I was asked that once. I brought up pharoah's magicians when Moses threw his staff down and it turned into a snake. The magicians threw their staffs down and they also turned into snakes. Ending with Moses's snakes devouring the other magicians. In other words other religions can counterfeit signs and miracles but they are nothing compared to our God.

An excellent point which I wish Frank would have brought up (and I know he already knows this) and one that I think answers the doubts from the skeptic even better is that we can sidestep the entire question of "what about the miracles of other religions?" by simply pointing out the exclusivity inherent in the Christian religion. Jesus Christ claims to be the ONLY WAY TO GOD and, in fact, ONE WITH that same God, not to mention that he claims to alone be "the truth and the life" (John 14:6) So he claims to be God himself and the ONLY God there is. So right there, even if we have miraculous supernatural things truly occurring in other religions, it stands to reason, that if Christ's claims are true (proven thru various means such as the resurrection, etc), then that automatically excludes ALL OTHER religions from offering anyone any hope of some sort of pleasant afterlife, meeting God, going to heaven, being true themselves in offering a different God, etc So it does not matter whether the skeptic of Christianity can prove miraculous things occurring in other religions, so long as the Christian claims concerning Christ remains true and haven't been aptly defeated by the skeptic, then it follows that all other religions are false except for Christianity. As a side note, from a Christian perspective, there could indeed seem to be miracles occurring in other religions with no natural explanation. This could simply be the work of demonic forces as we know from scripture that they do such fake miracles to deceive others. So we needn't automatically assume we have to DISprove miracles of other religions, because, given my above argument, Christianity would remain the only true religion despite the occurrence of miracles in other religions. This is why I believe the above argument is a stronger one than what Frank offered (certainly no discredit meant to him) because Frank's answer could be problematic if one can prove a miracle(s) as happening in another religion, whereas the above argument is immune to any such attack no matter whether a miracle occurred in another religion or not.
Wow miracles happen in your religion are miracles but when it happens in other religions then it's a demonic power. Ehmm you can put any religion there, same excuse. This type of mentality is the reason why people are running away from religions.
Other religions: "Miracle X happened". Frank Turek: "Do you have any evidence that happened?" Do you, Frank? Do you? The inability of some religious fanatics to reflect on their ideas and actions, is incredible.
What evidence does he have that Christian miracles are more relevant than any other belief systems relationship to miracles. This guy has a really simplistic view of life
Interesting how Christians will use evidence and skepticism to question other religions and their veracity but won't use it on their own. Also, since when is the "impressiveness" of a supposed supernatural event a measuring stick to tell if something was supernatural or not. Also, and lastly, nice ad hominem attack on the lady's friend at the end who became a Buddhist.
Christianity has been scrutinized and challenged since its inception and continues to this day It has withstood and overcome them all Atheists have run out of arguments to challenge Christianity.
@@Jin-dc7gl The more intelligent and critical thinker you are, the more you come to realize how poor the evidentiary support for Christianity is. If you think Christianity has “overcome” scrutiny, then you are either intellectually dishonest or don’t understand how to think critically.
Why do religious people say this? People that don’t believe in a God is because lack of evidence or proof. That it. If someone could produce evidence for a specific God their would be only one God and a mass exodus towards that God. But there isn’t evidence, so all religions are faith based... ironic don’t you think.
And most Christians believe in Christianity because they were born and raised in a Westernized country and were socialized to believe in the dominant religion. If they were born in an Islamic country, they’d be a Muslim.
As a polytheist, I would like to say that it is possible for multiple different religions to have their own miracles; one of the main flaws of monotheism is that it applies special pleading when it comes to miracles, as they see miracles that occur in their religion as confirming it, but have to come up with all kinds of excuses to explain away the miracles of other religions. Lots of religions of have stories of miracles; Shamanistic religions attribute healing powers to shamans via the spirits, the hurricanes that destroyed the Mongol armies who invaded Japan were attributed as miracles from the kami, the Roman statesman Marcus Terentius Varro theorized that diseases were caused by tiny organisms ala bacteria and viruses, despite the fact that the technology to see and confirm these things hadn't been invented yet, which one could interpret as a miracle from one or more of the Roman gods.
I love that last little bit about the church being the church. That’s something I’ve been talking about for a couple of years now, and finally starting to understand what true Christianity looks like thanks to that.
Frank has been answering the same questions for years. He’s like a refrigerator salesman selling the same fridge for 20 years. Yeah, he knows his product.

