Randy is the only one out there with the balls & the heart to say how he feels......And anyone over 35 years old who can honestly say that the direction that bass fishing has gone doesn't HURT (as in break their fucking heart) either is lying, or really has no business behind the helm of a bass boat. (A little harsh there....but hey🤷♂️). I like Ben, he's a good dude.....but I feel like he needs to cool his jets. The newfound fame hasn't fully adjusted in him yet. I think he'll have a wake-up call soon enough. 👍

In my opinion it takes the fun away from bass fishing. I’m 45 and love to bass fish, that being said I catch plenty of bass and don’t need flashy expensive electronics to catch fish. Do I have some electronics yes but really don’t use them other than to find some structure or shell beds.
I would say, not at all……fishery populations will decline. We’ve seen it with crappie fishing in South Georgia. It’s too easy…….you have to adjust to technology. Every sport has had that problem.
Randy lives heavily in Ben's head. Ben knows he owes a ton of his success to video game fishing, and Randy is threatening that with his calls to ban ffs.
I stopped watching Randy because of his content and way out there opinion on almost everything. Ben is a hard worker but for the love of God just let an old dog lie.. Although I am not a fan of FFS I would never spend what Randy wants for one of his "elite+++" jigs. I can make a better jig then that! That being said I can't wait for the next salvos to be fired LOL. Thanks for sharing.
Ben has definitely made it more personal, which does show that Randy is in his head. Which also shows that down deep he knows some of what Randy is saying is true!
Miliken is more butthurt than Randy in my opinion. I hate when Miliken says livescope doesn't catch fish or just because you see them doesn't mean they are going to bite.. I have it and I catch 5 times more fish than when I didn't have it. Just got done updating my Garmin and picture is getting clearer and clearer, in my opinion it will hurt bass populations as more people get their hands on future and better live sonars.
You’re not wrong buddy. Time will tell for sure. Lakes are so over fished these days with tournaments and folks keeping more than they are allowed to the fish dying from being handled wrong. Now you have livescope which truly makes it easier to catch the bass smh 🤦. How’s about doing the work the old fashion way and put in the time to find the fish without all these new gadgets. It’s definitely easier with forward facing sonar. I don’t have it but have friends that do. I do have some electronics but really only use them for finding structure and shell beds. Best believe in the near future fishing will get a lot tougher even with the new sonar tech.

Randy has taken plenty of shots at other professional anglers over the years. He's done it overtly and he's used "passive-aggressive" tendencies to veil his jabs. It's subtle sometimes. Overall, it's all combined to lower my level of respect and expectations of Randy over the years. He enjoyed some success back in the day, but he's accomplished very little in recent years to still be standing on a pedestal. I'm glad he reached out a hand to Johnny Shultz. There's a fella I have a lot of respect for, but he was going largely un-noticed for a long time. Randy's help has catapulted Shultz into well deserved popularity. Johnny is a "doer", much like Ben. They've both built a brand and they are steadily demonstrating competence. Bed catapulted himslef by winning Opens and qualifying for the Elites. Johnny would have had a much longer road ahead of him if it wasn't for Randy's help. However, Randy is merely riding an old broken down train running on mediocre success from a day gone by. He's highly opinionated and he's not shy about sharing his opinion, even while his viewership is declining. To me, he's doing the same thing Hollywood celebrities do when they jump up on a political soapbox. Nobody is interested in those opinions, and if you are, you have no life and no opinion of your own. Hollywood actors have one job to do and that is to entertain the rest of us. Those who profess their political views suffer at the box office. That's a fact. Influencers who have run their course of effective influencing should probably spend a little more time practicing the craft that they intend to influence, rather than just chirping at everyone else in the profession. That's how I feel about it.
I respectively disagree with Randy being jealous of Ben's accomplishments all be it Ben is a great angler with a bright future he hasn't as of yet reached the level at which Randy had in his hay day. Crazy I just left Randy's latest video coming here. I really honestly believe Randy is concerned about what the future holds for the fish as a species not just Bass per say but all sport fish . Guess ya could say conservationist or something to that affect. But as I commented on his video IMO FFS is the least of our worries wit way the world is going and headed. 100% on the Senior Tour. Guys that have already proven themselves don’t need to live on the road. I’m friends with Mike Ike and watch him suffer with the decision to continue touring. It’s really counterproductive to his business and takes up to much time. He loves to tournament fish and even shows up for some of my clubs opens but his time could be better spent with less time on the road.
It's kinda true about the click bait videos. Probably a good reason why my channel is small, I refuse to click bait!!. If someone misleads in one area, who knows where else they also will. But a lot of these big channels are grinding for a paycheck. Me, I have a job and do this for the love of fishing. So, if I stay small, fine... at least I stay true.

