It's almost like Poland is building a massive land army with plenty of tanks, artillery and other stuff that can't be transferred from abroad easily while relying on it's many allies to provide air support, ammo and fuel supplies, satellite recon etc.
@@liquidrock8388 yeah, although it needs to br emphasized - no nato army save maybe France (to an extent) is truly self reliant. By design, they are all built to support and be supported by the USA. Maybe that changes in the future maybe not. Would not exactly be great for the Americans to no longer have Europeans dependent on them
@@liquidrock8388 Poland have very poor logistics based on fleet 1980's trucks and also now mess with 3 types of MBT's. The difference is when Poles may laugh at state of "in-repair" vehicles of Bundeswehr, the German "faults" may be just non-fuctional lights in military equipment due their regoristic checks. Compared to that, in Polish army, is popular cannibalism of vehicles and barely working military equipment used till it itself get cannibalised for parts to other vehicles.
@liquidrock8388 Poland does have a decent number of their own technology - IFV and AFV Borsuk, Rosomak, Bóbr, Self propelled artillery 155mm Krab, as well as some rocket launchers Piorun, Grad, anti tank grenades Komar, and machine guns Grot. However it does lack heavy weaponry such as tanks, fighter aircraft, helicopters... it has to get those from outside and that doesn't help with developing their own technology.

How about a hypothetical 2030 Polish/Baltic States vs Russia match-up (assuming Ukraine WAr ends by 2026, taking in into account what we now know of the quality of Russian armed forces?
it would be a very hard video to make, are we assuming the definitive end of the the ukraine war and a russian army rebuilt and learned from the war lessons ? and poland plus baltic states vs russia with the rules stated in this video ? if yes for both then it is hard not to see a russian victory.

I would subtract 10 million people from Germany because immigrants would definitely not fight for this country, and besides, there are 1 million Poles in Germany, so they would sabotage the economy in 1 month 😂
You shoud not be too sure for that. If your famely live in Germany and all your friends you would not want to come the war to your houses. Most people just would wait it to be over, and that would be quick
@@daha1214 They don't feel loyalty towards Germany. They don't see it as their home. When first bombs fall, they will simply enter cars and ride away to safest place. They are not even slightly assimilated, don't feel loyalty towards their closest neighbors, so thinking they will pick up rifles and risk their own lives for Germany is just ridiculous and asinine.
Actually, its not even just subtraction. That is negative 10 million people, those are 10 million people that would help Germany's enemies because they are Germany's enemies. The people that take advantage of Germany are Germany's biggest haters. The average invader from the Middle East has an extreme disdain for German blood, culture, and religion. They love what German's make but hate the Germans themselves. These people would help Poland then turn around and do the same to Poland too.
Poland bought few satellites already and will buy more. In 2023 we bought 2 French satellites, in 2024 we bought 4 Polish ones and we plan to buy at least 3 more in 2025/26. French ones were optical, and future Polish ones will be SAR.
According to a Gallup International survey conducted in late 2023, the willingness to fight for one's country varies significantly between Poland and Germany. In Poland, approximately 60% of respondents expressed readiness to defend their nation if a war arose. In contrast, only about 43% of Germans indicated a willingness to do the same.

