it works and everyone has a point in life and is happy

Crazy how you can convince the brain. When I was younger and had hiccups my mom would cut out a small piece of paper and stick it on my forehead, she told me it would get rid of the hiccups and it always did. Never understood how it worked

Your mind is the strongest thing ever but the only downside is that you can’t force your mind into thinking something or being something. If we could do this we would be able to do anything

and thats why i subscribed to your channel. most of your contents are most of the things that im really interested and that i always think abt. you just cured my curiosity that has been bothering me for years. its fascinating how the power of mind can make you do things you dont know you're capable of. and at the end of the day, it will always be your mindset that matters in everything that you do... it's all abt the way of thinking that you possess

Lmao I discovered when I was younger and would stay up late my dad would give me a mint tic tac and tell me it was a sleeping pill and I remember that thing would knock me right out. Then one day I asked for mint tic tacs and he said no get the orange ones and his aversion to the mint ones and how similar the orange ones tasted to my “sleeping pills” made me realize I’m dumb af.

I wonder if in taking a placebo and not knowing you have but knowing the side effects of the actual drug you could have taken, your mind begins to develop the side effects because you're convinced you took the actual drug.
    Trippy!

Really excellent video, raising important questions about what medicine potentially should adopt as best practices. Accepting the placebo effect as a useful method of helping a patient could lead to a focus on a patient's state of mind for increased comfort during even terminal illnesses.
