Where was this video 5 years ago! Im so glad that you posted this video, so.....where do I begin.. I have had an issue for around 5 or 6 years with my left driver side rail. The soft top on my 2013 fiat 500c keeps a small gap on the left driver side and won't close into place. In the beginning it started out getting stuck and eventually making its way back to movement and closing. Then soon after it was stuck closed for maybe a year and then magically started working again on its own. Well as of about 4 years ago it stopped again. It hadn't moved at all since and is stuck slightly open on left side. The right side moves on tracks fine so you can imagine it will break itself if I allow the top to fully retract leaving the left stuck in place. I've taken it to mechanics all over town(just to be told they won't/can't work on it), searched the web high and low, reached out to online forums. No luck. The Fiat dealership I purchased the car told me it would be a "crazy amount" for them to repair, implying they didn't want to do it. I asked for a price and they roughly quoted that it would be around $5-$8k to repair. Money I don't have, so they attempted to close it for me for free and told me they may have to break it a little to do so. I stupidly signed allowing them to do that because the car wasn't worth putting 8K into and all I wanted at that point is for it to be closed. Well, they were unsuccessful in closing it or doing anything at all other than I guess more damage. It's been 4 years since the left rail stopped moving so when it rains it leaks into the car and onto me. YAY! lol. The car smells more and more like mildew from this issue no matter how much I try to keep it clean. Bugs also get in. You seem extremely knowledgeable in this specific issue that I am having so I have to ask. Do you have ANY advice on how to at least get the gap on the convertible top closed entirely without replacing the whole thing. I truly loved my fiat and wish I could replace the top but the cost to do so is just too high for a 2013 fiat with 190K miles on it. Thank You! :) -Matthew Ryan
Are you able to share the order you fed the parts back into the rails? Does the ratchet go ahead of the bow brackets, or does it go last? Thank you! Pulling my hair out trying to repair mine!
Hi my 500C has an issue where I open the front part of the roof the rear windscreen and spoiler will began to drop. It’s suppose to stay in place when the front of the roof is opened. Any idea what’s the issue?
Please send us an email with photos and your vin We will only fit OE parts and not the 3D printed parts off eBay due to low tensile strength Regards VagPro LTD
Hello, I have a similar problem with a sheared rail guide and a roof that doesnt close completely ( small gap ) . Can you recommend where to get this work done ?
Sure , thanks , your video is great. Whilst here can you advise if there is any way to close the roof completely? It has a slight gap which creates air noise when driving.

Hi
Its detailed in our other video, also obvious if you lay out the parts as they can only work correctly in one order 😊