As someone who watches both channels, I can say with confidence that Randy brought this on himself. When Randy started making videos (years ago I might ad) attacking tournament anglers who use FFS instead of the companies, he opened the path for those anglers to respond to him IMO. Sure Randy made videos trying to explain how he wasn't talking about the anglers, all while making videos proclaiming that anyone using FFS was a "spotlighter" a term he uses to this day. Most people associate that term with illegal hunting, which in some states has a criminal charge attached to it. He's also said that FFS is cheating which implies that rules are being broken, and that those that use FFS can't catch a fish without it. Finally, and this is the one that probably got the ball rolling for Ben to respond to Randy was that anyone who won a tournament with FFS their win was illegitimate, and should have an asterisk by it, again implying that a legal piece of equipment was cheating. Sure Randy likes to hide behind the "I never mentioned anyone's name" as if it's some sort of free pass to insult everyone and be immune to responses. As far as who is living rent free in who's head, it's probably pretty even IMO.

I will say I’m not a big, live scope fan and will never have one on my boat. I think it takes some of the mystery out of fishing. But with that said, what’s going on between Ben and Randy is almost entertaining I will agree with one statement you said I’m almost to the point to believe they’re in cahoots on this I think behind the scenes, they both know their benefiting from it
In my opinion the reason Randy is in Bens head is because ben spent years dialing in his skills with his electronics and its going to provide a real opportunity to make some good elite money and change the game and here is Randy wanting take away with this money making opportunity off bens plate lol i enjoy them both though.
I agree with your take on this 💯. I watched part of the interview and think Ben is a better fisherman and I like livescope. But at the end randy wished Ben luck and was professional, while Ben was hateful. I feel like Ben makes it personal vs randy just seems to attack ffs. I think Ben does better videos by a lot and randy has a lot of negativity, but from what I've observed randy limits persi attacks while Ben got for the throat.

I am not a fan of forward fishing sonar. Why not go fully automated and get rid of the human angler on the boat altogether? Just have some kid on a Playstation cast and set the hook with his controller through an app. Actually, I would be a fan of getting rid of pro fishing tournaments completely off of public waters.

Randy Blaukat qualified for his first Bassmaster Classic when he was 24 - 25 yrs of age.....Ben Miliken has qualifed for is first Bassmaster Classic at 34 yrs old. tap the brakes to call Blaukat jealous. Both make good points and both are correct on FFS . If fishing pressure negatively affects fishing, which it does , then guys getting better on FFS is going to hurt the remainder of years Blaukat has left to fish, fun fishing or whatever, in the short term. In the long term, nature will adjust . I do not agree that FFS is just like spotlighting for deer as Blaukat says. If you want to curb negative fishing pressure, limit tournaments not technology . Too many damn tournaments on most of these lakes
I don't think age is a good barometer for comparing Randy and Ben. Results would be better IMO. Before Randy won the classic at buggs island, he had fished a total of 33 B.A.S.S tournaments with 1 top ten (7th place at Guntersville) and 1 classic appearance.

I think Ben is jealous of Randy. Randy has some real angling credentials. Ben has qualified for one Classic and has won a single national event, I have 2 of each and did it on the weekend and on my paid vacations. I also think Randy could do a better job of arguing for a ban on ffs. Randy has already gotten a number of things that I’ve done in the past banned so if he can save me some money I would appreciate it, lol.
Comparing credentials when Ben hasn't made a single cast isn't a very good comparison. Randy had 1 top 10 (87 guntersville) and 1 classic appearance in 33 B.A.S.S. events before he won at Buggs. Correct me if i'm wrong but it looks like you fished 32 B.A.S.S. events with 3 top 10's and 2 classic appearances. If Ben fishes that many pro events we could make a better comparison IMO.

