If the game wasn't rushed, ALL ammo would get that perk. IIRC, there's a glitch to add that perk to ANY but not unique gun in your inventory!? It was an amount of 3 years though, so can't recall the how-to? But vaguely remembers that storing those glitched guns in containers removes the perk, so choose your gun wisely.
It does 1.2x damage and reduces opponent DT by 6, that increases the effectiveness quite a bit for .44 magnum and trail carbines. The .44 magnum is an end game weapon with the right perks and build, at least against human opponents. The SWC rounds you get from this guy are a non trivial improvement to the damage spread, and are more reliably effective than Hollow points as most enemies have some type of DT. Plus you can cosplay as dirty Harry, there's even a GRA challenge for killing Vipers/Jackals with a .44 magnum. You can't tell me it isn't fun to clear out Vault 3 and the west Vegas ruins with the mysterious magnum and SWC ammo. It's the ultimate Big Iron experience, bringing law to the lawless through a 6 gun.
I am pretty sure you get this recipe with the handloader perk but a pretty good perk for a gun playthrough however, this gonna sound weird but I sort of wish the effect menu was a little less hefty to remember. Like just say "this will perform better as a hollow point, this will perform as an AP", such like that.
I'm going eventually upload a vid about .44 magnum semi wadcutters to see if they really do have better performance. I already have a vid up about my real life New Vegas .44 mag revolver. I've got nearly the exact revolver from the game.
@@nfrcomputers the workbench lets you convert any energy ammo type into each other. Bullets for a specific gun have to be bought or reloaded. Energy weapon ammo is easy to recycle and cheap to buy from everywhere. Muggy gives me 50 mfc every time i talk to him for free.

I need better boollets
Go get em🤴
Been watching some Hickok45
just remember:
BUBBA S PISSIN HOT RELOADS ARE CANON
Dialogue that's better than any Bethesda Fallout
That's a low bar.
It's basic western theme dialogue. You'd see this in majority of western movies.
@@HamanKarn567 Thats the point. Bethesda writing is so bad some random cowboy with generic movie dialogue in New Vegas is better written.

@@demsocialistboi No? New Vegas fanboys dont mention Bethesda, they're too busy mentioning New Vegas lmao, You sound angry haha
It’s only for the .44 mag though. Also it only really gives you better DT.
Yes sir. I still think its cool for gunslinger builds especially

With the gunrunners dlc and an ammo mod, it was beautiful. I loved the hunting shotgun. Slugs for distance and coinshot for close
Don't think I've ever found these and 99% of my playthroughs are guns, repair and science
The boolet giver
get the hand loader perk. 70 repair req, lots of extra punchy goodness
Got it
Having a high Survival has other benefits too. It's not just for this recipe.
I've always had the semi wadcutters because I always got handloader too lol
A good alternative to the hand loader perk. The .44 is a good gun, and the lonesome drifter gives you access to a unique variant pretty early.
Goddamn nan i completely forgot this guy even existed and the whole location he's in
TL;DW random hobo thinks he is your equal
iirc its the same bullet type that you can make with the hand loader perk

Hardcore Mode allows certain perks requiring Survival thresholds to shine. Particularly with the ones who have a knack for crafting.

It's a must if you plan to play Hardcore Mode. I would even argue it's even worth investing than Medicine and it pairs well with melee-focused builds.
