Thank you for this vid. I'm planning on buying a FJ early next year and these headlights are amongst my first planned mods for it. I was afraid the install would require some wiring but it's straight plug and play which is a relief.
Nice video! I bought the same lights from Aliexpress but I have run into a problem. My Fj is 2016 Japanese RHD import. The original OEM lights have an addition bulb in the bottom of the light. and these are called side lights and come on the first click of the stalk. So that's three connectors for the OEM lights. I don't have the DRL option. The replacement lights must be for your US Market. I will have to rewire them to use the side light connector for the halos. Over my short ownership I have come to realise there are a lot of differences between the US and JDM models.
I worked it out! The halio connection was in third connection on the indicator plug. I ran a new wire from their to the side light plug and they work exactly the same as yours.
@@designtime3469hey I think I am having the same issue on mine. My headlights and indicators work but I can't get the parking light or the startup sequence to work. Can you please tell me what you did to fix this?
@@mattomeara65 I de-pinned the plug and replaced it with a male female connection you only need a single wire the lights are already earthed. You will need some pins and a crimping tool and some pin extracted set.
I have a problem, I don't know if you had the same one. When I start the car, even though the light and the DRL are off, the main headlight light turns on automatically.
I installed these lights on my 07 fj today. They look amazing!!! I disconnected the day time running lights. However, now my side mirror lights don't come on. I'm guessing they are tied into the day light running lights? How did you get yours to work?

how long do these last? What if one turn signal does not work? Do you have to replace the whole thing?

A flashlight would be better than the original lights. This vehicle has the worst headlights I've ever owned.
The high beams are CRAZY bright. I have them on my own FJ.

That's weird. The side mirror lights shouldn't be connected to the daytime running lights. I have my DRL disconnected and my mirror lights still work.