majinhiei7 Your mistake is thinking "finely tuned" means there is some great piano repair man in the sky. The only logical solution is that there are many universes, most of which are not capable of supporting life. The vacuum of space creates something out of nothing all the time. It's probably too much for a religious person to comprehend but pairs of particles are being created and then annihilated (Heisenberg's uncertainty principle). Virtual photons are being created out of nothing and is scientifically proven by the Casimir effect. Choose science, it is a lot more wondrous than just saying "God did it".

Also there's a vast difference in the Character of Jesus before the crucifixion in Mark's account and The Gospel According to Luke. One speaks of a forsaken character and the other speaks of a character totally aware that God is on his side. The conventional method would be to jam the stories but that's not how the stories are supposed to be read since they were not written at the same but decades later. It can be tested with reason and stand up to intellectual scrutiny. About those “Gold Plates” and Mormonism. I’d recommend people look into that a much closer. Frank tries to trivialize them in a fashion similar to someone claiming “I can make bread and catch fish too!” Such an argument when understood in context is absurd. The object is not the miracle. Taking miracles on a case by case basis requires understanding the case. Read the testimonies of the witnesses to the plates. Pray and ask God and receive revelation for yourself. Contrary to what this man says, the canon is not closed. If so there is a great flaw in the scriptures because they say no such thing. YOU can receive revelation and God calls prophets today.
The problem with Turek’s response is that he takes the Bible at face value when it says there were eye-witnesses to the resurrection. Also, I don’t think he ever mentions that we don’t really know who wrote the 4 gospels; also, we don’t have good reason to attribute them to The disciples of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
@@ffmmain8673 The irony is that apologists like Turek seemingly are able to apply critical thinking and skepticism when evaluating the supernatural/miracle claims of other religions. But all that goes out the window when they are asked to defend the supernatural/miracle claims of their religion.
I'm a Christian, but I think you're setting people up to be deceived if you say that other religions aren't capable of miracles. What about when Pharaoh's magicians duplicated Moses' miracles in Exodus 7:22 through the use of secret arts? What about in Revelation 13:13 where it says that the 2nd Beast performed great signs and was able to make fire come from heaven? "Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth." The difference is that unlike the Holy Spirit, their miracles are limited and finite, but they're still within the realm of what people would consider "supernatural", which is what gives them the ability to deceive people who think that only Christ is capable of miracles.
That's a really good question and one that I've thought about in depth; until I came to the realisation that the Pharaohs were in fact pagans. They were idol worshipers (think Isis, Horus etc..). Their entire belief system was based on an idol religion; which is in turn based fundamentally on Satanism. So it is not implausible to conclude that some of the "miracles" they performed was the direct result of black magic inspired by Satan himself. Don't forget that Satan is the master deceiver.

