  • Here's my fully worked Fb Holden running quite a unique combination of original and custom parts in particular the grey motor ground build bottom up using all original speed equipment from the 60's to create 110 rwhp, anyone who is building or have build a grey know how hard it is to achieve the right combination for great horse power gains.

Ohh , WOW ! That Motor is so clean ! A clean Car through and through !
I have a Question ! The Valves on those Motors , the Springs and the Collets , what was that top bit called that sat on top of the Springs and was held down with the Collets onto the Valve Stem ? Is that called a Valve Stem Seat ? I had an FB Holden plus the others too , earlier Models , but all had the Grey Motor in them , even an FJ and I used the Motor out of it and fitted it into my FB Holden but I had the change the front Engine Mounting Plate around the other way and then it fitted ! I cannot find it on the Net what those things were called , on top of the Valve Springs ! It used to break those Seats periodically and I would be sitting on the side of the Road under the open Bonnet , fixing it ,lol ! I ALWAYS had a lot of Spare Parts in the Boot of that/my Car ,lol ! Wonderful Years , those Years , I learned a lot about those Grey Motors , how to fix them anyway ! Re-ring them , etc ! Yeahhhh !

nice car mate, should stick an original steering wheel on her though, i reckon it would look a lot better

I love it too. And I especially love the grey. I think Jackson has a point about the steering wheel, but i wanna suggest something else. Can you get the Holden classic red hub in the middle of the steering wheel? That would be cool. By the time of the FB, they may have changed to a black hub, but either way, with the gold Holden inlay, it would look great. Congrats on making a great car. And btw, you can get a grey up to 140.
