There are some events that are part of history in the bible, but not all of them are. The ones that are not actual literal events of history are still part of history in that these stories have been passed down for centuries to continue the human experience in seeking deity. I personally don't believe the bible is the authority on deity but I believe it's a catalyst for growing faith in a deity. If not faith in a deity, then faith in that we have divinity within ourselves that makes our existence incredible meaningful.
Notice how she actually explained what about reading the Bible led her to faith? Where as atheists like the previous commenter have no real well thought out explanation at all, just "reading the Bible made me an atheist."
I had a similar story, my grandma was very religious and my parents not. I eas agnostic so i decided to read the bible when i was 14 and i became atheist :-) btw if "what matters is what you believe" what about if u believe in unicorns or santa claus?
"what about if you believe in unicorns or Santa Claus?" You are committing the false equivalency fallacy because there is no evidence for unicorns or Santa Claus. And you are also guilty of the personal incredulity fallacy and also the argument from ignorance.
You should be embarrassed that you are now a celebrity of sorts because you woke up one day and decided that the notion of a god is real. You decide it is true and you become famous for it. Does it get any more absurd?
@@domc2909 If you're with her than you're an idiot. You don't decide something exists. If that's how it worked the dictionary would be fifty feet thick. This woman is insanely stupid.
Now comes the difficult part, agreeing and staying obedient ✝️
I think it’s so scary for people to know that they are so recklessly and revolutionarily loved forever
Keep the faith.