"What About the Miracles of Other Religions?" Or, if you want to use an honest title: "What About the Claimed Miracles of Other Religions? How Do They Compare to the Claimed Miracles of Christianity?"
Claimed miracles of Catholicism are scientifically studied and are scientifically unexplainable. Look up on RUclips "Inspired By Carlo Acutis - Scientific Evidence of Eucharistic Miracles". That's the tip of the iceberg regarding scientifically corroborated and analyzed Catholic miracles. A lot of the Catholic miracles have actual, physical concrete evidence to back up their miraculousness.
@@a.r.4093 "Claimed miracles of Catholicism are scientifically studied and are scientifically unexplainable." They are also unproven. There is no evidence ( scientific or otherwise) for any miracle. Also, just because something may currently be scientifically unexplainable does not mean it is a miracle. "That's the tip of the iceberg regarding scientifically corroborated and analyzed Catholic miracles. " RUclips videos touting miracles don't interest me. Post links to scientific journals that have scientific evidence for miracles. " A lot of the Catholic miracles have actual, physical concrete evidence to back up their miraculousness." Such as? Present some. here is a time saver for you: someone claiming the miracle happened isn't evidence for the miracle, no matter how many people make the claim.
The issue with skeptics is that they automatically assume the evidence I provide them is fictitious without even delving into it. The "RUclips video" I suggested has interviews with the doctors who did scientific analysis on the Eucharist miracle hosts, for example. It’s impossible for me to provide you in-depth analysis and evidence in a youtube comment, so you’ll need to do your own research on the backstory and related information regarding the evidence I provide. Besides the Eucharistic Miracles, there’s the scientifically unexplainable Tilma from Our Lady of Guadalupe, The Miracle of the Sun at Fatima (approx. 70k people, both atheist and religious, witnessed it AND Mother Mary predicted the end of WWI and the beginning of WWII during the apparition), The prophecy of the Rwandan Genocide by Mother Mary during Her Kibeho apparition, the presently incorrupt bodies of deceased Saints from decades ago and their medically impossible miracles, the near-death experiences in which people are pronounced dead on the operating table, float above their bodies, can hear/see everything the doctors and nurses are saying/doing, then enter a new realm in Heaven and meet Jesus....The list goes on and on. I highly suggest looking into all of these examples, even though that's just a small portion of evidence. If you don’t look into the details of the miracles you will never understand them. Every skeptic I encounter says "just because science can't explain something doesn't mean it's miraculous"...well, every single skeptic who has said that to me has refused to look deeper into the evidence and the in-depth information about the miracles. If they did look into the evidence, they'd understand how it's unequivocally miraculous.
@@a.r.4093 "The issue with skeptics is that they automatically assume the evidence I provide them is fictitious without even delving into it." No, the issue is that when we hear a claim, we base the need for evidence on what is being claimed. If you tell me you had chicken for lunch yesterday, it is a very mundane claim & would require no evidence because my view on the nature of reality wouldn't be changes by my believing or not believing the claim. "The "RUclips video" I suggested has interviews with the doctors who did scientific analysis on the Eucharist miracle hosts, for example." Name the scientists, list their credentials, and name the scientific journals their results were published in. "It’s impossible for me to provide you in-depth analysis and evidence in a youtube comment" Then just name the scientists, list their credentials, and name the scientific journals their results were published in. "Besides the Eucharistic Miracles, there’s the scientifically unexplainable Tilma from Our Lady of Guadalupe, The Miracle of the Sun at Fatima " Since there is no actual evidence that this event happened, there is nothing that needs to be explained scientifically. "the near-death experiences " There is a reason these are called near death experiences and not death. Can you guess why? "then enter a new realm in Heaven and meet Jesus." And Hindus who didn't die but had a near death experience tell a different story. "The list goes on and on." You mean the list of claims goes on and on. But none of the claims has been proven. You mentioned a scientific study. Name the scientists, list their credentials, and name the scientific journals their results were published in.
@@cnault3244 Respectfully, the common theme with Skeptics is that they expect me to provide them everything, as if I am subordinate to them and owe them something, and as if doing their own research on the miracles is beneath them. If you aren't willing to do your own research, then honestly I don't know what to say. I gave you the miracle references, it's now up to you to research them. To expect me to provide you paragraphs of backstory and information in the RUclips comments sections seems extremely impractical. The evidence is there, I provided you examples, so you can look them up in further detail if you choose. All the information is out there. My intent of writing these comments was not to write paragraphs of responses back and forth, but to give you evidence of God's existence so that you can delve deeper into it yourself.