You had a great career that many people praise you for. From what I understand, you fished the federation (tried to get in when you were too young from what I thought I heard you say), fished B.A.S.S events, MLF events, plus probably more that I don't even know about. Why would you reduce that to "I'm just some blue collar worker that fished on vacation? Please tell me you aren't trying to paint a narrative so that if Ben surpasses your stats you will use that as a crutch to justify why Ben isn't as good etc. If the point of what you're doing is to say something to the effect of "I would hope Ben could do that, he has RUclips, 6th sense, etc behind him " I would caution you that all that would be doing is hurting Randy's credibility (he has almost the exact same stats as you and fishing was his main goal)(just some advice, take it or leave it). If Ben starts to do well in tournaments, people won't be comparing his stats to yours, they will be comparing his to Randy's, and since we can't compare entire careers to still working on a career, we can only compare on an individual tournament or season stats. It's like that in every sport. This quarterback has more accomplishments as this retired quarterback through the first x numbers of games. It's the only fair way to compare.

Honestly, there is no jealousy on Randy's part because he wasn't familiar with Ben's name until more than a year ago. It was only after I asked Randy on his channel if he knew about Ben Milliken bad mouthing him horribly during Oliver Ngy's Live Stream, even slandering Randy's reputation at the time, can I confirm that he knew about it. Not until a month ago did Randy ever mention Ben at all on his channel, only because Ben kept putting Randy's picture in a mocking way on his thumbnails, like he was thirsty for some attention from Randy. So he just made one episode about Ben, including Ben's picture in the thumbnail, and it triggered Ben and his followers like the greatest sin in bass fishing had been committed. Immediately after that drop, Randy's channel has been getting trolled to no end by Ben's subscribers. Yes, there were trolls on Randy's channel before Randy made the video, but afterwards it was like a brigade of Ben's sycophants were dedicated to trolling Randy like some cancel culture campaign. Ben should have been aware of what he was doing and how his followers would react from the very beginning of his "outing" Randy as if he was some kind of vicious predator. Since I first mentioned it to Randy, I did say that l let Ben know how unfair and disrespectful he was being in my own special way. And I concluded in saying that "we/I" had his back. That's when Randy started mentioning the term "You guys have my back". Which I still kind of do, or I wouldn't be mentioning any of the drama in this comment. I say, "sort of", because Randy let everyone know a couple of days after that pay back episode that he is pretty much a liberal Democrat by agreeing with one of his viewers (not even a member) about having voted for Beijing Biden before and having no problems voting for him again. That was more than enough for me to cancel my +1 year long membership I had with his channel. I still respect Randy for being a fighter (literally) and for his hard earned wisdom and decades long experience in the Pro Bass Fishing World. I really liked his simple and insightful approach. But, he probably still leans left because of what George W did to our country's economy and reputation, and hasn't gotten over it. That definitely does not mean Ben is any better politically, as you mentioned. I was made aware of his liberal democrat perspective more than a year ago, when he mentioned how much he loved LaChina James of the LA Lakers. I never really liked Ben's disrespectful Bipolar and vicious attitude anyway. All he did was prove that he really had no redeeming qualities this past year. Since then, I could care less about either of their opinions on anything, and blocked their channels from my stream. GOOD RIDDANCE!
I would encourage you to ditch the political litmus test. Someone with opposite political views does have useful things to say. That being said, Randy proclaims that only the conservation agencies should have access to FFS so they can properly manage fish populations. Then, in the next sentence or next video, he lays into those same agencies who aren't doing enough to restrict tournaments or development and hurting fish populations. Many I know who align with Democrats have this same thinking - the government ought to have more power, while also complaining that the government does a poor job in managing 2 or 3 dozen other programs or agencies.

