BRAND NEW Norwegian Boeing 737 MAX 8 Takeoff & Landing at Edinburgh Airport

- Hi all. On Tuesday the 18th July 2017 I ventured across to Edinburgh to catch Norwegian’s brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8. Norwegian operated the first ever European commercial flight of the 737 MAX on the 15th July, so this aircraft is very new, it was only delivered at the end of June. In this video, their second 737 MAX 8 departs and arrives on the daily Edinburgh to Oslo 737 MAX flight. As far as I’m aware this is the first video of a 737 MAX at Edinburgh and in Scotland. I hope you all enjoy.

I love the new spool up engine sound. Very reminiscent of the 777 & 787 albeit much quieter.

Was the landing or the takeoff first? Cause it was the same plane that took off and landed

How does this air craft delivered to it's customers?
Say, if they wanted to deliver a boeing 737 to a Chinese airlines, how does this transported from USA to Chinese?

they pick them up in seattle and fly them home. the max is a semi long hauler, but even so if the distance is too far for one hop they will simply land, refuel and continue.
They say noise emissions decreased by 75%, but it doesn’t seem like it. I Know it has the shark tooth design on the back of the engine like a 787, but it sounds like about as noisy as any old 737
Its 40% not 75% and those who have flown on it have confirmed that it is indeed quieter. I once watched one take off at the airport where I am based and compared to the classics and NGs we regularly see, that MAX was definitely quieter

Pretty slick looking passanger plans but doesn't matter how nice they were made to look they Crash glad nobody else will be able to purchase a death ticket on these old planes shame on boeing

It is the best and safest airplane ever designed .design is great aerodynamics marvellous. Grounded most propbley for human mistake missing with electrical part of the plan .I wish I can buy a one just to live in .great plane .Boeing have the best and safest efficient records better than bus for sure it is airplanes.:)