I studied all the worlds religions. Christianity and Buddhism are very similar and how they teach morality, except Buddhism has no God. That again begs the question “who decides what is moral?”
Reading the books of the New Testament, we possibly asked ourselves more than once: *"Why 2000 years we do not see those miracles that accompanied the Сhurch of Christ in the I century, as described in the New Testament?"* Why do the so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed and atheists boldly deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Сhurch of Christ has not existed for 2000 years? The Сhurch does not exist in the form in which it is presented in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other christian sects claiming to be the place of the Church, but they not have the only thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic of just the Сhurch of Christ -the reinforcement of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mark 16:15-20). Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. In this world, the great fertility of atheism can be explained by the fact that there is no main opponent of critics of the Bible - the Church. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then there would be the same controversy throughout the world as in the first century - Jesus the Son of God or the false prophet who seduces the world by miracles. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist. Why do people denounce every bit of evidence deduced from one form of inquiry when it contradicts their belief system but tout the authority of the SAME method if the evidence supports their beliefs? An excellent point which I wish Frank would have brought up (and I know he already knows this) and one that I think answers the doubts from the skeptic even better is that we can sidestep the entire question of "what about the miracles of other religions?" by simply pointing out the exclusivity inherent in the Christian religion.
Jesus Christ claims to be the ONLY WAY TO GOD and, in fact, ONE WITH that same God, not to mention that he claims to alone be "the truth and the life" (John 14:6)
So he claims to be God himself and the ONLY God there is.
So right there, even if we have miraculous supernatural things truly occurring in other religions, it stands to reason, that if Christ's claims are true (proven thru various means such as the resurrection, etc), then that automatically excludes ALL OTHER religions from offering anyone any hope of some sort of pleasant afterlife, meeting God, going to heaven, being true themselves in offering a different God, etc
So it does not matter whether the skeptic of Christianity can prove miraculous things occurring in other religions, so long as the Christian claims concerning Christ remains true and haven't been aptly defeated by the skeptic, then it follows that all other religions are false except for Christianity.
People chase for the peace of in the physical body more then the spiritual.
The physical body will soon fade away!

Do you, Frank?
Christianity has been scrutinized and challenged since its inception and continues to this day
It has withstood and overcome them all
Atheists have run out of arguments to challenge Christianity.
@@Jin-dc7gl The more intelligent and critical thinker you are, the more you come to realize how poor the evidentiary support for Christianity is. If you think Christianity has “overcome” scrutiny, then you are either intellectually dishonest or don’t understand how to think critically.
150 years after the fact isn't an eye witness lol.
Most people are angry at religions (Christianity especially) because it doesn't allow them to continue to enjoy their favorite sins without guilt.

If a miracle supposes the happening of something supernatural bringing good consequences, you have to agree there is a divine agent who orchestrates it, and that it has a sentient moral goodness behind the miraculous action, if you can't agree with that then it's not a credible miracle.

I was fairly impressed with Frank until I watched him with Christopher Hitchens. I was disappointed to watch him swallowed up by anger and frustration and argue with such emotion. I’m not anything close to an Atheist, on the contrary I strive to live true Christianity. A lot of what this guy says is solid, but beware of what he discounts. Beware of his “logical proofs” because they tend to be utterly besides the point. Faith is the principle from which you find the Power of God.

"Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth."
The difference is that unlike the Holy Spirit, their miracles are limited and finite, but they're still within the realm of what people would consider "supernatural", which is what gives them the ability to deceive people who think that only Christ is capable of miracles.

"What About the Miracles of Other Religions?"
Or, if you want to use an honest title: "What About the Claimed Miracles of Other Religions? How Do They Compare to the Claimed Miracles of Christianity?"
Claimed miracles of Catholicism are scientifically studied and are scientifically unexplainable. Look up on RUclips "Inspired By Carlo Acutis - Scientific Evidence of Eucharistic Miracles". That's the tip of the iceberg regarding scientifically corroborated and analyzed Catholic miracles. A lot of the Catholic miracles have actual, physical concrete evidence to back up their miraculousness.
@@a.r.4093 "Claimed miracles of Catholicism are scientifically studied and are scientifically unexplainable."
They are also unproven. There is no evidence ( scientific or otherwise) for any miracle.
Also, just because something may currently be scientifically unexplainable does not mean it is a miracle.
"That's the tip of the iceberg regarding scientifically corroborated and analyzed Catholic miracles. "
RUclips videos touting miracles don't interest me. Post links to scientific journals that have scientific evidence for miracles.
" A lot of the Catholic miracles have actual, physical concrete evidence to back up their miraculousness."
Such as?
@@a.r.4093 "The issue with skeptics is that they automatically assume the evidence I provide them is fictitious without even delving into it."
No, the issue is that when we hear a claim, we base the need for evidence on what is being claimed.

What about Judaism?... How will you deal with their miracles?!!
As a Christian our issue isn't with Judaism beyond the fact that the Messiah has already come. Judaism is still waiting for Him and in doing so they deny the truth
@@nikaoharbour6962 so you're saying that the messiah already came?... So tell me... Do you see a perfect world now? I mean, we both agree that this world is still full of evil, then how can you explain that he already came?!

