Far too many reasons to list here but a start: - The QX is significantly more capable - The QX is more robust - The QX is a more thoroughly modern design from an engineering standpoint - The QX is FAR better to drive both on and off road
@Littleathquakes This episode was shot at Nissan's Arizona Test Center which is their proving grounds. As such, the signs are labeled in both English and Japanese.
I have one of these and absolutely love it. You have to get it in black or white, not this ugly green. Black and white really show off how beautiful it is.
I love my Titan but want something classier. This is it for sure. Are there many good aftermarket parts available? Like do the Nissan Patrol parts usually bolt right up?
went in to check out the lx570 and i end up with a 2012 qx56. Why? MPG and performance, technology package and $10k less. i got the exact color with every option available. Love it.
@Malik Martin I guess i'm lucky that i don't need to worry about the depreciation values. As for 4x4, haven't let me down with all the crazy trail i've been to.
@Malik Martin meh, back in Dec 2011, the LX cost 30k more, when all options are added, but didn't offer any where near the options the QX provides. I prefer functionality over brand loyalty any day. Towing 26ft and 18ft boat and 24ft toy hauler, check. Took a dare to follow a wide body raptor going off road and succeed, check. Able to stop abruptly to watch a Subaru slide across in front of me, priceless. I'll just have the parts ship when they pull out of N America. But then again, I guess i'm lucky that I haven't need any parts from the dealer yet after 8 years and 7 months with 64053 miles. Couldn't be happier with the QX.
@@jerb9254 The car has been pretty solid for me. Haven't have any issues. Got two recall that was done by the dealer while I waited so I don't think it was major. Only thing I replace in the vehicle is the tires and the battery. I'm still on the original brake pads and rotors. Hmm, I'm still on the same coolant and fluids except for the engine oil. I do change the oil every 6000 miles. As for the trail, I'm happy with all the trail I took it with me and it haven't let me down. I did do my homework on the trail before I decided to take it though.
And when that air suspension system goes (and it will) replace it with conventional you can I have a 2012 and my rear air suspension was bad truck was sagging real bad and out of the dealers mouth was he said they are meant to fail and if you can convert them do so because it will cost well over 2,000 and they cats are known for acting up in these ,fix them, keep premium gas ,and the best oil along with any preventative maintenance and it will last
@ never owned an infiniti, quite frankly, cant afford it. But speaking of air suspension, I had them on a Toyota Prado 2005 and God they were horrible offroad. All 4 blew up the first time I took the car offroad, got them changed next day and when back to try them out and they blew out again. Changed to springs and shocks after that. Can live without the height control as long as the car can go offroad. I think the inifiniti is more of a luxury car and air suspensions let you select height control which is a luxury, is it good at offroading? in my experience with toyotas, no. btw raptors have air suspensions too, i think they call then fox suspensions or something and they’re better.
woow motoman !!! u should make more videos like this i'm ur freakin fan, me gustan tus videos amigou! estan super chidos sube mas me encantan u r unique!
Does it have the bump steer as the old ones , I had and only kept it for 2 weeks , in the market for a new suv I have a range rover supercharged now looking to at qx or gl
Honestly I'm not big on SUVs, especially when they weight 6000 pounds, that's a pretty obscene amount of weight. But one thing I hate is an SUV that can't handle the rough stuff, good to see that the QX can.
Seriously going to blow 1/4 of me and my wife's monthly income to purchase this thing in the summer of 2012.. I like the Range Rover but at that price.. I would need a real people mover that would retain some off road capability and luxury. The Toyota Sequoia just doesn't offer this level of refinement and safety, You folks know what I'm talking about!? Intelligent brake assist, lane departure avoidance etc. This SUV to me is more valuable than any Range Rover or Toyota(Lexus) .
Absolutely. Perhaps look at used Nissan Armada - not the Titan pickup based generation - the one based on the Patrol. You might save a couple of bucks and get a newer car with less miles.
Strong car and I do not exist any kind of services in Saudi Arabia, a bankrupt company there are no services for the maintenance and lack of spare parts
ok, if i had three i would for sure go off roading in one. but in this economy if i'm able to buy a car like this one i am not going to risk trashing it
This is very nice man. But u take sooo long to just get to the point. Geez. I came to see some off roading. Not for you to get out and teach the history of it. Didn't you already talk enough b4 starting out? Good grief. Relabel your video to "off road lessons" or something like that. So people like me can bypass and get to the vids we wanna see. Action, less talking and teaching.
this car is much much better than any of its german rivals and better than lexus because lets face it, lexus is boaring. this car will last forever and will most likely have no mechanical problems, i have an infiniti FX35 from 2005 and i have had no problems with it in the whole 6 years
@Johncarson9113 so yeah BMW's 200,000 model recall just proves your point! They are about as reliable and luxurious as toyota :P man I wish I had your G37 to spank a 3 series anytime :)
@djmumagmusic my cousin had a BMW... I would not call that luxury unless you purchased a 7 series or something... everything was firm, seats, ride etc. Plus the Dull red tachometers got really boring. You just by into that belief that everything made imported is better.
@Phobboi Hahaha I dont you but just wanted to say your comment gave me a good laugh. I was drinking water when I read this....so you do the math lol. That was partially the reason for replying back ;)
@djmumagmusic One: You probably dont own a BMW as the majority of you BMW heros aspire to only have one rather then actually own one from experience. Two: If only you knew the history of a person before judging what they have had and have. I already has a 2007 BMW 328i, I traded it in in 2009 for a G37 sedan. The 3 series was nice while it lasted but it lacked everything the G37 Already had, BMW makes good looking cars but thats about it, I had elcetrical failures in the 1st year alone.
@MrBalla211 What your saying is irrelevant, your comparing High performance engines in the BMW M-series division against a standard Infiniti vehicle. Infiniti is the only luxury manufacturer for that fact in both the German & Japanese luxury market that comes close to the performance & driving dynamics of a BMW. The only difference is Infiniti offers you that in any entry class vehicle in their line up opposed to BMW where in order to receive such power you must opt for a car surpassing $60K
Far too many reasons to list here but a start:

