You guys wanted to see longer fights and I listened. Do you guys prefer these longer/full server fights? Or rather want shorter videos with just the best kills in those fights?
Hey! I’d prefer both, some long intense fights and 1-2 weekly highlights videos! Also willing to see educational content as you make. It’s just my opinion 😊
Fun fact, the Alamo used to be a little bit faster before this event. Back then, it was already considered the worst shotgun in the game. Crytek acknowledged that the Alamo was the worst shotgun in the game at that time, and then took away the only thing it had going for it, that being the fact that it was a faster firing Romero. Now it’s just a Romero that has the same firerate with a worse reload, so now there’s no point in taking the Alamo over the basic Romero, when before a point could be made about taking this over the basic Romero. Edit: Turns out they slowed the animation down because it didn’t match the actual firerate before, I did not know this and thought that they made the gun slower because the animation was slower. I was unaware that the animation before did not match the firerate. The gun still fires at the same speed, they just slowed the animation to match its firerate, which it didn’t match before. The gun now looks and feels slower, but it is not slower.
@@Whityyy because it's not the case, they slowed down the animation to match what the actual firing rate was - prior to the update you could 'complete' the cycling animation but still have an empty chamber because the animations were outpacing the actual mechanics of the gun
@@yockenwaithe9898 You can still kinda do that. I wish that they made the animations staged so that if you do cancel you don't have to do the whole thing again. Why do I have to keep ejecting an empty shell when I already did and put a new one in? There are a few other animations in the game that seem to be faster than the underlying logic. A big one for me is the vitality shots. You could be "done" with the animation of injecting and cancel the animation at the same time the need is getting pulled out and it won't count.
This isn't correct, if you actually time it you'll see the Alamo still has a cycle time of 2.8s which is the same as it always was. Normal Romero has a cycle time of 4s. Alamo is still faster. All they did was re-order the animation so it makes more sense.

The Alamo was my absolute favorite gun until they took away the satisfying cycle animation :( Edit: and I both started trying more weapons and got my hands on the Drilling.

The content train still goes strong, great video! The Alamo jank is real. It's cool mechanically, but the regular Romero feels almost as fast, has less mindfuckery with the jank, and you can swap ammo. That is my preference, if I had to play any of them.
the specter is a solid shotgun, I personally love it but the pump-action can screw you over sometimes when fighting multiple enemies at once (in comparison to a rival or crown)
basically because if you stop the cycle/reload animation at any point in time you have to start from the beginning again which especially as a shotgun player who swaps to his pistol a lot can screw you over a lot because sometimes you believe u have reloaded fully then whip out your alamo and u r in for a bad suprise. Also the fire rate is kinda bad in comparison to all other shotguns and it is only slighlty faster than just reloading a normal romero but comes at a much higher price point at which you could just buy better alternatives
It's a shotgun, it works just worse in comparison to most other shotguns like rival, crown, terminus with levering, specter, slate - while it still slaps like u see in the video it cant keep up with the others due to fire rate
For me it is - especially when u swap a lot to your secondary the alamo just fucks you over a lot since sometimes you unintentionally cancel the reload meanwhile on the normal romero as soon as the bullet is in the chamber the reload counts. On the alamo cancelling the animation before it went trough fully = do it again
The Alamo is definitely not the worst shotty, its either the terminus or rival. And before people say the terminus is good, I have had so many times where it simply doesnt one or even two shot my opponent.

Do you realise that the cycle animation on the Romero Alamo is bugged as of 1.13? Before 1.13 it was good.

Is the Alamo rechamber animation bugged? It feels off and as a result I've been shying away from playing it...
To me it's just hard to tell when the animation is fully done so I accidentally cancel it a lot and then gotta do the full animation again

Alamo is just faster Romero. Other versions have their own utility but calling the Alamo the worst is just untrue.