As far as my take on Randy's views on FFS are concerned, which I should have been more forthcoming with but simply neglected to do so, I believe he's being more authoritarian than he thinks. I do agree with him in regards to limiting its usage in tournaments however. It does even the playing field, despite the fact that the playing field does not deserve to be evened out. The acclaim and financial gains bestowed on tournament winners were meant to reward merit, having been proven by ones abilities in direct competition against the best in the country, and beyond any reasonable doubt. INSTEAD, LiveScope has evened the playing field so much it robs an angler of the benefits of hard earned knowledge and life long experiences, in regards to Top End Professional Tournament Angling. I'm certain the statistics are there in plain site when comparing the average performance of a KVD level angler before and after the popularity of FFS turned into a RECOGNIZED DEPENDENCY for Professional tournament Anglers. When it comes to private usage, I think we agree on it being up to conservation focused state institutions to determine its legality and/or regulation being based on evidence and the public interest. When it comes to Mr. Miliken.... I think his duplicitously aggressive attitude and blind acceptance of technology, over historical context and established tradition, has crossed the line in regards to (what were once called) basic decency, professionalism, and mutual respect. If Ben was not sponsored by a major tackle label (through equity or not) and considered by the Pro Tournament Industry as a possible messiah that might save it from it's own inability to overcome the "technology" that has "robbed" it of its premium cable television audience, the lack thereof would have been labeled onto his personal branding by the exact same institutions long ago, reflecting a conservative market's perception of him. The arrogance and shamelessness displayed by him only supersedes any liability he may have incurred solely on his own for slandering a life long respected member of the industry he claims to be representing. THAT, I CANNOT TAKE SIDES WITH AT ALL!

While i couldn't care less about who's living rent free in who's head...Anyone that thinks this technology will not cause a serious decline in fish populations, really has no intelligence and/or common sense...it's very obvious what's going to happen to the future of fishing....while I'm in my 40's, the rapid decline of fish populations & the sport will not likely effect me too bad...A real shame for those younger, all the way down to future anglers...the sport of fishing has reached its peak & will be heading towards a thing of the past, thx to technology..Spot lighting, cheating, whatever you choose to call FFS, isn't fishing & will decimate a resource that's not unlimited like some anglers believe..Seems Randy gets it, and guys like Ben do not...Fishing's a privilege & should be respected as such...The greed of companies like Garmin will attract the anglers, who really don't respect the sport & are just living the moment with no regards to the quality & future of fishing
I think it will have an effect of fishing. I use the 'Gulp' story. First came out, EVERYTHING ate it, then I think fish learned the scent and then it became harder to catch em on. We will see, but lets hope something changes. Cheers and tight lines.

Semi-old guy here. One thing most Zoomers and Mellenials don't understand is that in the days before the internet, people had these things called "personalities ". We didn't talk and act like we were in front of a camera, and didn't think about what "got views ". Milikins statistics are pretty much worthless. He has no stats on the delayed mortality of bass. Randy is truly concerned about the future of our sport.
Havent seen Bens content. Randy gets tiresome and leans on opinion and anecdotes heavily. I dont know what Randy's motivations are, but i think there is some concern for the long term health of bass fishing. It's not like man hasnt used new technology or methods to decimate animal populations in the past, e.g., the buffalo.

Back when I young the flasher was considered to be cheating! The only things you needed was how to read a map and know your seasonal patterns! And every technology after that was at one time or another was called cheating! You can’t get away from people’s opinions and you know what the saying about opinions are,lol! I subscribed to Randy’s channel very briefly. Bad vibes, click bait and really dumb fishing hacks. I later ran into Randy at the Branson West WalMart. He was there on a non-appearance, but parked on the sidewalk against the front of the store and then hung out in front of the check stands expecting an excited mob? I was wearing my Skeeter hat and stopped by to ask if he was there for the BFL and just said yes with no smile or welcoming vibe. I said good luck and he kinda shrugged like he didn’t need it? He finished in 78th place! 😂
I will disagree, Ben is living rent free in Randy's head, no question. Randy has become irrelevant on any circuit simply because he refuses to adapt and grow. Rather than improve himself he attacks others who do. Randy's content has become nothing more than a whining platform for those who can't afford or can not understand how to use modern technology.