This new QX is such an improvement over it's predecessor. Styling wise, I like it. Congratulations Infiniti for making a great SUV
@Shockate This episode was filmed in the Arizona desert!
Nice! the luxury with the off road capabilities love it! Love Infiniti cars
My new favorite SUV, plain and simple.
@Littleathquakes This episode was shot at Nissan's Arizona Test Center which is their proving grounds. As such, the signs are labeled in both English and Japanese.
I wish I saw more SUVs lookin nice and dirty like this one
it means the owner is using it properly
Great review. Most of your reviews are about specific cars and details that I'm interested in. Keep up the good work.
Great job MotoMan! By far the best car show I've ever seen :)
we might get one in the future because its a body on frame not those weak uni body suv
what a "fancy" tank!!!
Feels good to watch a full episode after so much (well not that much) waiting!
I love these videos 🤝 Put these vehicles to the ultimate test🤞🍻
This is one of our earliest episodes:) Happy New Year!
nice review - first time on this chaannel - subscribed ! love the format
I have one of these and absolutely love it. You have to get it in black or white, not this ugly green. Black and white really show off how beautiful it is.
The QX56 can flat out beat the G37 hands down
in towing, yes.
I love my Titan but want something classier. This is it for sure. Are there many good aftermarket parts available? Like do the Nissan Patrol parts usually bolt right up?

First rule change your tires

@MotoManTV you are right, i really dont know why i said it wasnt lol,and i live in Az.
Ilove this truck it's different and so far I don't know anyone who has one but I'm looking foward to maybe purchasing one in 2011
@Phobboi Actually, the brick's only holding up a fraction of the weight. Most of the weight is on the other tires.
Amen... Take them off-road! I want to see some new rigs on the trails...
What an excellent Review. Very informative and fun to view.
@grandtheo You would be wrong . . . Just outside of Maricopa, Arizona.
@Phobboi actually it doesn`t support that much because the vehicle doesn`t stay only on that brick
i really liked this vid , and subscribed immediately
Does it have the bump steer as the old ones , I had and only kept it for 2 weeks , in the market for a new suv I have a range rover supercharged now looking to at qx or gl
why would you prefer the infiniti qx56 2012 or the lexus lx570 2012 ?
This giant is the best in its class in the market
As with anything in life . . . it's all in the delivery & timing . . .
I absolutely love my 2008 model!
The QX has a bit of a bark to it - like a V8 should - but it is not like the VQ engine family.
I have this car 2011 QX56. I bought 4WD, and I wonder when I'm actually going to take this beast for some off-roading.....
Honestly I'm not big on SUVs, especially when they weight 6000 pounds, that's a pretty obscene amount of weight. But one thing I hate is an SUV that can't handle the rough stuff, good to see that the QX can.
Does have locking differential feature?
Bought one 2wks ago love the shit out of it
How was owning it ? Is it reliable?
@@netjedaiall u gotta do is the maintenance.
Does this qx56 have a sporty sound like most infiniti's for example the jx35

@@MotoManTV Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Actually the QX56 is more cheaper than the Armada/Patrol in the place where I live. Crazy isn't it.
@@MotoManTVthis thing it's reliable. ???
Look up the stats, the engine is bulletproof both the armada vk56de and this vk56fk @el_pelon.1985
I would have to disagree . . . Most people do very much realize this is based on the Nissan Patrol.
Very nice video. :D
Yes I agree. The QX is a lot nicer and more capable for the price. The Lexus LX is over hyped and over priced for what it offers.
8:00 I'm sold. That brick can hold up a 6000 lb SUV. Where can I get one?
Oh ok , but I was interred in the jx35 but wanted a full size suv and this Infiniti caught my eyes but I wanted something that sounds sporty.
there is so much dirt on this thing its madness!!!!
Thank you for the quick reply. :-) !
I think it is sexy
And I don't see how the Nissan test track outside of Maricopa is secret. I see these cars drive thru my town every morning.

People don't even realize that this is just a Nissan Patrol underneath.
@Faisal12376 For Real ??
and why would one go for the lexus lx 570?
Better than minivan at off-road, but still all those fancy- schmancy...
if this is in Arizona, why does the sign for the course have Chinese writing on it??
@djmumagmusic And BMW puts a lot of attention on making sure there price is around USD $10,000 more.... so you get what you pay for (:
As far as I can see . . . because they REALLY need to have the 'L' badge on the hood . . .
I don't know about you all but every new SUV I see makes me wish the metal and resources were used for something else.
i like the old model better
japanies are best,No 1 in suvs No 1 in luxury and No 1 in sports cars like GTR and LFA.
why there's japanese words on the road sign...? nice car but i love jeep.
