Truck Pulling is known as “the world’s heaviest motorsport.” The goal of truck pulling is to determine the strongest machine and the best driver. Different to every other motorsport in the world, it is not about the speed, but distance pulled. trucks drag a metal sled along a prescribed course. The sled contains a box filled with weight that is mechanically winched forward as the sled progresses along the course. Pulling this ever-increasing load eventually causes the vehicle to lose forward momentum and torque, although a rare few might indeed reach the end of the course, known as a “full pull.” The distance from start to finish is measured in thousandths of an inch and the truck that pulls the sled the farthest distance is declared the winner. If more than one competitor reaches the full pull mark, a pull-off is held to determine a winner. The drag (sled) is known as a weight transfer drag (sled). This means that, as it is pulled down the track, the weight is transferred from over the rear axles and towards the front of the drag (sled). In front of the rear wheels, instead of front wheels, there is a "pan". This is essentially a metal plate, and as the weight moves toward it, the resistance between the pan and the ground builds. The farther the truck pulls the drag (sled), the more difficult it gets

@@bornyesterday3627 6.7=Great engine (besides first year, still had some growing pains), but just in a truck that still hasnt dipped below 30k used. 6.4 JUNK, but runs like a raped ape until it blows, 6.0: shit stock unless you bulletproof it, and then its a powerhouse, 7.3 P.S.: workhorse, slow, not as much power/torque potential as a cummins, but very reliable. 6.9 and 7.3 IDI ( sommon misconception, they are completely different from a 7.3 powerstroke), slow dogs but will outlive cockroaches.

@@scottw2157 "40+ years best selling truck line, gotta be a reason" yeah the reason is because you have to replace them every year :))). [im just fucking with you, I don't have a bias when it comes to trucks as long as they get the job done.] Honestly if you built a truck with the Ford body, Cummins engine/7.3 idi and the Allison trans you would have a bullet proof truck.