Randy started all of this.I have ffs, but really don't use it that much! If u agree with Randy, then get that damn side and down imaging off ur boat. 2d sonar only. Another thing, he says no one has a chance to win without ffs! Then why make videos on fishing techniques that wont work.Everyone where i fish have ffs, but i bet they don't win 50% of the tournaments!!
I do think that it helps a lot of anglers. John Cox for example is one who doesn't use it and he has not been as dominate. Having said that, the anglers who really know it, are performing better. The tournament here on Toho for the kids just happened and it was the first time that FFS played a huge role for the top anglers. Cheers and tight lines.

Seriously he's made a target out of a 62 year old angler whose long past his best days with a better resume than Ben will likely ever have. Randy is the only one out there with the balls & the heart to say how he feels......And anyone over 35 years old who can honestly say that the direction that bass fishing has gone doesn't HURT (as in break their fucking heart) either is lying, or really has no business behind the helm of a bass boat. In my opinion it takes the fun away from bass fishing. I’m 45 and love to bass fish, that being said I catch plenty of bass and don’t need flashy expensive electronics to catch fish. Do I have some electronics yes but really don’t use them other than to find some structure or shell beds.
I would say, not at all……fishery populations will decline. We’ve seen it with crappie fishing in South Georgia. It’s too easy…….you have to adjust to technology. Every sport has had that problem.
Randy lives heavily in Ben's head. Ben knows he owes a ton of his success to video game fishing, and Randy is threatening that with his calls to ban ffs.
I stopped watching Randy because of his content and way out there opinion on almost everything. Ben is a hard worker but for the love of God just let an old dog lie.. Although I am not a fan of FFS I would never spend what Randy wants for one of his "elite+++" jigs. I can make a better jig then that! Miliken is more butthurt than Randy in my opinion. I hate when Miliken says livescope doesn't catch fish or just because you see them doesn't mean they are going to bite.. I have it and I catch 5 times more fish than when I didn't have it. Just got done updating my Garmin and picture is getting clearer and clearer, in my opinion it will hurt bass populations as more people get their hands on future and better live sonars.
You’re not wrong buddy. Time will tell for sure. Lakes are so over fished these days with tournaments and folks keeping more than they are allowed to the fish dying from being handled wrong. Now you have livescope which truly makes it easier to catch the bass smh 🤦. How’s about doing the work the old fashion way and put in the time to find the fish without all these new gadgets. It’s definitely easier with forward facing sonar. I don’t have it but have friends that do. I do have some electronics but really only use them for finding structure and shell beds. Best believe in the near future fishing will get a lot tougher even with the new sonar tech.

Randy has taken plenty of shots at other professional anglers over the years. He's done it overtly and he's used "passive-aggressive" tendencies to veil his jabs. It's subtle sometimes. Overall, it's all combined to lower my level of respect and expectations of Randy over the years. He enjoyed some success back in the day, but he's accomplished very little in recent years to still be standing on a pedestal. I'm glad he reached out a hand to Johnny Shultz. There's a fella I have a lot of respect for, but he was going largely un-noticed for a long time. Randy's help has catapulted Shultz into well deserved popularity. Johnny is a "doer", much like Ben. They've both built a brand and they are steadily demonstrating competence. Bed catapulted himslef by winning Opens and qualifying for the Elites. Johnny would have had a much longer road ahead of him if it wasn't for Randy's help. However, Randy is merely riding an old broken down train running on mediocre success from a day gone by. He's highly opinionated and he's not shy about sharing his opinion, even while his viewership is declining. To me, he's doing the same thing Hollywood celebrities do when they jump up on a political soapbox. Nobody is interested in those opinions, and if you are, you have no life and no opinion of your own. Hollywood actors have one job to do and that is to entertain the rest of us. Those who profess their political views suffer at the box office. That's a fact. Influencers who have run their course of effective influencing should probably spend a little more time practicing the craft that they intend to influence, rather than just chirping at everyone else in the profession. That's how I feel about it.