Half of the German troops would desert before the first fighting. Most German soldiers choose this profession because they just want to spend the whole day drinking beer and earning easy money and always assumed that they would not have to fight. And a large part of the stocks are unusable, despite an annual budget of 50 billion and an additional special budget of 100 billion.
Dont wanna hate u bro, but ur facts and numbers even for the current situations dont add up, beginning with Poles having many k9s already and getting some basically every month, air defence about to be the strongest in Europe so germany having few more f35s wouldnt matter, skipping sea part is a total mistake since both countries base on sea transport of goods, gas etc (even tho germany has way bigger navy). And maaaany maaaany more. Worth to add germany has smaller army already, dunno where did u get these sizes from, just like the fact that polish artillery is mostly old, most of old stuff went to ukraine and has been replaced with k9s, krabs, himars and chunmoo beginning to flow
This is more like listening to a comedy. Each time u state that “Germany plans” or “Germany is scheduled”, im forced to laugh. Germany never Has a problem saying anything its when it actually comes to Action she seems to stumble over her own feet. Sad statement to be forced to admit
Oh god I forgot about this old series, I loved it so much. The reason I started watching this channel in the beginning, I also the real world talk about recent things going on, but the hypothetical wars against countries is so good! I love the UK vs France one hehe.
"Kept their balls"? Let's set the record straight. During the Cold War, East Germany had the second most formidable army in the Eastern Bloc, second only to the Soviet Union. On the other side, West Germany had one of the largest and most capable land armies in Europe. Both were heavily armed, well-trained, and highly competent. The idea of a demilitarized Germany is relatively new and largely stems from external pressures, particularly from Poland and France, after reunification. Agreements made during this period required Germany to significantly reduce the size of its military. This, combined with a new vision of a peaceful future, initiated a rapid process of demilitarization. In just a decade, Germany transitioned from having one of the largest and best-equipped armies to a smaller, professional force. Today’s Bundeswehr is designed primarily for peacekeeping and intervention missions-a direct result of reforms implemented in the early 2000s. However, Germany has recently started implementing significant reforms to shift back toward defensive capabilities. While Poland’s military is indeed competent, so is Germany’s. If Germany maintains its current momentum, it’s well-positioned to reclaim its role as a military leader in Europe. As for Poland "keeping their balls," it’s worth noting that they spent much of the last 70 years as a Soviet puppet state. In this context, the statement seems rather misplaced.
Love these comparison and hypothetical scenario’s! Would love to see more of these again. Maybe also try scenario’s with multiple countries involved, for example Turkey, N. Cyprus Azerbaijan, Qatar & Libya vs Greece, Israel, Egypt & Cyprus.
I feel like not acknowledging casualty tolerance makes this basically pointless. The ethnically German Germans would probably feel some discomfort with this conflict, and the Polish serious motivation to not capitulate. I can't see any German politician convincing the Germans that 100,000 sacrifices against Russia would be worthwhile. I can't think of a Pole who would not riot were a politician to suggest German occupation of Poland.
These scenarios are restricted. They always have been. As you can see in Ukraine, there is always outside help. While in a scenario like this, Russia would have won by grinding themselves away at the Ukrainians. In real life they cannot even mobilize their population to do that.
@@yu6387t3d I'm aware, but even for fun hypotheticals casualty tolerance is an extremely important factor in military calculation because it determines the doctrine of the respective forces. Doctrine is kind of important when deciding who is going to win a battle. French military doctrine atm actually hard counters German for example, so I would not expect equal forces to come off equally damaged in an engagement. Part of who gains control of the air is determined by who is willing to suffer pilot casualties to air defenses for example. In both Gulf wars the US pilots were much more willing to take risks than the British pilots therefore had a much greater per-capita effect despite being equally skilled and flying roughly comparable aircraft.
If Germany and Poland go to war, the Bundestag will still be trying to pass funding when the Poles reach Berlin 😂😂😂 Germany is like a Porsche that is all held up by VW parts and bondo.
Poland has prepared for a war since 1990, even more so since 2014. Germany has not. The Bundeswehr would run out of artillery ammunition in a week if not sooner. They lack spare parts, modern radios, you name it. Logistcs is for peacekeeping and peacetime only. Staff officers have not prepared for a total war. Maximum battalion size operations are properly trained for. After two weeks German forces would have lost their mobility, offensive capability and artillery while Poland would be gearing up to full steam.
I think this channel consistently overplays air power. Given the Poles’ advantage in AWACS and SAMs, German air power would be essentially a non-factor. Both sides would be restricted to largely defensive postures in the air. The ground war is where it’s at, in this case.
Poland has more air power too... The vast majority of German Typhoons are inoperable, and the few that are only have enough missiles to fly a handful of missions. It's the same with their tanks and submarines. The German military is the joke of NATO.
