When I worked at boeing we were pushed to meed product delivery deadlines no matter what. I quit in 2020 because i was so stressed out i couldn't take it anymore. We were building the massive vertical srabilizer of a 787 in as little as 1.5 days. It should take a week. We were threatened with mandatory 12 hour shifts and weekends to catch up to their schedule of 3 day builds. 5 or 6 days should be the minimum for quality and safety. I also witnessed severely damaged parts being used anyway because engineering was afraid to make the call to scrap them.
They really need to crack down on Executive bonuses more than anything. A company that fails to make a profit shouldn't be paying their CEO's millions of dollars in bonuses.
It's backwards. The people who ACTUALLY make the products (engineers, software developers, etc.) should be the ones making the most money. They are literally MAKING the product. The CEO does nothing. The CEO should get paid the least. They just sit there and point to a goal that everyone else has to reach.