I respectively disagree with Randy being jealous of Ben's accomplishments all be it Ben is a great angler with a bright future he hasn't as of yet reached the level at which Randy had in his hay day. Crazy I just left Randy's latest video coming here. I really honestly believe Randy is concerned about what the future holds for the fish as a species not just Bass per say but all sport fish . Guess ya could say conservationist or something to that affect. But as I commented on his video IMO FFS is the least of our worries wit way the world is going and headed. While filling out paper work at docs office other day there were3 or 4 more boxes you could choose to check in the gender section and HE may get angry seeing how HE only created man and woman and higher ups trying to play HIM and create others. But hey looking forward to Fantsy Fishinglol. 100% on the Senior Tour. Guys that have already proven themselves don’t need to live on the road. I’m friends with Mike Ike and watch him suffer with the decision to continue touring. It’s really counterproductive to his business and takes up to much time. He loves to tournament fish and even shows up for some of my clubs opens but his time could be better spent with less time on the road.

Probably a good reason why my channel is small, I refuse to click bait!!. If someone misleads in one area, who knows where else they also will. But a lot of these big channels are grinding for a paycheck. Me, I have a job and do this for the love of fishing. So, if I stay small, fine... at least I stay true.

As someone who watches both channels, I can say with confidence that Randy brought this on himself. When Randy started making videos (years ago I might ad) attacking tournament anglers who use FFS instead of the companies, he opened the path for those anglers to respond to him IMO. Sure Randy made videos trying to explain how he wasn't talking about the anglers, all while making videos proclaiming that anyone using FFS was a "spotlighter" a term he uses to this day. Most people associate that term with illegal hunting, which in some states has a criminal charge attached to it. He's also said that FFS is cheating which implies that rules are being broken, and that those that use FFS can't catch a fish without it. Finally, and this is the one that probably got the ball rolling for Ben to respond to Randy was that anyone who won a tournament with FFS their win was illegitimate, and should have an asterisk by it, again implying that a legal piece of equipment was cheating. Sure Randy likes to hide behind the "I never mentioned anyone's name" as if it's some sort of free pass to insult everyone and be immune to responses. As far as who is living rent free in who's head, it's probably pretty even IMO.

In my opinion the reason Randy is in Bens head is because ben spent years dialing in his skills with his electronics and its going to provide a real opportunity to make some good elite money and change the game and here is Randy wanting take away with this money making opportunity off bens plate lol i enjoy them both though.

But at the end randy wished Ben luck and was professional, while Ben was hateful. I feel like Ben makes it personal vs randy just seems to attack ffs. I think Ben does better videos by a lot and randy has a lot of negativity, but from what I've observed randy limits persi attacks while Ben got for the throat.

Randy Blaukat qualified for his first Bassmaster Classic when he was 24 - 25 yrs of age.....Ben Miliken has qualifed for is first Bassmaster Classic at 34 yrs old. tap the brakes to call Blaukat jealous. Both make good points and both are correct on FFS . If fishing pressure negatively affects fishing, which it does , then guys getting better on FFS is going to hurt the remainder of years Blaukat has left to fish, fun fishing or whatever, in the short term. In the long term, nature will adjust . I do not agree that FFS is just like spotlighting for deer as Blaukat says. If you want to curb negative fishing pressure, limit tournaments not technology . Too many damn tournaments on most of these lakes
I don't think age is a good barometer for comparing Randy and Ben. Results would be better IMO. Before Randy won the classic at buggs island, he had fished a total of 33 B.A.S.S tournaments with 1 top ten (7th place at Guntersville) and 1 classic appearance.
Qualifying for a Bassmaster Classic is an accomplishment. But its irrelevant, jealousy of Ben Miliken's success has nothing to do with what he is talking about relative to FFS. Miliken has been the one attacking him. Period@@christopher9076

I think Ben is jealous of Randy. Randy has some real angling credentials. Ben has qualified for one Classic and has won a single national event, I have 2 of each and did it on the weekend and on my paid vacations. I also think Randy could do a better job of arguing for a ban on ffs. Randy has already gotten a number of things that I’ve done in the past banned so if he can save me some money I would appreciate it, lol.
Comparing credentials when Ben hasn't made a single cast isn't a very good comparison. Randy had 1 top 10 (87 guntersville) and 1 classic appearance in 33 B.A.S.S. events before he won at Buggs. Correct me if i'm wrong but it looks like you fished 32 B.A.S.S. events with 3 top 10's and 2 classic appearances. If Ben fishes that many pro events we could make a better comparison IMO.