@@NotUnymous If you're going to tell me I'm clueless, at least do it with proper spelling. To put it in another context, Russia has struggled to leverage its superior air power against Ukraine due to air defenses. It took them about two years to figure out a system that works (and the solution was glide bombs, which weren't even mentioned in this video). If Russia is struggling to turn superior numbers into meaningful air dominance, I don't have any reason to believe that Germany would have an easier time with it.
I don’t think so. Airpower has won wars. Israel has demonstrated what air superiority can do. The first gulf war also. Assad was able to hold of the rebels with his ramshackle air force. NATO defeated Serbia primarily on air power. Russia is suffering in Ukraine because they don’t have air superiority. Many examples of this.
@@gj1234567899999 Except Ukraine vs Russia, those are all examples with massive force disparity. Germany and Poland are near-peer adversaries. Polish air defense crews are better trained, more organized, and have higher morale than Saddam Hussein’s army. Nor is the Luftwaffe as experienced as the USAAF. Air power CAN be decisive, but only if one side has enough of an advantage to exploit it.
Something that should be modeled is the numbers of "Foreign Agents"in each country - particularly for Germany. Of the military aged males in Germany, how many will either not fight for Germany or will be active saboteurs? Specifically - How many of the recently arrived "Doctors and Engineers" will join the German Army?
More ethnic German Greens would be a threat to the German war effort. They see the greenhouse gas emitted by German tanks as a greater threat than the Russian armed forces.
Well Polish army in 2024 is around 200k troops with around 40k teritorial army, i don't know where do you get 5500 teritorial army and 62k polish army it's way too low
He only counts combat/frontline troops for both sides, not support troops. Unless Poland wants to send their field kitchen staff or field hospital staff into the trenches on day one they are not available for immediate combat. A modern army is at most 1/3 actual combat troops, so 62k combat troops out of 200k total army manpower is pretty realistic. Don't know how you missed it, otherwise the German army would be ridiculously small as well :D
I think the German Caliphate still has great potential. However, the economic situation is getting worse every year. There is no indication that Berlin will be in a better situation in 5 years
This video is very tasteless in my opinion. Our polish neighbours are doing a great job military and economical wise. From sworn enemies to friends essentially and I don´t say that because they could easily wipe the floor with our piss poor underfunded military in Germany but also because they are in general nice people and our greatest achievement together is peace.
Tasteless? 😂 It's just a "what-if" by the numbers comparison of forces with no footing in the real world. I'm not sure that the Polish forces, however well-funded and motivated they may be, would "wipe the floor" with our soldiers. That does their training, efforts and equipment injustice. Regardless of finding your assessment of the current state of the German military off the mark (and yes, they could do with better funding and more political support), I do agree with your and the Polish colleague's statement that we are strong allies, and "The enemy is in the East".
There are two things that might change the outcome: the internal migrant issue that Germany is facing (but this can also act as a possible advantage if you convince a large military aged group of man to join your cause -- to be detailed down below) and who is US going to support more... Even if US is officially neutral, just like in WW2 is going to support more one of the belligerents if US decides to support Poland (which is more probable at this moment) than it is quite possible that Germany might find itself without the ability to maintain or even get more US-based weapons and ammo (especially missiles) while Poland might be beneficiary of the entire US military industrial complex. One final issue for Germany might be its aging population. While Poland suffers from aging issues, also, it population pyramid is concentrated around 30 - 49 age segment while Germany has most of its population split between two groups: 30 - 49 (where is somewhat on par with Poland) and 55 to 65 which contain considerably more people than the 30 -49 group and for all intents cannot be used as troops in a war. An interesting observation is about what is going on in the 15 - 30 years segment. Poland has about 4 million man in this segment while Germany has about 6.5 million man in this segment, however while most Polish in this group are natives and most-likely can be called to arms, Germany has a lot of migrants from all over Europe and outside of it in this age-group which might imply that is, likely, that a good part of this group might not answer a call to arms...
You guys really dont have any div that is ready to go to combat in less than 24h? We have like 1 and half + airborne troops wich are essentialy first responders when war starts
I'm glad you've started doing future projected videos. Maybe do a scenario with Australia attempting to take French Caledonia in 2035. The French get a tip off to station a load of troops there first. Could be interesting to see if the New Australian navy could bat on with the French Navy (Australia should have more VLS than the French by 2040) and the Army is buying a large naval fleet of Amphibious boats, to add onto Australia's Navy's Amphibious force which is already heavier than the French's. Will the French Carrier give them air superiority or can the Australian Air Force's tanker fleet get Australia's F-35's there from the mainland?
And this is exactly the kind of western NATO mindset that differentiates both of our nations from the likes of russia. We are much more willing to note our deficiencies and hence try to fix them.

