MS Vesterålen, Hurtigruten on rough seas in Finnmark today, Oct.29, 2024

MS Vesterålen is a passenger vessel operated by the Norwegian-based Hurtigruten. The vessel was constructed in Harstad, Norway in 1983. She was refitted in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1989 to increase passenger capacity, and then later in 1995. As of 2010, the ship operates cruises primarily along the coast of Norway.[1][3]

Great video! Thanks a lot for sharing 😍We met MS Vesterålen in June 2018 near Svolvær when we were going north on MS Lofoten - but in very different conditions: clear blue skies, calm sea and the rough mountains of the Lofoten islands in the background 😍still the best trip I ever made! But I'd love to travel on MS Vesterålen one day, she is one of the "good old ones" in the Hurtigruten fleet. Regards from Austria 👋

@@rai_rides Yes, it was summer - we traveled from Bergen to Kirkenes from 28. June to 4. July 2018. My wife has made a film of that journey - including the meeting with MS Vesterålen: ruclips.net/video/ZaxkuYBuDNM/видео.html When I see these pictures today, I just can't believe I was there - Norway is simply magical 😍 It has always been a dream to travel on one of the classic old Hurtigruten ships and I am so glad I had the opportunity to travel on MS Lofoten - I think she left the Hurtigruten fleet soon after our trip (2020). The memories of this trip will always be a priceless treasure ❤