You had a great career that many people praise you for. From what I understand, you fished the federation (tried to get in when you were too young from what I thought I heard you say), fished B.A.S.S events, MLF events, plus probably more that I don't even know about. Why would you reduce that to "I'm just some blue collar worker that fished on vacation? Please tell me you aren't trying to paint a narrative so that if Ben surpasses your stats you will use that as a crutch to justify why Ben isn't as good etc. If the point of what you're doing is to say something to the effect of "I would hope Ben could do that, he has RUclips, 6th sense, etc behind him " I would caution you that all that would be doing is hurting Randy's credibility (he has almost the exact same stats as you and fishing was his main goal)(just some advice, take it or leave it). If Ben starts to do well in tournaments, people won't be comparing his stats to yours, they will be comparing his to Randy's, and since we can't compare entire careers to still working on a career, we can only compare on an individual tournament or season stats. It's like that in every sport. This quarterback has more accomplishments as this retired quarterback through the first x numbers of games. It's the only fair way to compare.

Honestly, there is no jealousy on Randy's part because he wasn't familiar with Ben's name until more than a year ago. It was only after I asked Randy on his channel if he knew about Ben Milliken bad mouthing him horribly during Oliver Ngy's Live Stream, even slandering Randy's reputation at the time, can I confirm that he knew about it. Not until a month ago did Randy ever mention Ben at all on his channel, only because Ben kept putting Randy's picture in a mocking way on his thumbnails, like he was thirsty for some attention from Randy.
So he just made one episode about Ben, including Ben's picture in the thumbnail, and it triggered Ben and his followers like the greatest sin in bass fishing had been committed. Immediately after that drop, Randy's channel has been getting trolled to no end by Ben's subscribers. Yes, there were trolls on Randy's channel before Randy made the video, but afterwards it was like a brigade of Ben's sycophants were dedicated to trolling Randy like some cancel culture campaign. Ben should have been aware of what he was doing and how his followers would react from the very beginning of his "outing" Randy as if he was some kind of vicious predator.
Since I first mentioned it to Randy, I did say that l let Ben know how unfair and disrespectful he was being in my own special way. And I concluded in saying that "we/I" had his back. That's when Randy started mentioning the term "You guys have my back".
Which I still kind of do, or I wouldn't be mentioning any of the drama in this comment. I say, "sort of", because Randy let everyone know a couple of days after that pay back episode that he is pretty much a liberal Democrat by agreeing with one of his viewers (not even a member) about having voted for Beijing Biden before and having no problems voting for him again. That was more than enough for me to cancel my +1 year long membership I had with his channel. I still respect Randy for being a fighter (literally) and for his hard earned wisdom and decades long experience in the Pro Bass Fishing World. I really liked his simple and insightful approach.
But, he probably still leans left because of what George W did to our country's economy and reputation, and hasn't gotten over it.
That definitely does not mean Ben is any better politically, as you mentioned. I was made aware of his liberal democrat perspective more than a year ago, when he mentioned how much he loved LaChina James of the LA Lakers. I never really liked Ben's disrespectful Bipolar and vicious attitude anyway. All he did was prove that he really had no redeeming qualities this past year.
Since then, I could care less about either of their opinions on anything, and blocked their channels from my stream.