Every religion has a peace of the truth of what is. But not one has the whole pie.
when i see two religious people in conflict ..its like two blind people arguing about the right direction to go ....
Sorry, but... THAT is a lame answer to the question asked. "You have to evaluate them on a case by case basis and when you do that they pale in comparison.....". Do you KNOW what miracles are claimed by other religions to even evaluate? They're a lot of the same types of miracles: Levitation, healing, raising from dead, etc. In fact, unlike the stories passed down via hearsay there's video evidence of miracles today where you can see someone floating or people being healed. Now, a person can skeptically say those are faked, but in terms of actual evidence, it certainly doesn't "pale in comparison".
I love how he sees the problems in the ideas of others but is completely blind to his own. Haha or when he uses the intentions of others as proof that their ideas a wrong. This is a fallacy people.
You have to lie to yourself to believe in one specific religion.

Believing in God with no proof is insane
I don't remember the verse but the New Testament mentions that false prophets can perform great miracles but that kind of miracle does not save souls.
Fallen angels, disobedient spirits, can perform great wonders.
God said that if any prophet claiming to speak on His behalf does a wonder or says something that does later happen, and tries to get the people to follow a different Way, then that is God allowing it and testing the people.
He mocks other religions much more easily than than he does Christianity. Mocking Christianity is extremely easy. Not sure why he doesn’t go there.
I studied all the worlds religions. Christianity and Buddhism are very similar and how they teach morality, except Buddhism has no God. That again begs the question “who decides what is moral?”
God acts on a universal scale to guide all beings towards grace.
"Some things that people supposedly find persuasive.... I don't get it." Yup, that basically sums up Frank Turek for me.
Lol that's probably all Christians

Man of Another Faith: MY religion has miracles

1st man of faith actually brought up evidence. remember the eucharist miracle of solkokka in 2008? the one that got studied by actual scientists?
@@lowtiergod7166 There are too many rabbit holes to be getting in the weeds regarding any particular anecdote. All I can say regarding what happened in Sokolk is that the private study, that commissioned the 2 Catholic scientists to run the tests, was never released to the public in its entirety.
Why do people denounce every bit of evidence deduced from one form of inquiry when it contradicts their belief system but tout the authority of the SAME method if the evidence supports their beliefs?
Our world view is created more by our beliefs about the world than our actual knowledge of the world. This is why a shared experience can have multiple interpretations.
It is right to question the belief of others but it is hypocritical to do so while insisting that your beliefs should not and can not be questioned.

Not to mention talismans, amulets, symbolism, uniforms, chanting, astrological scheduling ,head bobbing and mood enhancing candles and fragrances.

When I read the comments on here of all the aspiring Christian Apologists even the avg Christian who wants to defend there faith. I want to point out...sarcastic tone, belittling the opposing beliefs and idea discouragement is not the core of persuasion of the Gospel. These are things the world created and operates in. The manifestation of the persuasion maybe the cool tones and witty remarks, but it’s not the engine of Christian apologetics. Remember to speak in true love, that is sourced by the genuine love for your faith...and the Love for the opposing human being. Anything else is less affective and fruitful. I believe.
I would love to have a discussion with this man. There are some things that should be cleared up about Buddhism 😂 🙏🏻
Oh, here we go. Not even started the video, and let me guess. Christian “miracles” = God did it. Anything else, the devil and demons did it🤦🏻♂️
“As above, so below”
Because maybe other religions cant make a miracle..accept a magic (aka devil's work)
Gio Sam the closest thing we have to “miracles” or supernaturalism is the science we do not yet understand. Other than that, miracles don’t happen. It’s fantasy fiction.
Christian apologists have all kinds of verbal gymnastics to get around that fact. It’s ridiculous this has to be explained in our day and age.
Obviously ancient religious texts were written in an age where most were illiterate, uneducated, and easily fooled. gods and miracles were the explanation of the unknown. We have no need of it today.
Why do so many cling to the bad relics of ignorance?
Yeah, as you said, it’s very clear you didn’t watch the video before you wrote this comment since the video isn’t even about your comment.