All polish FA-50 should have AESA radar (Raytheon PhantomStrike) and ability to carry and use AIM-120 AMRAAM by 2029. Other thing is their nominal engine power, thrust, size and payload they can carry (a lot smaller jets). So i would rather call them light multirole, more similar to Grippen, than light attack (in 2029, as i have said).

Absolutely. That said, Polish forces would be pissing into The Spree while saying "this is for you, grandfather" inside 3 weeks... The German military is a bad joke. They had to borrow our spare NVG's, and we had to give them GPMG ammo at NATO exercises FFS. It was ridiculous, because it's not like the exercise was a last minute surprise or anything. Blinkov uses paper strength. Not ACTUAL strength. In real life the Polish military ACTUALLY has the equipment ready to go, whereas the Germans have most of their stuff broken down in depots, and only have enough missiles for a handful of sorties for their VERY few functional Typhoons. Conversely, the Polish aircraft are actually functional, and they actually have adequate weapons to use them.

@mrhonkhonk6116 Noup we dont. For years we have affairs about lack of helmets for soldiers that was using steel helmets from 60s and now they are getting modern helmets
Perhaps you could do a video on why the European powers were able to mobilize hundreds of thousands of troops within a month of the outbreak of war in 1914, and now it is a few tens of thousands within several months. I understand the technological requirements for mobilization were lower 100 years ago, but the technological capabilities are higher today. Why couldn't Germany and Poland mobilize one million troops each within a month if war broke out in 2029?
Countries in 1914 had massive stockpiles of weapons on top of consistently large weapon purchases for decades and thus a very large armaments industry. They also had large standing armies and decades of military buildups and uninterrupted institutional warfighting experience going back hundreds of years. Modern armies simply do not have a million guns on hand. They do not have millions of uniforms or food for a million men. Not only this but they also lack the manufacturing capability to produce any of this in a timely manner. It will be decades before the peace dividend cuts are replaced. Most countries in Europe are entirely dependent on the US for supplying any of this in case of war.
On a much more realistic side: make a prediction as under: 2029 Poland+Germany combined against 2029 Ruzzia combined with.... hehe probably nobody. (Maybe Mali or Burkina Faso)
German here, I'm glad this is a hypothetical war and our two countries are firmly allied. Even more so that Poland is geared up to be a significant military powerhouse that serves as a good deterrence against Russia.
I would say rather good job with preparing all informations and doing calculations but variant of war You choose is kinda... Strange to say it at least. I would have suggestion for You to maybe try a bit different format and to turn it into two separated options (or even two videos if needed as I expect it may take even more time and work to prepare). Long story short: Lets leave calculations as they are for both sides and skip question as to "why?" since it is clearly theoretical scenarios. But instead of war where both sides just kinda aimlessly shoots into each other lets see those two instead: 1) Germany attacks first. What are chances, biggest obstacles and possible goals (solid part was already told here. Prolonged war to slowly grind down enemy and win thru better and bigger economy and resource pool). 2) Poland attacks first. And same here. There are clear disproportions in some categories that could be used in this gamble, to achieve... What exactly? In this case the best bet would be probably switch mass attack with heavy support of tanks, arty and rockets to get important points in range of things like JASSM and other long range strike. Or maybe there could be other potential things? The best if both comes with probable cost of such campaign and then final answer that I can already expect: Would it be worth all the loses? This of course not change how improbable such cases are, but would be much more clear as to why exactly, and much more interesting since You will be able to tap bit more into how different types of weapons and vehicles could be utilized, instead of: Yeah, this is a new tank, and this one is just older and not so capable...
