Hi was wondering which spinners you use. I mostly use hard bodies like a rapala. But son is getting into fishing and can’t afford to lose a rapala each time while learning the craft😂.
For spinners, I use Mepps or Smith AR-S. Yes, Rapalas are my favorite, too and they work well. You can swap treble hooks into single hook to avoid getting snagged.
@ thanks heaps for your reply mate, how do you find the hook up once going to single hook? Heading to the Rubicon on Thursday with him, did the Acheron last week.
@@thedestroyer763 Doesn't change that much. One theory is that you have 66% less chance of a hooking, yet you have 3 times the force of one hook piercing for the hookup. I hope you had some luck on the river !
@@Harry_BFS actually went yesterday, just walked upstream from bridge where you turn left. Walked up past the school camp place. Got one nice fish, a nice brown. My son had some really nice hits from some quality fish, mainly at his feet and ended up dropping them. All in all was a great day, bloody hot by the end of it.
I’ve got the same rod I think. FSX-B502L Majorcraft finetail. Lovely rod.
Yes, up to Majorcraft finetail FSX is the same, and mine is B46/505UL, the switchable one. As you say, yes, it's a lovely rod.
