I remember back in the late 90's there was a club we used to go to in Downtown L.A. They changed the club name every week depending on what type of music they played. Anyway, a nephew of mine was supposed to meet us there, so I told him to meet us at The Blue Oyster Club as a joke and to ask around where it was. Well he did ask around, he asked many people if they know where the Blue Oyster Club was and everyone laughed at him. He wasn't too happy when he finally met us inside the club. Someone told him what that was. I can't believe he hadn't heard of the Blue Oyster! To this day, we still make fun of him.

In addition, don't forget the 90s. The 90s killed the 80s. A new generation always imposes itself upon the previous generation. We age. I was a kid & a teenager in the 80s and young man in the 90s. Both decades were a blast. In the millenium I was still relatively young but had money to do more mature things like traveling for fun & that decade was also a blast. Now I'm one of those middle aged guys me and my friends used to make fun of but at least I'm not miserable in marriage like most of my friends lol. So now I'm into classic american muscle cars and hot rods and ratrods.

The two crewcuts guys: Blankes and Copeland, who get a real police haircut, clippered in the start of the movie. Scott Thomson and Brent Hoffman danse with bums in this bar and they have fun to make this scene!

Funny thing, there was a Sea Food- Salad bar in the 70s and 80s in Houston called the Blue Oyster Bar. Use to be off the Gulf Freeway between Broadway and Bellfort exit. Now its a carpet and tile place.