In your detailed analysis please don't forget: the german Vergaberichtlinen, the german Baurecht, the german compliance-Regelungen, the german Berater- und Gutachtereinbeziehung, the german Umweltrecht, the german EU-Recht, the german Anti-Diskriminierungsgesetzgebung, the german Arbeitsschutzgesetze and many more facts that won't make Germans Army ready until 2129. A few corrections: 1. Poland bought Pleiades Neo satellites from France. 2. Abouth a month ago Poland bought MQ-9B SkyGuardian UAVs to replace loaned Reapers. 3. In 2029 Poland is about to have 212 Krab howitzers, not 100 (there will be some delays probably, but not so big). I have to agree, in a long term Germany would prevail (stronger economy and militaty production nearly always win in such scenario). Of course it is purely theoretical. In reality, German ammo's production would be very helpful for Poland if it has to defend itself from Russia. Also, Poland counts on NATO's rapid air forces support, which seems to be more likely than quick support of allied land forces. Polish armed forces are expanded for one and only reason - deterrence or defence from potential Russian invasion.
We're currently redesigning our forces to work better in tandem with the polish forces. So, while such comparisons are quite interesting, the likelihood of that war happening is 0%
A war between them is not the issue. The issue is how pathetic the German military is, relative to their size, wealth, and advanced economy. Add in the weak German will to fight, and even their inability to live up to their promises of military expansion circa 2022 and you understand why Europe would struggle to confront Russia without the USA. Conversely, much poorer Poland is likely to grow in importance for NATO.
@lazybear236 Russia and Germany had great economic relationship, despite the US puppets in the German government. Bavarian chamber of commerce was pushing hard for decades to drop the sanctions against Russia.
One thing. FA-50PL are getting AESA radars before F-16 giving them Aim-120 capabilities. In fact some polish military commentators are jokingly calling them AMRAM carriers and "loyal wingmen we have at home"
Why are polish people coping so hard in the comments? Dont be mad yalls, Germany and Poland are allies. No need to get angry about some hypothetical fight yall lost.
@Binkov A few corrections to this material. Deliveries of the second batch of Patriot batteries are to be completed in 2029. So in 2029 Poland should have a total of 8 Patriot batteries. By 2029 Poland should have one high-resolution surveillance satellite and four surveillance mini-satellites with lower parameters. The relevant agreements have already been signed in 2022 and 2024. It is still not certain whether the FA-50 light fighters will not be armed with the AIM-120. Negotiations with Korea Aerospace Industries, Raytheon, Lockheed - Martin, the Polish and U.S governments are still ongoing.
I think half of Germany would be opposed to defending themselves in a war against Poland. Something I never thought id say about the Germans. For half the population, It’s like nothing is worth fighting for if it requires giving money to the military
Since you cant know how many non natives would actually fight for the country theyre staying in, I suggest you wait until some actual data on that topic gets published instead of blindly making assumptions.
German victory? They can't even win against a few migrants, lmao. Polish people, in general, are stronger and have a strong love for their own country. Their patriotism is on another level. They would die for their country while Germans doesn't even care about there own nation if you look closely. Just look at Poland's history etc
@@Svevsky M3rl is right, by western standards they are right wing, but only because they have to still take into the account that polish electorate is quite conservative and doesnt like that disgusting leftist degeneracy and insanity.
In terms of the Air Force, Poland is in the process of selecting additional 38 fighter jets (F-15EX, Eurofighter, or KF-21 from South Korea). It is most likely to be the F-15EX or KF-21, provided the negotiations are successful. Recently, Poland has also been discussing wheeled self-propelled howitzers (which it currently does not have). You haven’t yet mentioned the additional vehicles that Poland will produce or purchase over the next four years For example, new minelaying vehicles (machines capable of laying mines over a significant area within 20 minutes). What you’ve shown will not reflect the state of Poland in 2029.
Today it is authorized to expand to 200k active soldiers. Authorized future strength is not actual strength today. It takes a while for newly passed legislation to become reality if indeed the legislation ever does become reality. I do believe Poland will achieve this, I do not believe Germany will achieve their goals by 2029.

It's almost like Poland is building a massive land army with plenty of tanks, artillery and other stuff that can't be transferred from abroad easily while relying on it's many allies to provide air support, ammo and fuel supplies, satellite recon etc.
Generally true, but Poland will have a lot of domestic made optic and SAR satellites, it's currently in progress.
@@liquidrock8388 yeah, although it needs to br emphasized - no nato army save maybe France (to an extent) is truly self reliant. By design, they are all built to support and be supported by the USA.

