Hi Steven, no serious hesitation - there are pros and cons. The area gets summer rainfall which means big puddles along the roads where the animals drink but that also means they don't congregate at the water holes/dams as much and that the vegetation is thicker than in winter when there is less rainfall. The thicker vegetation can make it more tricky to spot the animals but we've never had it have that much of an impact to our trip. We are actually going this coming December again :). Another not serious, but potential con, is that the park is very busy in December so there are a lot of people on the roads/at sightings, so you'll have less time at a sighting if others are there/arrive but the pro of this is that when you see cars stopped you'll know there is a good sighting. Just another note, if you are going to the northern region of Kruger I would suggest looking into Malaria tablets, they are less necessary in the southern region (where we go).
Thanks for the comment Peter. Glad to hear you know Kruger well, it's such a beautiful part of SA. Unfortunately royalty free music is hard to find now-a-days, can imagine working with music that it would be especially difficult to hear the repetition.
Looks amazing
You went in December, December is the easiest month for me to vacation. Do you have any hesitations reccomending December for Kruger?

Lovely. An area I know well. BUT the MUSIC drives me morose, I write music & I so wanted to add & subtract from the boring repetition.