I would encourage you to ditch the political litmus test. Someone with opposite political views does have useful things to say.
That being said, Randy proclaims that only the conservation agencies should have access to FFS so they can properly manage fish populations. Then, in the next sentence or next video, he lays into those same agencies who aren't doing enough to restrict tournaments or development and hurting fish populations. Many I know who align with Democrats have this same thinking - the government ought to have more power, while also complaining that the government does a poor job in managing 2 or 3 dozen other programs or agencies.
@@ryanvannice7878 I understand the political implications, but at this point in history, after all the hypocrisy and projection from the left (which I used to be a part of) I think it's only appropriate considering they are the ones that made their political naivety a part of their branding.
As far as my take on Randy's views on FFS are concerned, which I should have been more forthcoming with but simply neglected to do so, I believe he's being more authoritarian than he thinks. I do agree with him in regards to limiting its usage in tournaments however.
It does even the playing field, despite the fact that the playing field does not deserve to be evened out. The acclaim and financial gains bestowed on tournament winners were meant to reward merit, having been proven by ones abilities in direct competition against the best in the country, and beyond any reasonable doubt. INSTEAD, LiveScope has evened the playing field so much it robs an angler of the benefits of hard earned knowledge and life long experiences, in regards to Top End Professional Tournament Angling. I'm certain the statistics are there in plain site when comparing the average performance of a KVD level angler before and after the popularity of FFS turned into a RECOGNIZED DEPENDENCY for Professional tournament Anglers.
When it comes to private usage, I think we agree on it being up to conservation focused state institutions to determine its legality and/or regulation being based on evidence and the public interest.
When it comes to Mr. Miliken.... I think his duplicitously aggressive attitude and blind acceptance of technology, over historical context and established tradition, has crossed the line in regards to (what were once called) basic decency, professionalism, and mutual respect. If Ben was not sponsored by a major tackle label (through equity or not) and considered by the Pro Tournament Industry as a possible messiah that might save it from it's own inability to overcome the "technology" that has "robbed" it of its premium cable television audience, the lack thereof would have been labeled onto his personal branding by the exact same institutions long ago, reflecting a conservative market's perception of him.
The arrogance and shamelessness displayed by him only supersedes any liability he may have incurred solely on his own for slandering a life long respected member of the industry he claims to be representing. THAT, I CANNOT TAKE SIDES WITH AT ALL!

His being a college graduate warranted much more objectivity simply for the purpose of making a valid argument. Instead, he attacks with juvenile emotion and gestures to portray a sense of transparency. As if he could justify the childish, low hanging fruit, disparagements towards an entire generation by default, that we all had to witness in this small ecosphere that we call a sport.
At the very least, Ben should take advantage of the timing in regards to what has already been called for by the audience, and even the host of this channel;

Even if just to prove to his followers he can compete at a professional level without being completely dependent on Livescope/FFS (aka "technology"), he needs to back up his words with action. Only then could I recognize his reputation as being redeemable. Where has the honor gone for his generation? The same place their identities and reputations have gone? The trash heap of anonymity, unaccountability, and irresponsibility?

While i couldn't care less about who's living rent free in who's head...Anyone that thinks this technology will not cause a serious decline in fish populations, really has no intelligence and/or common sense...it's very obvious what's going to happen to the future of fishing....while I'm in my 40's, the rapid decline of fish populations & the sport will not likely effect me too bad...A real shame for those younger, all the way down to future anglers...the sport of fishing has reached its peak & will be heading towards a thing of the past, thx to technology..Spot lighting, cheating, whatever you choose to call FFS, isn't fishing & will decimate a resource that's not unlimited like some anglers believe..Seems Randy gets it, and guys like Ben do not...Fishing's a privilege & should be respected as such...The greed of companies like Garmin will attract the anglers, who really don't respect the sport & are just living the moment with no regards to the quality & future of fishing

Milikins statistics are pretty much worthless. He has no stats on the delayed mortality of bass. Randy is truly concerned about the future of our sport.
Havent seen Bens content. Randy gets tiresome and leans on opinion and anecdotes heavily. I dont know what Randy's motivations are, but i think there is some concern for the long term health of bass fishing. It's not like man hasnt used new technology or methods to decimate animal populations in the past, e.g., the buffalo.

I later ran into Randy at the Branson West WalMart. He was there on a non-appearance, but parked on the sidewalk against the front of the store and then hung out in front of the check stands expecting an excited mob? I was wearing my Skeeter hat and stopped by to ask if he was there for the BFL and just said yes with no smile or welcoming vibe. I said good luck and he kinda shrugged like he didn’t need it? He finished in 78th place! 😂

I will disagree, Ben is living rent free in Randy's head, no question. Randy has become irrelevant on any circuit simply because he refuses to adapt and grow. Rather than improve himself he attacks others who do. Randy's content has become nothing more than a whining platform for those who can't afford or can not understand how to use modern technology.

I do think that it helps a lot of anglers. John Cox for example is one who doesn't use it and he has not been as dominate. Having said that, the anglers who really know it, are performing better. The tournament here on Toho for the kids just happened and it was the first time that FFS played a huge role for the top anglers. Cheers and tight lines.