The thought of modern Germans fighting a large scale war is hilarious. At least the Poles kept their balls the last 70 years.
😮😂

In real life they cannot even mobilize their population to do that.
nobody is imagining poland and germany are going to war in 2029, its just a military comparison, mostly for fun.

I think you dont k wo what you're talking about. No offence.
As long as Russia isnt attacking Poland from the east
I doubt that they could resist the temptation

You should do NATO vs Russia in 2029

You forget to calculate, how many German would fight for the country and how many Polish.
German here, I'm glad this is a hypothetical war and our two countries are firmly allied. Even more so that Poland is geared up to be a significant military powerhouse that serves as a good deterrence against Russia.
Finally! Such a video! The sole reason I am subscribed to you.
Germany has massive Potential, however for zhe last 30 years the country naively demilitarized, resulting in the current weakness.
I would say rather good job with preparing all informations and doing calculations but variant of war You choose is kinda... Strange to say it at least. I would have suggestion for You to maybe try a bit different format and to turn it into two separated options (or even two videos if needed as I expect it may take even more time and work to prepare). Long story short:
Lets leave calculations as they are for both sides and skip question as to "why?" since it is clearly theoretical scenarios. But instead of war where both sides just kinda aimlessly shoots into each other lets see those two instead:
1) Germany attacks first.
Thanks.
A few corrections:
So, while such comparisons are quite interesting, the likelihood of that war happening is 0%
I.e. I am an American prostitute without a free will.
Can you do one on Mexico vs a united central america? ik neither would get a absolute victory but id love to see how far one side would get
Thanks
Germany is frienemy to us, not an Ally.
This is a common russian provocation. And Poles, as always, are very emotional. You can't change the nation's mentality.
"Allies"
Yeah for sure
Germany would have a hard time because of the enemy within.
AFD/BSW - but the enemy is still not Poland. ;)
@@tlamatintin7968 BSW is controlled opposition, and I'm optimistic but sceptical about the AfD. The enemy is everyone opposed to Germany for Germans
Being Polish, I hope to see a strong Germany. Poland requires powerful allies and a single border to secure.

I have serious doubts of Germany military readiness across the spectrum.
I think half of Germany would be opposed to defending themselves in a war against Poland. Something I never thought id say about the Germans. For half the population, It’s like nothing is worth fighting for if it requires giving money to the military
At this point its understandable. The German government hates Germans more than the Poles do.
Only native population is willing to fight. So in that Poland has a BIG advantage over Germany.
Since you cant know how many non natives would actually fight for the country theyre staying in, I suggest you wait until some actual data on that topic gets published instead of blindly making assumptions.
I think this kind of comparison is very new for many new viewers.
That's why the comments are so dramatic.
I want more of these types of videos
German victory? They can't even win against a few migrants, lmao. Polish people, in general, are stronger and have a strong love for their own country. Their patriotism is on another level. They would die for their country while Germans doesn't even care about there own nation if you look closely. Just look at Poland's history etc
Patriotism doesn't win wars, logistics and industry does.
Yes but polish people are also not very smart. brains win wars, not how much love you have for your country.

Wow 21st century Germany actually won in this Hypothetical War Game!?

In terms of the Air Force, Poland is in the process of selecting additional 38 fighter jets (F-15EX, Eurofighter, or KF-21 from South Korea). It is most likely to be the F-15EX or KF-21, provided the negotiations are successful. Recently, Poland has also been discussing wheeled self-propelled howitzers (which it currently does not have).
You haven’t yet mentioned the additional vehicles that Poland will produce or purchase over the next four years
For example, new minelaying vehicles (machines capable of laying mines over a significant area within 20 minutes). What you’ve shown will not reflect the state of Poland in 2029.
Why are Poles going to have so much smaller army than they have now? Today is over 200k active soldiers...
U have someone cleaning toiles as "soldier" contracted to military, because "reasons". Poland will never have more than 150k active soldiers.
@@Anakeishand you have broomsticks pretending to be machine guns. Germany doesnt have a proper military
Glad to see you get back to the type of content that I originally subscribed for. Thanks and more please!
Also, I'm quite surprised about the German military. I don't know why but I always assumed them to be a bigger player than the Turks or the French but it seems to be the other way around.
